Town is consistently great, with professionals from the front door onwards. 1400 degree stove makes steaks incredible. One of our favorite places to eat.
Had a great time, food and service were excellent. Look forward to going back .
Great service as always, and they worked hard to accommodate me even though I mistakenly reserved the wrong date!
Love Town and come often...Had dinner on Monday 3/19. Things seemed off. Maybe the A team in the kitchen had the night off. That being said I have reservations for tonight
Our families favorite spot !!!
Town, you never disappoint! From the special menu with the birthday boy's birthdate, to the quality servers (Lorenzo, I'm talking about you), to the amazing food, we always walk away way too full and completely satisfied. You are a classy place and show us a good time. We will return again and again. Thank you!
Always happy. Delicious and hearty.
This place continually delivers an excellent experience. Great food, imaginative cocktails and spot-on service. Always look forward to going and can’t wait to go back. I feel lucky to get a reservation.
What a treat to have lunch at Town! Friendly, professional wait staff, delicious food and a piece of out-of-this world bread pudding for our birthday outing. Perfect in every way.
Town always delivers! Interesting menu. I forget the name of my dish, it was ground sirloin with
eggs and rice and very good.
Very nice server but food was average or below average. I ordered sauteed green beans as a side and they were not sauteed in the least, had been boiled and then salted. They were worse than a hospital cafeteria's green beans - not sure how a place like this could serve something so bland and expect to get away with it. I live in Oakland and perhaps the restaurant scene there is just so much more vibrant and the kitchens attentive to things like TASTE. Won't be back. Over $100 for 2 of us for brunch.
Looking for a memorable brunch? Don’t hesitate, book at Town and enjoy every bite!
Why do you morons keep e-mailing me about dining at Town Resturant in San Carlos. I am
not Stephanie Vedder. Put your little brains together and see if you can cirrect this problem.
Good food, nice atmosphere. Would go back
My favorite place ever!! Only suggestion they need a bigger restaurant so I can visit more - always booked! Seabass rated an 11
I’m not often in San Carlos, but when I am, lunch or dinner at the Town is very good eats.
Great place to spend a birthday dinner
I live in San Carlos and have gone to this restaurant many times. This last visit was the first time I had to wait for my reservation. When I asked if we could sit outside, they said that was only for the waitlist. I said, well about my reservation? They said no. I thought that didn't make sense. They are making my party wait, but won't sit us outside. I was disappointed.
If you're a big foodie your expectations of this place will be higher than the actual quality. We had the ribeye steak the Teriyaki steak the barbecue shrimp and the bread pudding. Everything was better-than-average however nothing blew us away. The steaks were cooked just right however the meat was lackluster in quality. They wet age their steaks for 10 days according to the waiter. The other point was the barbecue shrimp in which was good if you've never had true New Orleans BBQ shrimp. It is not the same and it was okay. The shrimp themselves were very high quality. The Teriyaki steaks marinade was nothing special in tasted like somebody slaughtered it with teriyaki sauce from the grocery counter and let it sit there for 8 hours. For a $38 steak I would have expected more innovation with the flavor
Excellent service for a belated Valentine's Day dinner. Special attention, had to wait with reservation, but they MORE than made up for it, which wasn't necessary. They know how to treat customers so they return! Our favorite place to dine!
Upscale sports bar with a focus on nicely-cooked "corn-fed" (as if it's something to be proud of??) steaks, interesting cocktails, and your choice of sides. TVs are visible from the whole restaurant; there's even a TV (tuned to ESPN) in the men's restroom.
Great food, excellent service, will definitely be back.
A friend and I celebrated my birthday over lunch. It is our favorite restaurant.
Our waitress was fabulous - Receipt says her name is Luanna. We truly enjoyed and appreciated her.
Food good. Expensive.
Town never disappoints. I have been dining at Town for years now. It is always my "go to" restaurant for anything from a surprised birthday party (private room upstairs) to meeting a co-worker for a lunch meeting.
Family night out. Sat down for awhile without getting service, and main course took a long time despite getting appetizers. Service was very good and pleasant once engaged.
Way too expensive to match mediocre quality food. Don’t even serve bread. Steak was meh.
Fun place with TVs, good ambiance. Far better options in San Carlos area.
This is currently my favorite restaurant. Food is always amazing! Service is always excellent. I am always excited to have a meal here and I’m never disappointed. Sunday brunch is amazing!
The food was sooo tasty, however the service was lacking. I went in for my anniversary, and specified on OpenTable that it was a special occasion, yet the waitress we had was rushing us a lot. Plates were taken off of our table very abruptly, and the waitress did not act like she really valued us as customers, especially on our special day together. Nevertheless, the Town Steak was delicious and we will be back for sure! If their customer service skills improve, this restaurant would be perfect.
Waiter was great. Food is heavy but good if that is what you are looking for. Expensive so only for special occasions but always busy in there.
I try to eat at Town at least once a month and I am never disappointed! Food amazing, service exceptional and ambience couldn’t be better! Town is by far my favorite restaurant!
Hopping Friday night crowd makes this a vibrant spot to have a group dinner. Might be more difficult for a couples romantic night out unless you can carve out a space in the back area near the wine vault. Known for great steaks, the wine list is strictly California and the West Coast. I still wish for modern wines from Spain, Portugal as well as classics from the rest of Europe. Service was a bit rushed and it felt rushed, maybe because of the Friday crowds. But isn't that the idea of a restaurant? To be relaxed and to be restored? We were seated late and the kitchen and the front of the house staff brought some Amuse Bouche to say "sorry", so that was a nice touch.
Our first visit to Town. Will definitely return. One of the best celebrations and meals ever. Service was the way all restaurants could take a lesson from!
We an't wait to return.
Great food great place
Exemplary management and service - fantastic food - great wine list - always satisfied!
I injured my arm a few weeks back. My waitress was extremely kind and had the kitchen cut my steak since I couldn’t use my arm. It’s small things like that, which make Town a great place to dine.
Enjoyed a wonderful brunch with an old friend visiting from Portland. Can't ever remember being disappointed with a meal at Town, and this time was the same. Great food, great service, lovely time.
Restaurant went above and beyond to make our celebration special! Made to a delightful day. Thank you.
Usually, Town has great food, but I feel like it’s gone downhill recently. The last couple times we’ve had Town meals, they’ve been disappointing. Hopefully, it gets better, again :) o
