We had a great time and a great meal, adequate ventilation and a super friendly professional waitress Corina
Nice outdoor dining with great service and food. Burger was great and the fries were out of this world!
Great outdoor space. Menu hasn’t varied much since restaurant opened. Service very attentive. Food quality excellent.
Love the Tavern. Neighborhood gem; great food, lovely staff, always a pleasure to dine there🥰
Delicious and efficient
All our food choice were very good.
Fish and chips yummy and the beef
Sandwich was delicious… yummy
Met in laws for their anniversary
Loved mass ave potstickers and the soup special: mushroom miso. Crispy salmon wonderful. Moved inside because of bothersome yellow jacket that also came inside, our choice to sit by nice big open windows by sidewalk. Did not get stung but nervous - summery day side effect, not restaurant fault. Nice to have outdoor/fresh air seating option for covid
Overall okay dining experience. The staff was very good; the food was decent enough, but nothing special; and most surprising at a "tavern" were the costs of the drafts: $10 for a 16oz Jack's Abby, $11 for a Night Shift, and $12 for a Lord Hobo??
Excellent food. Lovely weather. Friendly service. The penne pasta with chicken was exquisite.
Very helpful and respectful staff. Food is amazing, service is outstanding.
Needed to find a restaurant in the area for a group of friends going to a show at the Regent Theater. The Town Tavern pleased everyone’s palate with some twists and enhancements to some traditional”pub” food. Delicious!
Service was good and prompt and value right on. Some great cocktails too!
Overall great. Service was a bit inattentive given how few people there were. No big deal but be mindful if you’re on a schedule!
Town Tavern is always reliable, always good. And with the windows open, very comfortable.
Our favorite place. ood is always excellent. Table was ready for us with coloring items for the kids. Service is always friendly and attentive without ever being bothersome.
Food is great. Server was pleasant. Outdoor dining is at the corner of Mass Ave and Lake St, so we had a parade of garbage trucks and other noisy, smelly things starting up at the light there.
Indoor has big front windows, so there is a well-ventilated option there until it gets cold.
This place is a keeper. I hope they do well and stay!
Great ambience, terrific staff. Love the outdoor seating and weekend live music. Food is okay but not amazing. Interesting mix of typical pub food and some Asian fusion.
Service was friendly but a bit slow
Warm where we were sitting
Dinner was good but not outstanding. Usual pub fare. Service was good however. Waitress worked hard to make sure we were happy with table and extras.
The service by Carina (?) was wonderful. All three of us enjoyed our dinners on a quiet Tuesday evening in the Tavern. The Indaba Merlot was a good, moderately-priced wine. We were seated near the windows and watched the thunderous rain fall and then the skies clear - lovely.
Excellent lunch on the fourth of July. The meals were delicious, attention to detail perfect. Waitress friendly and attentive. Wish you had one in Hopkinton, Mass.!!
They didn't have my reservation for 4 people outside in their records so had to sit inside instead.
For a restaurant we can walk to, it is fine. The beer selection is small, but from good breweries. I wish there were bigger IPAs, but I am not in the majority. The wine options are good. Vegetarian options are routine - salads, bean burger. One of our dishes of the 4 was excellent - chicken bao, the others were fine. It was busy when we were there so our server was in demand and forgot a couple of things, nice fellow. We will go there again because it is so close. Thye kids' menu, which we did not use, looked like a good one. The restaurant is very friendly to families.
Our food was very good and our waitress was excellent.
We lingered for several hours out on their sidewalk patio under an umbrella. Our lunch was delicious and the staff wonderful.
So glad this is my neighborhood restaurant! Everything I have had over the past several years has been so good: salmon tatsoi, their take on the Reuben sandwich, the fish sandwich, chicken bao, salad with steak added, and always their fries. Always good service, too. Nice to know their take-home containers are not plastic, too, but compostable.
We had a great time last night at Town Tavern. It was so nice outside and both the service and food were great. She did very well handling everything with a smile and light chitchat. Made it enjoyable. So happy to see them busy.
Delicious burgers and fast service. Atmosphere is relaxed.
Great neighborhood spot, perfect casual adult dinner or out-to-eat with kids.
Our server was wonderful… a very efficient attentive young lady. Foid was perfect for a fairly quick meal before a show… will definitely go back with my friends
Great pub food, freshly prepared. In the evening, Town Tavern is a great place for dinner (try the chicken paneed - it is delightful from the first bite to the last). This time I took my mom for brunch and we ate outside on the sidewalk. The service is thoughtful and kind.
Having lunch outside was great! Wonderful food and service!
First time visit, and it won't be our last. I had the crispy chicken sandwich, which is now the rage just about everywhere. I'm telling you, this sandwich, with crispy, tender and moist chicken breast, served with an amazing mornay cheese sauce, is by far the best I have ever had anywhere. Even the fries were excellent, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. This sets the new standard for crispy chicken sandwiches. Very friendly service staff, even the manager came over and chatted for awhile. It is an unpretentious, neighborhood style eatery, nothing fancy. But man, that chicken sandwich!
Service was great. Food was outstanding!
Everything was just OK. Nothing wrong, although the music was too loud and made it hard to hear our conversation. The house salads we both got were underdressed, and you could tell the lettuce etc...were washed but still had too much water left in them which diluted the dressing to the point there was little flavor. For entrees, my wife had the Tavern Burger which she liked and which was cooked very well. Her fries were also good. My sirloin was cooked well also, but the meat was very tough and chewy. I don’t expect much from a sirloin, and was wishing they offered another cut like a strip. I had heard they offer sirloin to keep prices low, but it would be nice to have another option. The broccolini was fine also. So three stars overall. We would go back, but not in a rush to get back there.
Our server was the best! We had a very loud group come in next to us and she moved us before we even asked to.
Loved the food and the service was excellent. A great place for the first restaurant I've been to in 14 months.
Food was good, service was excellent, and everything was great.
Great spot!!! Server could have checked drink levels more often.
