Tramonti Fifth Ave
Very good food. Very limited wine selection for a place calling itself a wine bar. And they did not have 2 of the 5 reds on the list.
We made a 4 pm reservation and arrived at 3:50 and were told they don’t open til 4-upon entering the floor was being mopped and restaurant was being set up-menu is limited and not authentic Italian food by any means -we ordered a pasta dish and asked to have a breaded cutlet and it came out with dark no breaded pieces of something they told us was a “chicken breast” then said “it’s part of the chicken cut up” . Horrible experience def won’t go back .
We would have preferred italian music with our authentic Napolitano food, which was excellent and plenti. The wait staff was also friendly and accommodating. Thank you for being open and delivering during covid, but also for continuing to be a part of the NYC dining experience.
Excellent meal at Tramonti. The gnocchi was amazing. And the branzino was fantastic. The chocolate lava cake was also delicious. Great dining option in the NoMad area.
I reserved a table at this restaurant because I saw how many good reviews they got but honestly I was very disappointed. Our waiter for the night was also the host and the food runner. He came to our table only to take our order and drop our food off and was rude the entire time. The food was sub par for “authentic Italian food”. There was loud techno music playing the whole time we were there and it just didn’t have the best ambiance for what you are expecting when you go to an Italian restaurant. I’d save your money and go to a different Italian restaurant if you are in the area.
Food disgusting especially drinks everything bad service
We were the only two people dining in on a Tuesday evening. I felt bad for the restaurant. I hope they can hold out until things return more to normal.
Service was excellent and the food was good, especially the Fried seafood appetizer. It came with calamari, scallops, and shrimp. It was fired perfectly; It was very light and tasty. Outstanding.
Entrees were tasty and good. The lava cake for dessert was so-so. All in all, we were pleased with our evening at Tramonti Fifth Avenue. We hope it survives the pandemic.
Great staff, very good food and drinks. I would visit again.
Excellent all around. Great location to Penn Station. Basil Martini very nice. We had lamb chops and sliced steak with roasted potatoes. Really delicious.
Very accommodating service. Will return.
Reservation couldn’t have worked out any better. On time and outside. Great food, service and atmosphere.
Wow! I rarely write reviews and I’m glad to report a winner on all counts. From the friendly and informed service to the fantastic menu including a good range of specials to the actual meal, top marks across the range of metrics. We will be back and I’m sure many times. This is a full menu great Italian restaurant. We had pizza for our starter just to calibrate using our standard well known margarita-pizza and then went for the branzino fish for two — side of broccolini and oven-roasted potatoes. Table-side presentation of the fish prior to, and after cooking plus again after plating on the serving platter was perfect. Fresh fish prepared really well is a treat—we enjoyed ours completely. The sides were great. The team working the bar, the maitre d, waiter and all the employees were clearly interested in their jobs and doing them well. Nice job.
Can’t say, made the reservation and walked there but they were closed.
Went for lunch with friends. Ordered from the lunch and regular menus. All plates ordered were tasty. Good selection of wines by the glass. The standout was the Italian mascarpone cheesecake. Will definitely return.
Great new addition to the neighborhood. Excellent pizza selection straight out of the wood-burning oven, delicious pastas, starters and main. Save room for dessert.
Team is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Fun place to enjoy lunch or dinner.
Try their signature cocktails or wine. Wine list is in works but all available bottles are displayed at the bar.
We will return soon.
Great new restaurant! Pizza's were outstanding! Overall experience was great...will be back!
They're still working out the details during a soft opening. We'd definitely try again once they're in full operation
