   Food was surprisingly good - some of the better wings I've had in Philly. Service was polite, but slow and inattentive. Even for a bar it's obnoxiously loud.

   We were very excited to try this restaurant but, sadly, were hugely disappointed. The “Summer drink menu,” which was still on the table, was unavailable. We ordered the “pick two” and chose baby back ribs and brisket. While the food looked tasty, the ribs were overcooked and extremely chewy and the brisket was nothing to write home about. The stars of the evening were the mashed potatoes, corn bread, and collard greens. Thank goodness they were edible! We didn’t eat 2/3rds of the meat but didn’t even want to take it home. Overall, this was a very poor dining experience.

   Went here for date night last night and my partner and I can't say we enjoyed the food. Nothing tasted seasoned. The BBQ sauce was watery, our drinks were flat. The only thing we enjoyed about this place was the decor.

   This was the first time back since the pandemic. It was delicious and bigger portions that we remembered. Definitely a must for a nice casual date .

   We really enjoyed Sunday brunch. The food was absolutely delicious. The drinks were tasty as well. I'm a bit surprised the place wasn't busier, given the quality of food. Perhaps people wait for the changeover to the lunch/dinner menu? I gave 4 stars because the service was a bit slow- I'd give 4.5, if the system would allow. I'm not sure if our server was helping to turn-over the kitchen, but we didn't see her much. When we did, though, she was extremely friendly and helpful. We would definitely return, and want to try their regular menu items as well.

   We must not have gone on a busy nite. But I figured Sat nite 8 pm would be prime time for diners. There were 4 bartenders behind an empty bar. 3 servers but only 1 working. She was running all over the place, without any help. One of the bartenders was too busy flirting with a woman at the bar. I ordered an Old Eagle Old Fashioned. It had to be the worst drink I ever had. One sip and I returned it. Just got a bourbon straight up. Food was good. Brisket was moist and well done. Ribs were great. Shrimp could have used a lil more seasoning. All in all not bad on food. Our server never asked if we needed fresh drinks or even sauces. She kept walking by our table without ever checking in. Then she pulled out the check from her shorts in the back. The black check book was shoved in her shorts. Do I need to smell her booty while I pay for my meal? No " Thank you for coming" nothing. Just picked up the check and left. If Tardesman treats it's paying customers like this when it's dead in their resturant. I'd hate to see what's it like when busy. Not going back due to bad service.

   I made a reservation and had to stand at the front counter for 15 mins before someone even came to greet us. Then, the server didn’t even get my order right. But it was very good good and a great atmosphere.

    Really cool decor and the food was good. The brisket was small portion and I don’t usually eat a lot so not sure why such a small portion.

    If I have to give more than 5 Stars I would! The brisket was absolutely incredible! I have eaten authentic southern barbecue, and this brisket was absolutely top notch! Perfect amount of fat, salt, spice! Absolutely delicious! I I’ll be back when I visit the city again!!

    We ended up at the Tradesman because a different restaurant we had reserved with lost our reservation. And it was the best thing that could happened. We had the absolute best time! Best bachelorette party dinner!!! We will definitely be coming back!!

    Not from here and it looked like a cool place to catch up with an out-of-town friend. But I should’ve heeded the other reviews: It was SO LOUD. The “dining area” was a few tables in an alcove off the massive bar, and my friend and I were SCREAMING over the loud crowd and the music to be heard. The waitress kept asking us to repeat our orders without writing them down, then disappeared for long stretches. Our food came out five minutes after ordering, and we hadn’t even gotten our drinks yet. Granted, the food and drinks were good (my friend says hers was watered down), but don’t come here if you want to actually have a pleasant dinner and converse.

    Ended up being party of one, and it was fantastic! My server was so wonderful and recommended the Sriracha maple wings and they were amazing! The right amount of heat and the right amount of sweet! Will be coming back!

    First time at Tradesman, I wasn’t sure what to expect, however I knew I wanted barbecue. I must say the food portions were really big and the food was excellent. I will definitely be back and the collard greens were the most memorable part of the meal.

    We booked a table on open table and when we arrived there was basically a college party going on. They were checking IDs at the door and the place was packed! The floor was sticky with beer and there piles of beer cans everywhere. The music was blaring and it was really unpleasant. We didn’t realize that this was college bar when we made the reservation otherwise we would have found somewhere else to eat. Just wish we had a heads up before we got there. We ended up finding somewhere else to go once we saw what was going on.

    It took awhile for someone to come over and get our drink order and when we told the waitress we were ready to order after she took our drink order, she just walked away, I’ll just say maybe she didn’t hear me through the loud noise. The food was horrible, we actually left it on the the table and paid our bill that was $86, yes we paid $86.00 for food that we did not and could not eat, I definitely would not recommend this place to anyone, unless they like tasteless barbecue and young wait staff that just walks around huddling with their coworkers.

    FOOD -- Very tasty, well prepared, delicious, our party was very pleased SERVICE -- Top notch. Our wait staff was very helpful and accommodating to us geezers AMBIENCE -- Well, that place is too noisy for me. A food event is a social gathering and it was just too loud to have a meaningful conversation. Glad my hearing it starting to fail as it will help in the future. DOWNSIDE -- QR codes. Guess what. Not everyone has upgraded to your fancy schmancy high tech menus. This alone might cause me to cut your place off any of my future dining plans. Please give us oldies a break. On the good side, you are still accepting cash. Thank the gods for small favors.

    We made a reservation but it seemed like it was overlooked as they had a difficult time finding a table for us. Once seated the rest of the experience was favorable. Food was great- chicken was amazingly tender and an array of BBQ sauces were provided. I would visit Trademan's again - great food, fun atmosphere and close to the theaters on Broad Street.

    I checked out Trademan's because I was in Center City for an event! I don't get to Center City too often these days (Apocalyptic Pandemic Reasons..Lol) so I wanted to get a place with a varied menu! The menu features BBQ items and a robust beer/draft menu! Me smoked wings and a burger! The food was Meh ...the beer menu and service is why we gave it the extra star! Our server was fantastic! The space is wide open and I appreciate openness! Would I return..Yes..Happy Hour for sure!
