Ca ne s'appelle plus Le 40north c'est Le Town maintenant.
The food was good but the restaurant was cold - after asking twice they raised the heat. We were the only table of 2 and there were 6 men seated at the bar. The hostess and female bartender were very preoccupied with these guests. We felt like we were in a sports bar not a restaurant.
Best restaurant "up-nort".
The perfect balance between coziness of the country and the modernness of the city.
Perfect for all occasions and the food was simply amazing.
New Year's Eve as a family
Great ambience and food
Would defend hotels return
Delicious filet mignon...duck. superb wine. Great service. Very cool vibe with young people at bar apres ski..and families large and small.
Excellent service (Mario waiter), Excellent food (beef tartar is so delicious).
The main course that I ordered wasn't serve the way it usualy is. The sauce was different, very thick so made my pasta very heavy and dry. It was a Tuesday night was the real chef there ?
We were very satisfied with this new restaurant and we surely will come back again!
I don't know where to start! The newest restaurant in Sauveur and it wasn't a disappointment. Today wasn't the first time I've been here but I decided to write up a little review to give my 2 cents! The ambiance is relaxed and the new decor is very bright. My first expirience was excellent, I always start my night with oysters and they absolutely didn't disappoint. They tasted fresh and smelt like the sea. I came with my girlfriend and she had the Tuna Tataki which was absolutely to die for! A must try for any tuna fan! Service was very good, they had a packed house and the server stayed calm and was very professional and had a great character. I also had the veal Marsala which had to be in the top 3 I've ever had!
Overal was a great expirience and would highly recommend to anyone, from any age!
What a place to be! Weekends have a good bar crowd if you're into that scene, if not, they offer a more quiet upstairs with beautiful views of the mountains and down the street! Service was excellent and the food was even better.
Wines seemed to be a bit pricey but I'm pretty sure they've been lowered since. At the same time, you get for what you pay for. Where else are you going to eat on beautiful white linen tablecloths for that price, not to mention, wipe your hands with linen clothes in the bathrooms.
All in all, a definite stop if you're visiting from the city like I was! I'd be a regular for sure if I lived closer.
Oysters not fresh, returned, yet charged. Glasses of poir quality byt was improved after we complained.
We have been regulars at 40 Northh so we cannot avoid comparisons.
We had to accept a late reservation of 8:30 (for 6) - later than we would have liked.
When we arrived they started to take us up the stairs-as they were packed. I never thought of the upstairs as it's never been an issue. Unfortunately I can't climb stairs. So we had to wait in the bar for about 40 minutes. Didn't get out until 11:30 which was very late. Food was generally excellent and rib steaks were superior. Lobster Ravioli was disappointing. Overall we were very happy with food quality. Whitewashed new interior was clearly inferior to previous club-like décor, which was cozier. Definitely missed some of our old menu favorites.
Service was lousy. Waiter served 1 appetizer at the same time as the already late main courses. Said he made a mistake-forgot to order it-he should have checked before delivering it with the meals. At 40 Northh the waiters were impeccable in demeanor and attire. Our waiter was slovenly at best.
Thought it strange that we couldn't transfer our bar bill to our main bill. Perhaps it's a matter of tip distribution. We had already had our drinks before arriving, so our forced sojourn in the bar was construed as even more awkward (they were short a couple of barstools.)
Hope they get their act together as we intend to return, perhaps for lunch, which was always great at 40 Northh.
Qualité And thé variété of thé foot is excellent .the service was good but the noise level was too high
Gréât spot In St sauveur to see the crowd
The Wine list is too high
Some of the Wine are 3 Times the saq cost
One of the reasons that forty North has Closed
