Well, this was a major disappointment to be sure. Staying at the Inn is great, but the brunch was absolutely poor. Where to begin. First, and foremost, poor service here. I blame management for lack of training.
Only one pot of coffee served. French press good, but needed to do it myself. No further coffee served. All food was auctioned off at the table ( really it was just two people)!
The tower of appetizers was nice, along with breakfast pastries. A special Scallop dish ( an additional charge showed signs of talent in the kitchen. Watermelon salad was chopped up and not a great presentation.
Over easy eggs were cold, along with burnt cold potatoes. The Pork Sausage with Fennel was more of a Kielbasa. Toast cold also. Pancakes arrived two minutes after I had been served by another server. Very little Maple syrup. No excuse when only about 10 people in the dining room and a few on the patio.
Dessert selection was just okay.
Although the Inn is a great place to stay, we would y not recommend the brunch. A $150.00 ( without champagne) merits dining somewhere else. How sad for such a nice place.
The tower of appetizers were varied and tasty. The first course selections a contrast in colors, textures and flavors with a high recommendation for the watermelon salad. Main entrees provided a mix of breakfast and lunch choices. A more genteel opportunity to enjoy brunch!
We were celebrating a special occasion and this was just the perfect place and unexpected! It was wonderful, great service, excellent food……we had brunch and the courses were well paced to allow time to enjoy each! Highly recommend!
It is always a pleasure to dine at Town Meeting. Quiet, elegant surroundings, excellent and inventive cocktails, farm fresh local ingredients. What's not to like?
Dipendre was extremely helpful and provided a wonderful experience.
Outstanding meal and service. I had tenderloin steak with a most delicious sauce and my husband ordered pork loin. Absolutely loved it.
We enjoyed our meal at Town Meeting. All of the dishes were well prepared and the service was wonderful. When we arrived the AC was blowing on our table and it was cold. I mentioned it to the person who sat us and it was immediately adjusted. Waitstaff was attentive and friendly. The dining room is pretty but needs a little bit of warming up I think - especially in the summer months. Probably cozier in the winter with the fireplace.
We thought we would try their brunch but, based on our experience today, we won't be back. There are 4 courses, two of which involve hot food. Both of these were served before we had finished eating the previous course. To be clear, we were literally still eating and not just waiting for the table to be cleared. No apology from our server. And with only 6 tables occupied and 3 wait staff (plus bus boys) staffing wasn't an issue.
A delicious meal in a beautiful dining room with excellent service.
Delicious meal with wonderful service on the lovely porch. Excellent gimlet, and the halibut was fantastic. Will be back again soon. So fortunate to have this gem in our town.
I am glad it is back. It is one of my favorite lunch spot. Good service, good food, and good location. Maybe a little pricy but I guess you get what you pay for.
Perfect for a birthday celebration
This was our first time. The food was very good and the seating on the front porch was very nice. The service was good but slow (staff shortage!?). We will repeat.
What’s not to love- Outside dining on a wrap-around porch at an historical inn. Friendly service, a chef who knows fine food that isn’t fussy, and a menu with a little something for everyone’s palate. The lobster fritter was fun, the burger was one of the best we’ve had, classic and fries were perfect. (and we’ve been tasting burgers around the country for years). Leg of lamb was the special and it was perfectly cooked to my liking, with cauliflower purée and pieces, grilled onion and a salsa verse on side. Again the theme is excellent food without trying so hard and overdoing it, simple and delicious. Great to have this gem in our neighborhood.
Traveling through Lexington - this was a gem to find for a quick lunch. Quaint building near the historic monument of the first bullet in the Civil War. The salmon was fantastic and my son's burger and fries were good as well. Large portions for lunch but extremely tasty. The servers were professional and good timing. Tables spread apart for a good dining experience.
AMBIANCE WAS GREAT
SERVICE VERY GOOD
FOOD WAS FINE NOT GREAT
Highlight of our visit. Fantastic food and great service!!
Wonderful food wonderful service and overall fantastic experience
Absolutely wonderful!! Our wedding celebration was an incredible experience with attentive, warm and courteous servers. The food was delicious and the ambiance was perfect. Thank you so much for making our evening so special!!
We had the lobster fritter appetizer and risotto with lobster.
Also the espresso ice cream.
All were outstanding. Highly recommended .
One of our favorite restaurants when we go to New England.
The service was great and they had my partners dietary restrictions on their computer. The chef was most accommodating in making him a special plate. Cornelia was our wait person and was absolutely lovely and efficient. It was a lovely evening!
Always a great place to go!!
Over this little gem! Food was excellent, service great and they were happy to design our cocktails.
Elegant place Great Service and Very well prepared food
Best brunch ever. Highly recommend
Food , and service were top notch
Eating on the porch of this historic home, converted to bed and breakfast, was delightful. The food was excellent and the server was attentive and warm.
We were limited to 90 minutes of which I was not informed until we arrived. If I had known ahead of time, I probably would have selected another establishment. The waitress seemed irritated that we did not decide what we were ordering quickly enough. However, with that said, both the atmosphere and food were very good.
Very limited menu (6 items) and they had run out of one of them.
We sat outside at a beautiful table. Service was wonderful and food was fabulous as always. Felt very safe with Covid restrictions.
It was good food, great ambience, and great service
Great service and lovely experience overall will definitely be coming back!
Incredible food, great cocktails, overall really high quality place!
The Saturday and Sunday brunch is wonderful. They have figured out how to make it fun by offering a 3-level tower of tidbits: fruit, cheese & charcuterie, then shrimp and oysters on the half shell on the bottom. Then you choose a first course and then a main entree--egg-related--and then to top it off (ooof) is a plate of tasty sweet cookies and pastries. A glass of champagne works too. A bit pricey at $60 but worth every penny. It's a lot of food too, and such high quality food. Service was very friendly and excellent. We will go again.
Judy was our waitress for lunch. She was wonderful and the Service was great!
This weekend was really great! Our stay and dining experiences were fantastic! Thank you to the team.
Food was impeccable, as usual. The Sunday brunch never disappoints! Love this place!
My friend and I could not believe how great that Sunday Brunch was including our waiter !!Everything was spectacular the food presentation and the food itself was soooooooo good ! I thought about the whole meal all afternoon after I got home. Salmon was cooked to perfection and the cobb salad was unique and delicious . We were so happy to have had such a wonderful dining experience . Thank You so much for doing such great work everyone should get credit for doing such a great job !!
We will be back !!!!
Great food and service!
With only a few tables service should have been very attentive and was not. Waitress never asked if we wanted more drinks after the first glass of wine, didn’t offer dessert so we had to inquire, and when one meal was over cooked did not handle the situation well. The appetizers were very good but the over cooked burger pulled my rating down.
Limited menu but great experience
