Very disappointed with this restaurant. We used to enjoy the food and service and always recommended to our friends, but lately after giving it a try a few more times my family may not come back. They have added so many things to avoid having to serve the steaks. They don't come out as often and probably intentionally doing it so diners will be forced to eat the cheaper food like the very greasy empanadas that don't have any flavor. If you don't want to serve all the steaks mentioned on your menu then don't advertise them. That's called cheating.

Avenida has been my very favorite place to eat for years. My last visit on Memorial Day was the first time I was ever disappointed. For starters, they replaced the Au' Gratin potatoes as a side dish with french fries, not a good substitution. But my main complaint was that for the first time ever, I had a very hard time getting served rare meat. Everything I got was medium or worse. Finally, I went to the restroom, and my lady friend, and my niece talked to the waiter and told them about it. I finally got the house special cooked rare. Then I asked for rare lamb chops, and when they finally arrived, much later, they were very well done. I didn't waste any food. I ate everything, and even though over cooked, it was tasty and good. But it fell way short of the service I was used to from my many other visits. I won't be in a hurry to go back.

We truly value your loyalty and are so sorry that we didn't deliver the rare cuts you love or the excellent service you've come to expect. We would like to clarify that though we are always trying new things, the french fries are not replacing the Au Gratin potatoes. The issues you experienced with meat doneness are not up to our standards, and we're also addressing this with our gauchos and team. We cherish guests like you and hope you'll allow us to bring back the sabor and service you remember.

We went for a lunch date and, unfortunately, they did not have any lunch specials. The protein options were good and there was a variety. Some of the steak had a lot of fat content, unrendered even on medium temp pieces, which made it harder to enjoy. Overall, an okay experience for the churrasco format.

Went for Mother’s Day and the place was full. The meat dishes were good. Never received Filet Mignon and I hope they replace the rice and potatoes with other vegetables. They were dry and cold not appetizing.

It’s unfortunate that the restaurant did not recognize the reservation that was made through OpenTable. There was at least 10 parties ahead of us when we arrived in time to check in and when asked how long it would be, they didn’t know. We left and went somewhere else- won’t return to this restaurant.

Birthday dinner was delicious. The salad bar & table service selections were amazing & enjoyed by all, even the kids ages 2, 7, & 8! My favorites (the grilled cheese w/honey & the tender cuts of steak) were plentiful & delectable! There were a couple times the servers missed some of the guests at our table, which is the only minor complaint I would have. It really was an enjoyable experience & we will be dining here again soon!
