The menu focuses on northern Italian specialties such as the steak Florentine, double veal chop, seafood specialties of the Mediterranean, and unforgettable desserts.

In NYC to see a play, and came here for brunch. The ambiance was wonderful, the waiter friendly, knowledgeable and attentive, and the food was wonderful.. My wife had the vege antipasto plate and *loved* it! The dinner menu looks great too.. we will come back for that.
This is my favorite after theater restaurant. Great food and service.
Everything was superb!
We found this restaurant on open table and were able to easily accommodate a large group (7). The food was well made and amazing
When we go to NYC this is our first stop! The food is amazing. We are never disappointed. When crowded it can be loud but we just sot back and enjoy great food! Start with an antipasto course from a selection of delicious concoctions. Pasta, Pizza, Osso Bucco, Chicken Parm are standouts.
Best Italian meals ever. Each time we visit NYC we always make a reservation to dine here.
We went with a large party of 7 women that they accommodated very nicely. We were having a pre wedding celebration and we were greeted with great enthusiasm AND we all got a free glass of prosecco. The host was very friendly and attentive despite the fact that the restaurant was packed. Very nice experience, would come again. Food was excellent. I had the salmon, done just right. Waitress was friendly, quick and efficient.
We did not have a great experience eating dinner at Trattoria Dell'Arte. The salads and pesto pasts dishes which we ordered to share as an appetizer were all fantastic - so we were off to a great start. Our entrees were another story. Besides being told that the Bronzino was the "Best in Town", it was low quality and smelled "fishy". One of our guests sent it back for another dish because it was inedible. My wife, who chose the same dish, opted to just pushed the fish around her plate - she lost interest in eating. The Grilled Veal Chop was small in size and very fatty, not much meat. The Veal Chop Milanese was excellent. We had a tough time getting service in-between courses, and it was a such an effort to have our water glasses refilled. The cocktails and wine were fine as were the desserts. We spent a lot and felt it was not a good value.
We've been going to Trattoria Dell'Arte for many years and we are always very pleased with our experience. At our most recent visit, we notified our server, Sage, that we had a time constraint because we were heading to a show afterwards. He was a very friendly and competent server, suggested when to place our order to ensure we were out on time and then he notified us when we needed to get going! Thank you. The food, as always, was fantastic. We enjoy sitting at the bar when it's the two of us, and we enjoy sitting at a table in the bar area when we have family or friends with us.
Tonight was one of the best experiences I have had! The food was great.. the service even better!
Our waiter was very good. His recommendation of the the snapper livornese was done perfectly. The vegetable anti pasta bar was a nice touch.
I love this place. The food is excellent and the service is consistently friendly. Great for a meal before a concert at Carnegie Hall.
The food was good, as always -- especially antipasto, fried artichokes and pasta. But it was noisy, expensive and we were rushed through the meal. So though I have fond memories of what it was, what it is now doesn't live up to the memories.
One of the best restaurant experiences that I ever had. A super welcome for my wife and I on arrival which was followed up all staff we came into contact with. Magnificent garlic bread and main course. Such a joy to have found this hideaway
Food was better than I expected. It was really good. The place is in a very busy midtown area and it was packed and noisy so that took away from the ambiance. The location is great if your going to Carnegie Hall. That’s when I’ll go back when I have tickets to something there.
Great service, nice atmosphere, not a big fan of the food. All about tomato sauce. We ordered four different dishes but all we could taste was tomato sauce.
Food was great. Service was also great. Only complaint. Tables are on top of each other. And noise level high but very enjoyable meal
The food, service and ambience are top notch. The staff from the minute you enter the restaurant make you feel like a long awaited guest. The greeting and welcome are extra special. And then you get to experience the cuisine - Delicioso!! The appetizer pizza make the old way is crispy and seasoned to perfection. The choices from an abundant antipasto bar are yum! The entrees were wonderful - I had the bronzino cooked to perfection and my husband had the seafood with pasta. The only negative is that we had to leave! Definitely a NY experience not to be missed. Location is perfect, right across from Carnegie Hall. We will definitely be back.
Quaint Italian restaurant
Good location for pre or post broadway meal
Friendly and accommodating
Chicken parmigiana was tast
Went to see a concert at Carnegie Hall. The service was awesome and they got us out right on time. The food was delicious and better than expected. Will definitely go back!
We arrived with our party of 8 and were seated in the upstairs area which was lovely. The only small issue was the very steep stairs and 2 octogenarians in our group. It was ok but if had known I would have requested down stairs seating. The service was excellent and friendly. Everyone enjoyed their food, not one complaint but tons of praise. From salad to soup, plain past with butter (kids), meatballs, seafood and the lovely dishes where you choose 3-5 small dishes as a main. All was really good. We made it the concert at Carnegie Hall in about 2 minutes. Perfect.
One of my favorite NYC restaurants. Trattatoria Dell Arte/nose bar never disappoints.
Love this place. Great food! Veal is one of the best!
Terrific restaurant with great food and service! The noise level this time was a bit deafening.
It was my birthday and the staff did everything to make us feel like we were celebrating. When we arrived, two glasses of champagne while waiting for us at the maître d’ station. Our waiter was attentive and wonderful and we enjoyed wonderful meals including selections from their antipasto tray. I have loved this restaurant for many years and it exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended!
This Italian Trattoria has a relaxed ambiance, with an exquisite food. It is located in 7th Avenue, a couples of blocks south of Central Park.
I went with my wife and my two daughters and we tried the 3-Course Prix-Fixe menu.
I started with the “BURRATA MOZZARELLA & TOMATO SALAD WITH PESTO” then I had the “SEAFOOD PAPPARDELLE (shrimp, calamari, lemon fish, salmon)”
And for dessert I had the CAMNOLI.
Every dish was delicious!
Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Thank you so much.
Half our party was a little late. So, the manager asked that they wait for us to be seated. Once our party was complete, we were seated. Almost immediately, our table was sent a plate full of sharables from the kitchen from the manager for the wait. Our server, Sage was outstanding. Very attentive and witty. He even gave us our own photo shoot! Great food, great service, great experience. Can’t wait to go back!
Wonderful dining experience! Everything was super tasty and our waiter Anthony was super amazing! We will be returning often when visiting NYC. Perfect place to do some carb loading before the NYC marathon!
Kitchen was incredibly slow and food was bland and with way too much salt on everything
Our visit was the Sat. night before the marathon, and the restaurant was extremely chaotic, crowded and loud. Our table was next to the long line of people coming in to get a table, so the atmosphere was disappointing. But we know this was an exception.
Service was terrific !
Almost an hour wait for spaghetti and lasagna. Manager said he was sorry. We were given a deep fried appetizer that was served at room temperature, which I'm assuming was some sort of gesture to appease us. The appetizer was not good. And when the waiter asked if we liked it, we said no. Food was average and ridiculously overpriced which I guess is what happens in New York.
A dessert or maybe a discount for the inconvenience probably would have gone a long way.
I guess we can assume that since were tourist then that's why they treated the situation the way they did.
Would not recommend this place.
We had tickets at Carnegie Hall and wanted a good restaurant close by, walking distance.
Delicious food, great service and directly across the street from our venue.
Wait for a long time for melhor the food and beverage
Love the thin crust pizza and vegetable antipasti options.
Good food, good service, not a stuffy place.
Warm welcome, excellent service. All menu questions were answered fully and knowledgeably. The pasta ravioli pesto) was delicious.
Amazing food! Favorite italian restaurant in the city, the lasagna is amazing!
Incredible service from bartender & Maitre’D , our server and entire staff, fantastic ambience and food was superb!
