"Trattoria" has been a favorite for over a decade. Friendly bar atmosphere, well made cocktails. Nice to be greeted by Michael, Maitre D with a glass of champagne and a warm welcome as we headed to our table. Service was terrific, our waiter was knowledgeable and fun and took very good care of our group.
Food is consistent and very good. Great NY attitude.
( Hope management brings back the original "Tuna Filet"..miss it.
We had an excellent experience. From the maitre D when we first arrived to the Busby. Everybody was attentive and personal. Food was delicious . Will definitely go back !
I had not been in a long time and we went back for my husband’s birthday. We were stuck in front of the restaurant. Service was fair. Food was not - was cold and tasteless but expensive. $28. for a margherite pizza. Meatball appetizer for 4 was really for 1. My son’s drink tasted like soap. When we told the waiter, he drank from my son’s glass before taking it back. Ewwww. The waiter’s schtick was to be annoyed when we inquired about a dish or asking for bread-which got old. We we excited to return with our kids and their significant others. We were embarrassed by the end of dinner. We will think twice before returning or recommending. Or we just won’t.
The food still is delicious italian food. The service was extremely attentive and nice!
Food was wonderful and waitstaff was incredibly knowledgeable.
Wonderful food! Wonderful people! Wonderful service! My favorite place in the city!
Trattoria Dell'Arte is one of my favorite restaurants in NYC. I tell everyone I know it is a MUST TRY! Definitely get the 101 layer lasagna bolognese and/or the tuna, your life will never be the same.
We were to lunch. Everything was perfect. I ate an carbonara pasta and my husband lasagna. Both was perfect !! Tomato and buffalo mozzarella too
Always dependable for the food, service and beverages
We had a great beginning to our evening with the waiter being fantastic and helpful. As soon as we were seated, we had water and our waiter came to the table. He served our wine took our dinner order, shortly after our salads arrived and then we sat for a good 45 minutes to an hour waiting for our dinners. Our dinners were cold but by that time we didn't have any time to send them back due to having to rush across the street for a show. We allotted over two hours for a nice dinner and were very disappointed with our experience.
Tables for two are lined along the wall and small space between so it was too crowded, moves were very disruptive. Hi
We really loved it there. They were friendly and very helpful with the allergies.
This theatre district trattoria has the feel of a homey neighborhood restaurant. We had a family get together of 7 adults and an infant in a stroller. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the food was excellent.
Ce restaurant n'a pas su se renouveler. La nourriture était correct mais sans plus.
The staff at Trattoria is always so warm, welcoming and accommodating and the ambiance is the same. Always a great meal and great overall dining experience.
Depending on what is ordered, portions can be too large. Menu has a great deal of variety. Room was a tad too noisy.
This restaurant never fails to make me look good when I bring important guests to dine. The atmosphere is always lively, but quiet enough to hear conversations. The staff could not be better. the head waiter/host treats everyone like an important guest. The food is so plentiful and delicious. Do you get my drift?
The staff was very accommodating to my wife's severe and complicated food allergies; which allowed us to celebrate her birthday while on a recent weekend get-a-way to Manhattan. Their Lasagna Bolognese is also truly fantastic!
Food is always great and service was outstanding!!
It may well be the best carbonara in town. We always have attentive, friendly service and excellent food here.
The food was amazing but our service was lacking! We were served our cocktails pretty quickly but we never received our artichoke appetizer! Our waiter never checked on us for more drinks....once we said we didn’t want a bottle of wine he ignored us. But we were drinking nice selection of bourbon and vodka. Guess he heard our southern accent and figured we weren’t locals. Took awhile to get our check as well. I would recommend for delicious food but stay on top of your waiter!! We tipped the usual 20% but wish we hadn’t to prove a point. Southern hospitality, I guess😊
Excellent service and delicious food. Staff was friendly and very attentive.
Our server Isabella was fluent in Italian and made our guests from Italy feel welcomed. The food service and atmosphere are wonderful. This place has been our favorite in midtown for years.
Trip to NY to see play with old friend.
Great brunch spot! Awesome tasting Italian style food! Definitely recommend for brunch
I don’t get it. Food is ok. Tables are too close together, very noisy and overpriced. I guess it appeals to tourists.
The quality of the food isn’t what it once was.
Restaurant is very nice...tables though very close together...would have liked more space....bar is nice but also in a very crowded and tight spot. Felt like everything was crowded.Artwork interesting??!! Food was very good. Waiter was good...were somewhat rushed...brought check without our asking for it and never asked if we wanted coffee..we wanted to order cappuccino and before we could ask he handed us the check!! Location perfect for Carnegie Hall and to the parking garage which is located next door.
Just wonderful dining, great service. Greetings by coat room and reception folks was warm and impressive.
Our dinner was great, thanks!
Great dining experience! Nice atmosphere, very good food, excellent service, and close to Carnegie Hall.
Food was excellent, however, the portions were not large - although we left feeling full. Service was great. We were seated right away. As it started getting crowded, we felt we were not rushed in any way. Overall it was a great experience and would love to go back and try another dish.
The service is always outstanding!! We love it there!
Always great food and service.
Great food and wonderful service. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough.
First rate experience as always!!
Great service and the best pizzas in NYC. Good wine selection
I had been to Trattoria before and really loved it. I wanted to plan a special reunion for my family and reserved a table of 10 one week in advance. We had a nice table but I was really dissapointed my food was served cold as well as one of the members in our party. The waiter was kind to reheat it for us but I was not expecting this......not after paying the $500 tab plus the $100 tip. It was also extremely loud. We had to yell at each other. This was really dissapointing because it was our only evening out as a family together. I won't make this same mistake twice. Cynthia from San Antonio.
The restaurant was virtually empty and even with reservations they sat us (or squeezed us in) along 2-top row; so close to my neighbors table, I could have eaten off her plate. The food, subpar at best, was not worth the trip or $$$$. My chicken Milanese was so thin it was dry and looked like someone chewed it up, spit it out and they refried it. Horrible. Save your pennies and go somewhere else. Very disappointed.
We sat at the bar full menu victor made the experience great and we felt like regulars even though it was our first time there
Go and enjoy
