We have been coming for a few years now and this year just wasn’t the same. The new owners changed the menu too much (it’s much smaller) and the food just wasn’t the same either. Sometimes change isn’t always a good thing.

Dear Ann, Thank you for being a loyal guest over the years—we truly appreciate your continued support. We're sorry to hear that your recent visit didn’t meet the expectations you’ve come to enjoy with us. We understand that changes, especially to something as important as the menu, can be disappointing when it feels like a step away from what made the experience special. We hope you’ll consider giving us another chance in the future to provide the experience you’ve come to love. Warm regards, The Camelback Team

Overall, we did not find this dining experience to be favorable. The food quality was that of a dive bar at best. It's hard to mess up burgers and chicken sandwiches, so while they were edible, they certainly lacked any type of flavor outside of the condiments we added to them. The strawberry vinaigrette for the strawberry feta salad was so watered down that we had to ask for ranch instead. Our waitress was pretty much non-existent throughout our time there. We saw her to take our order, refill one drink, and when she brought us a box (after I flagged her down. She was also asked to bring our check which she never did). I could understand her negligence if the restaurant was busy, but it was surprisingly empty for Mother's Day evening. After waiting an additional 10-15 minutes for her to return with our check, I finally got the attention of another staff member who was willing to help us. For the price we paid for 2 adults and 2 children to eat at Trails End (no alcohol was ordered) I would just as soon take my money and visit one of the many restaurants that surrounds the resort. Convenient? Yes, but if you have the means to dine somewhere else, you'll be better off!

Dear Danelle, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We're truly sorry to hear that your dining experience at Trail’s End did not meet expectations. We take all guest feedback seriously, and it's disappointing to learn that both the food and service fell short during your visit. Burgers, sandwiches, and salads are staples on our menu, and they should always be flavorful and well-prepared. We understand your frustration and agree that convenience should never come at the cost of quality or hospitality. Please know your experience is not reflective of the standard we aim to uphold. Once more, we sincerely apologize for you experience here and we thank you for bringing this to our attention. Sincerely, The Camelback Team

Not that great of an experience going there for the 1st time. I got the $42 Ribeye that was half fat and mash potatoes were cold. Wife got pasta that was overcooked and my daughter had dried out chicken fingers. My son ordered a burger with bread and meat only. It came out with pickles on it so we asked for a new one. The new one came back but all they did was take the pickles off. Maybe it was just a bad day for the restaurant. But terrible food for the price.

Dear Michael, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We're truly sorry to hear that your dining experience fell so far below expectations, especially on your first visit. The issues you mentioned—from the quality and temperature of the food to how the burger situation was handled—are not reflective of the standards we strive to uphold. We understand how important it is for both the food and service to justify the price, and clearly, we missed the mark. Your honest comments will be shared with our culinary teams so that we can take immediate steps to address and improve. While we’re disappointed to hear you won’t be dining with us again, we do thank you for your candor. Warm regards, The Camelback Team

this place is a tourist trap. Do not expect good food or good service. The prices are outrageous for what you get. Everything is cold and tasteless. Literally the worst place in a very long time.

Food was overcooked, and for a $14 salad it was quite small. Drinks watered down but it’s a resort

We had a reservation at 6pm, got in right on time no problem. Server came to the table within 10 minutes. Took our drink orders, which came out in 5 minutes. Service was great but the food was meh. Good not great. Everything came out warm/hot. The taste was kind of bland. Would not dine here again
