The food was some of the best I’ve had in SLC!!! Loved this place so much. I will definitely be coming back!
Sunday brunch. Don’t even bother going unless you have reservations. Menu is small but good. Very small and noisy. Food and service was great.
One of the best experiences I’ve had with a group of 17 people!
Fantastic food and great atmosphere. The seating is a little close but that would be my one and only complaint.
Fairly simple food with some unusual ways of cooking. Noisy. The bar area has a couple of small tables for two and serves the same menu – might be a better option for couples.
Great food! Everyone ordered something different and we all cleaned our plates. Loved the meatloaf and sweet potatoe cubes! Just too noisy for conversation.
Amazing as usual. Always a comfort treat!
Fresh food, great cocktails.
Excellent Farm to table update take on American traditional dishes Fried Chicken, Shot Ribs, Pork Chop all outstanding. Grits, Mashed Potatoes and salads all special. Service on the ball with an excellent handle on what the chef has in store .
Traditions brunch is maybe the best in the city. The braised pork and grits is outstanding!
There is no parking! No place to stand and wait for a table to open. I wanted the salad and was told it’s no longer on the menu. I reserved a table for 5 for Saturday brunch and the table was ready. The service was good.
Fun spot with an interesting menu - extremely loud however. Also, beet salad was delicious, but quite small for an entree.
I have loved this place since it opened but this visit it was so loud you couldn’t visit with friends, and the waitress pushed us through and picked up our plates before you were even finished. Really to bad.
This eatery continues to impress. The menu is relatively safe, not surprising given its characterization as a comfort food restaurant. Having said that, the simple steak entree is a bit too simple and could be more tastily or creatively prepared. Broadly, the menu could benefit from some periodic updates, perhaps only a couple of items at a time. Regardless, the service is excellent and delicious side dishes and brunch items are a sign of a complete culinary success.
This was my first time at this restaurant. I had the cauliflower appetizer and the beet salad. They were both delicious. I enjoyed the wine choices as well. The baby arugula was perfect - sometimes arugula can be too bitter for my taste, but this was just right. I have already recommended the restaurant.
Nice boutique cozy atmosphere, very good and eclectic menu, very tasty food, and very personable server. Overall, very good, definitely recommend. It's a little pricey, though, for what you get, which is why I gave it 4 stars rather than 5.
We had a wonderful dinner with friends. I love the down home comfort food. The small plates are different and tasty.
Best meal I’ve had in SLC in very long time! Wow! You won’t be disappointed!
This restaurant is pretty aptly named. Now I want to make coming here for Sunday brunch a tradition! Everything I have tried has been stellar! The food is TDF, and the cocktails are dangerously delicious.
We have always been very well taken care of by the staff as well!
The restaurant is well designed, and though I haven't been able to go during the Summer yet, they look to have a wonderful patio.
I highly recommend the Hops'n'scotch and the Gentleman and a Scholar cocktails, and for food, make sure not to miss the grits and cauliflower!
Amazing food! Will definitely be back. A few of the menu items were sold out that we wanted to try that was the only bummer. Other than that excellent food and service.
Outstanding food and cocktails, excellent and friendly service.
We went to Tradition for a birthday gathering. The funeral potatoes are a must! Good cocktail selection, reasonably priced appetizers, higher priced entrees.
We thoroughly enjoyed our evening with friends. The food and drinks were delicious- loved the fried chicken and the hops and cops cocktail. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. We will return. Thanks!
A little slow on service but it is such a chill place I want surprised. Portions were great for the price and the food was incredible!
This place is super cute and the food was amazing. Wow.
Prices were a bit high, but I would definitely go back. Make a reservation as the seating is limited.
We had an early 5:15 reservation and were seated in the bar area which is very quiet and comfortable. The open dining area is quite noisy so the bar is better. The server was prompt, friendly, and offered great recommendations. We ordered the brussel sprouts & cauliflower appetizers which were worth a trip there in itself. I got the steak salad which was way too salty & over seasoned. My husband got the fried chicken and he thought he died and went to heaven. I will return but might stick with the appetizers. The main menu is very meat heavy and calorie laden.
Awesome dinner, chicken and dumplings were perfect comfort food
My overall experience was fantastic, but I was lucky enough to get a table in the bar area. The noise of the children in the main area would have been intolerable otherwise.
Once seated they did take our drink order quickly. They returned a while later and took our appetizer order. Our appetizers came before our drinks and our entree order didn't get taken until after we finished our appetizers. Myself and another in our party ordered the short rib which was flavorless and dry. The carrots and broccolini tasted like all they did was drench them in oil and the mashed potatoes tasted as if they were out of a box. I had high hope, but will not be returning.
I really wanted to love this place. Everything on the menu was well thought out, creative, and had an original spin. But when our food arrived, the flavors were there, but nothing was cooked thoroughly. The fried green tomatoes were hard as an apple, even though the sauce on top was delicious. The funeral potatoes were hot throughout, but the onions and potatoes were still crunchy. We ate them anyway because we were starving. The meatloaf was tasty, but the bed of diced sweet potatoes were crunchy...not all the way cooked. And the fried chicken wasn’t raw, but the center was lukewarm.... my sister said we shouldn’t even bother trying the pie, but I was hoping to give it a chance... surely they couldn’t screw that up! But, no, they were all out. :( Our waitress was super gracious when we told her about the tomatoes and removed them from our check. But we didn’t want to make a scene when our other entrees had the same problem. We still left her a tip for great service, but they are definitely having some problems in the kitchen. Too bad, because the food has great potential. But paying $60 for uncooked food left us pretty disappointed.
Great service and comfort food. The mark up on a bottle of wine was as per usual in every Utah restaurant RIDICULOUS!! Other than that we had a great experience.
Great food, great service...This place is a gem, we loved it and will def be back!
Fantastic brunch in a bright and welcoming space- not a ton of seating but I was able to get a reservation quickly via OpenTable. Chicken and pancakes was suggested by the waitress and the perfect comfort food for a cold winter morning. Service was great - will definitely return
Tradition never disappoints. Love the selection and the freshness of the food.
The food was amazingly good. Went there off a recommendation from Sauced in the City. It was dead on. Will be back.
Excellent, creative foods and atmosphere is open and fun! Would recommend highly to everyone......
We had dinner on Friday, and I have recommended this restaurant 4+ times
Overall food and selections were good. Disappointed. In only two dessert choices.
The food here is always good. The staff was busy but still attentive.
Great food - amazing mixology cocktails - fun atmosphere !
