   Food and ambience are really good BUT the service in particular the wait staff need a few pointers on how to keep the meal moving - for example we finished our apps and the waitress walked by a few times and didn’t even bother to clear - she only cleared after the main dishes were brought to the small table which by then was completely over crowded

   Our reservation was at 8:00. We were out of there before 9:00. While the food was fantastic, the service was very rushed.

   Excellent food! Very fresh ingredients from local farms. It was a little chilly and we were outside, but they do have heaters so that helped a lot. We will be returning.

   This was our first time dining here- we liked it enough to try it again. The pasta was good, not fabulous . There are so many Italian restaurants in Philly that they all sort of meld together. The “ no corkage fee” when u bring your own bottles was very nice. The service was great. Eating inside was very noisy. Overall we liked it but we like other places more.

   Wonderful experience dining at Trattoria Carina for the first time. The service was extremely attentive - we loved our waitress. Ambiance, noise level and overall comfort of the restaurant was spot on. We started with the meatballs and the octopus - both were excellent. We agreed the meatballs were some of the best we had ever had. We shared the radiatore pasta dish with mushrooms, ricotta and hazelnuts - to die for!!!! We also shared the chicken parm which was quite possibly the best chicken parm we have ever had - super crispy chicken, tender enough to cut with a fork - not too thick not too thin and the portion was extremely large! My friend and I are big eaters and we both could only eat about 1/3 each of the cutlet and still had 1/3 left that we brought home. It came with spaghetti as well. For dessert we both had espressos and shared the cannoli budino - which was amazing! We will definitely return and I highly recommend for some of the best Italian in the city.

   The meatballs are absolutely amazing! The spicy crab dish had so many wonderful flavors… we had spaghetti I stayed of the pasta that came with the dish and the spaghetti was perfect, fantastic! Our waiter went above and beyond with fixing me an after dinner drink. Plan time for parking. Nothing around restaurant.

    The pasta was barely warm when served and had to be returned to be reheated. Actually tasted really good hot! The plates should be hot to keep the food hot. They were cold around the edges Even After the reheating. Disappointed!

    I love Trattoria Carina, and once again, it did not disappoint! I was there with a friend, and we got the meatballs, burratta, and caesar salad as appetizers to share. All were AMAZING!!! For our entrees, I got the chicken parmesan, and my friend got the sausage rigatoni alla vodka.....both were very yummy!!! I cannot recommend Trattoria Carina enough....it is one of my favorites!

    Our waiter, Tyler, was very attentive! The food was amazing from the apps (burrata and mushroom toast) to the veal special and chicken parm to the tiramisu! 10/10 recommend and will be going back!

    Server didn’t come back, food was cold by the time I was able to ask a question about it. Everything was piled with too much cheese. Fish was decent. No gluten free options for dessert.

    This was my first time to the restaurant and I enjoyed myself I must say. It is a trattoria as opposed to a restaurant so the menu is a little more limited but what they did offer was very good many people talked about the spicy crab pasta so I got it and it was very good.also had burrata and I enjoyed that. The seating is very close you're almost on top of each other. So you have to be willing to be comfortable with that it can be somewhat noisy but not overwhelming.

    It was great, food was great. Only issue was they brought us the burrata which has pine nuts on it and we had a peanut and green nut allergy at the table. Besides that outstanding meal and great staff.

    The pasta was amazing as usual. The noise level inside the restaurant was pretty loud but given the quality of the food, I'm willing to put up with it to enjoy the amazing pasta.

    Delcious food, excellent service. We sat outside on a beautiful fall evening. There was street noise, but it's a city, so it didn't bother us or impact our conversations. I will go back the next time I'm in Philly.

    Service was top notch and the food was delicious. I enjoyed their brunch menu and ordered the gemelli (butternut squash) pasta. I think could eat that pasta every day and be very happy. I also tried the espresso martini, which was a delight - the sprinkle of sea salt is so smart! I would certainly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food, great service and a cute bistro-style ambiance.

    Love this little gem! Went for brunch and enjoyed everything. Split the beet salad, I got the polenta with broccoli rave and eggs(super yummy) and my bf got the traditional breakfast. Would definitely go again for brunch. Have been for dinner also and it’s equally if not more delicious Our server was very attentive and friendly.

    The food is delicious, the service is great! Sam our favorite waiter gives 💯 Inside is too noisy, so we always eat outside. We’re hoping that a makeshift constructed sidewalk area is in the making 😊!

    What a charming restaurant with fabulous food and great service. I'm not from Philly but was on a run when I spied this cute neighborhood restaurant. After reading the reviews, I got one of the last available reservations. The meal was fabulous (charred broccoli, a great pasta with mushrooms, cream and hazelnuts, tiramisu, amaro, . . ..) I'll definitely be back since I hear the spicy crab pasta is not to be missed.

    Overall - Great staff and great food. Outside tables can get a bit chilly depending on time of year. Right on the street with a bike lane. Would come here again.
