A Trabocco is a unique fishing pier found along the Adriatic coast of Abruzzo. Architect and Designer Lev Weisbach of Weisbach Architecture|Design was inspired by the beautiful Trabocchi of Abruzzo when he created his spectacular design. With its reclaimed wood ceilings, dramatic copper encased fireplace, and modern bar Trabocco is warm and welcoming yet strikingly dramatic and modern.
It was all wonderful as usual!
Oscar our waiter was wonderful. So was the other gentleman that assisted. They were both wonderful and provided great Customer service. Food was great as usual. Ne and my friends have been their often for our birthdays. The head chef always personally bring out a complimentary birthday dessert on a large plate decorated with the words happy birthday in chocolate sauce. Very special.
Everyone from the reception the waiters provide
They all make you feel like
This is where you ought to be
We love this place
Per usual, fantastic margarita pizza, Imposter wine and beet salad! This is our go-to place for pizza!
Greatest restaurant in the East Bay. The Chef personally comes out and signs happy birthday to the birthday person. That’s an amazing testament to their service. I’ve had everything on their menu at least one. Love it here.
Don't let the fact that Trabocco is located in a shopping mall fool you. In fact it's a plus as parking is free and close by. The restaurant has both indoor and covered outdoor seating. The food is excellent and creative. Many items benefit from the wood burning oven. Seafood and pastas are their specialty but you can always find meats, pizzas even the occasional rabbit dish. Oh, and they have excellent cocktails.
The food was delicious and the service was fantastic! Great spot for a romantic date night.
Excellent ambiance. Excellent food. Excellent service. Excellent drinks. We celebrated a a birthday, and the chef came out to sing Happy Birthday, in an opera voice.
The food is excellent and very fresh, the staff is welcoming and the service is quick and efficient I enjoy dining in the patio area
Had a wonderful meal. The food was excellent. There was a great buzz about the place. The waiting staff were very attentive, friendly and cheerful.
Our server had just finished telling us what the specials are for the evening. The moment we started to order items off the regular menu, his demeanor COMPLETELY changed. In fact, when he came over with our bill, he did not even say thank you. We have dined at your restaurant many times and good service is what we expected.
Great authentic Italian food - Can't go wrong with any dish.
Top Italian restaurant in Alameda. Chic, upscale ambiance, excellent service, great food, Chef/Owner greets his diners like old friends, indoor and outdoor seating. We always get the grilled octopus appetizer.
Wait service for basics like water and bread was slow. Food was excellent.
My dish (pesce ) seemed very lackluster compared to what I’ve seen others get previously. The scallops were few and extremely small. For $30, I don’t feel it was a good value.
Trabocco is an excellent restaurant. The wait staff are friendly and professional. The food and presentation are outstanding. In addition to the regular menu they have offer several daily specials. Trabocco is one our favorite restaurants. They make everyone feel welcome!
This restaurant feels like hometown, the Chef and owner makes a point to come by the table and thank you and ask you what’s good, what you drink and shares his favorites as well! They always make a special occasion desert with a note of love on the plate!
We celebrate our Moms 80th birthday and her retirement here. There were 5 of us!
If you want to sit outside reserve it!
Delightful and delicious lunch on the patio with terrific service and a friendly welcome from the front of the house, our server, and Giovanni, the owner and chef.
Trabocco continues to be our "go to" place in Alameda for special occasions. We enjoyed a wonderful birthday dinner. The Corvino Sea Bass was well prepared and served with a light sauce of mushrooms and asparagus and soft polenta. Chef is welcoming and engaging with every guest..
The staff was friendly and accommodating. I indicated this was a birthday and the chef came out with a surprise tiramisu on the house. Loved it.
Overall it was a good meal, but it didn’t live up to the * reviews or anticipation of it.
We’ve been twice before, once was terrific and the second definitely disappointing.
Perhaps our tastebuds have seen better days but none of our party of three were wowed . Are we beyond being wowable? I don’t think so.
Food and service outstanding! Tables for two too close together. Heard all of conversation of couple next to us because we were so close together.
We love this place, and are always excited to come back. Amazingly tasty food, excellent service, some of the friendliest staff we've ever encountered. This has quickly become a special place for us on date nights (and lunches!)
The place has a very nice feel to it, but does get a bit too loud for my taste. Service was excellent and food was good, but not over the top. It was a birthday dinner and the unexpected treat of tiramisu was most appreciated. The chef actually came out to sing happy birthday.
My friend and I were very happy we picked Trabocco for dinner. We sat in a very comfy booth. Our server was terrific. The salmon hit the spot.
Overall food was great. Porcheta was delicious, grilled fish moist, chicken juicy. The roasted vegetables
needed more time, and more salt. Finishing salt would enhance flavors more. Service was very good, we had a great evening.
Delicious food as always. Service was wonderful and everyone was is so nice.
Although we frequent this restaurant often, we could not be happier with our recent visit to celebrate our anniversary. It a local favorite that does not disappoint. The food was prepared perfectly. We enjoyed calamari, the seafood risotto special, side spinach and my all time favorite the Piattro del a Trabocco (a dish filled with seared shrimp, scallops, calamari, tomato’s, on a bed of cannelinni beans and sautéed spinach). We finished our meal with their fabulous tiramisu which was served on a huge platter wishing us a happy Anniversary. The service was excellent with special attention by owner Giuseppe who made sure our experience was perfect and made us feel like valued guests! We love that they are ‘just around the corner! Our thanks for bringing this fine Italian cuisine to our neighborhood!
We come annually for our anniversary ( as well as for casual meals at other times)..... Gueiseppe and staff are always welcoming and striving to make Trabocco “the best”!
What a treat to be able to have a family celebration at a lovely restaurant where everyone's tastes can be accommodated. We appreciated the well selected and well prepared kid's menu that kept our son happy while the grownups were able to enjoy sophisticated menu selections. Our server was welcoming and we were never rushed during our meal. We'd definitely go back.
This was my 3rd time at Trabocco and they were just as good as my first time. They are consistently great in their food preparation and service. It was my birthday and the chef brought out the dessert and sang happy birthday. It was an awesome experience and of course, I will be returning!
Maybe one of the best meals ever! We always have a great experience at Trabocco.
We brought our cousin in from Boston for her first time, and she loved it too. Each of us had items that are on the regular menu, butternut squash, chicken, eggplant pasta. And everything was delicious. And of course Giuseppe comes around to each table and makes the evening that much more special by doing so.
Great seafood pasta dish. Beautiful salads and yummy desserts
One of the best Italian restaurants we’ve been to-outstanding!
Great service from Marshall, whom we’ve had before. We enjoyed a nice bottle of wine, shared a caprese salad, and really liked our entrees (prime rib, salmon). Giuseppe (owner) provided tiramisu for desert for our anniversary. A wonderful dinner!
Trabocco has been one of my go to Italian restaurants....took my friend there for birthday...I was disappointed with the price increases....Polpo (octpus), small plate, octopus cut in small pieces, potatoes overcooked and dry...and all for $18!..Calamari Fritti came with a tomato sauce that just didn't fit with the dish itself, and just for $19!! When Trabocco first opened, was delightful and affordable....guess Giuseppe has hit IT!! Don't think I'll go back unless I win the lottery.
I love the food and ambiance here it reminds me of vacations to Italy.
The staff is very friendly and animated. They really seem to care about their guests. The food in interesting and imaginative. The drinks are very good. The only complaint was the lighting was too low for me personally. Perhaps they could have a candle on the tables. Overall this was a great experience and will return many more times.
