Town Ratings and Reviews
Recently enjoyed dinner in your restaurant with friends that I hadn’t seen in over a year. We met at TOWN and we were all enthralled by the atmosphere, the service, the cocktails, the menu options and of course the food!!!! Everything was AMAZING!!! They somehow balance all of that by getting you your food on time without making you feeled rushed. I would highly recommend and will definitely return.
Early mid-week business dinner (6pm) and was seated immediately. Attentive staff at this time; noticed the bar area was pretty full but no one seemed to be waiting. Had the Scottish Salmon from their Broiled Fresh Fish selection — salmon cooked simply and served on a salad of kale, arugula, pear and such. Lovely. They didn’t overload the salad with the vinegrette as too many places will do — well balanced.
Always enjoy the atmosphere and what TOWN offers comparable to other restaurants in the area....lively, but always dependable whether with my children, my girlfriends, my husband, a friend in town or just a nice afternoon with my Mom.
Our server this time, wish I'd gotten her name, was the best that I've had there in a long time and definitely was of the best, attention-wise in the bay area!!
She's why I would give you guys 5 stars! She deserves a shout out and encouragement to continue to do a great job, a job that most other servers take for granted in the bay area. I will get her name the next time; She worked the patio last Monday, November 27th during a late lunch; 2 pm-ish. We will be back!
The service was great and food was prepared to expectations. The restaurant is large and seem fitting for groups of various sizes and occasions.
A lot of their meals has an Asian fusion touch to them. I ordered the filet mignon and it was cooked just right.
Lastly, they have the most delicious bread pudding!
We showed up early and were asked to sit at bar, have a drink.... they forgot about us until we asked. Then when sested were forgotten again until we asked. Once the meal started it was fine and had the great brown sugar bacon (not to be missed). When the bill came the manager told us it was on the house. Now that is class!!!! We will be back!!
This was my second time here.we loved it so much the first time we had to come back for a second time!! Unfortunately the service left much to be desired! The server was somber, slow in taking our orders & did not engage or ask if we were celebrating anything, we celebrated 2 birthdays that day. The server did not give her name though she was prompt to fill our endless mimosas. Still loved the mimosas for brunch & the delicious bread pudding! The chicken & waffles were not the same as we remembered last time we were there but we all enjoyed our lunch.
The Halibut tostadas as appetizers are our favorite. The New recipe for their Sea bass was light and delicious. My husband ordered their famous skirt steak which was well-done instead of medium rare. They immediately took care of it and brought him a new one. Service is impeccable! It is our favorite restaurant in San Carlos.
