The restaurant and food was wonderful as usual. We had a selection of softshell crab ,deviled eggs with oysters, scallops, steak, halibut, pound cake, peacan pie, and ice cream.
Excellent service. Jennifer was our server. Stephanie stopped to greet and welcome us back. We are from Ohio but stop here every time we are in the area. Food was outstanding and we had a great time. Kudos to all!
Very nice upscale dining. Not family friendly mainly an adult scene. Food was good. Would go again.
We were simply passing through Florence and feel lucky to have found The Town Hall. Definitely worth the time it took getting there from I-95. We'll return the next time we're traveling through.
Special opening for Mother’s Day brunch. Fabulous food, service, and ambience. A gold standard for Florence. We love this restaurant!
Out to dinner (my third visit) for my birthday with my family. My fairly adventurous 14-year-old sons found plenty to like on the menu. I enjoyed a quality cocktail before getting good advice from our server on the wine list. Food was correct, well-paced and delicious.
Service was on point, not in-my-face.
Pricey for me, but worth every penny.
I’ll be back.
This was our second time dining here and it was wonderful both times. Great food, drinks and service. Love dining here when we are near Florence.
Short ribs are fabulous and the hand pies are amazing!!!
Our food was fantastic!
Town Hall is a farm-to-table affair which my wife and myself favor these days. The food just tastes fresher and the chefs take advantage of subtleties of flavor. They have an extensive wine list with many reasonably priced options. The ambience is trendy downtown which at least means you can dress casually; the place is not exactly quiet but we could hear each other across the table without shouting. We would not need any encouragement to eat here again.
I can not say enough positives about Town Hall . Terrel,Jennifer, Lauren all fantastic. You HAVE TO HAVETHEDEVILED EGGS!!! This is a must do period the food is fantastic
The meal was outstanding! Local product made amazing! We sat at the chefs table- easier to talk. Awesome waitress!!! Only change we’d love if the chef table chairs were higher- awkward level for eating. But love to watch the staff- they are incredible!!!
Our server was great but the bourbon cocktail I got was watered down. We waited 40 minutes on our food. we ordered the seared fish with asparagus, kale and potatoes. When it arrived, we could find no asparagus and there was a tablespoon of potatoes. We watched our server, who agreed with us, take it back to the chef. He had a temper tantrum and slammed his spatula against the counter. It was quite the scene for us to watch from our table. For $91.00 I would have expected a lot more. I won't recommend.
Town Hall is the place for great atmosphere, service, food and cocktails!
Food was wonderful as usual but there were several menu items they were out of given it was a Saturday night and we had an early 6:30pm seating
Food and service was excellent! Can’t stress that enough! However, stop your chincy draft pours. Full price should equal a typical pour. The “trendy” glassware isn’t fooling anyone.
Great dinner. Food was (as usual) delicious! Hostess even met my request to be seated in the main dining room on a VERY busy Friday. Server was attentive and took care of us.
Again, simply incredible. Fresh ingredients combined to take your meal to another level.
What a surprise to find this excellent restaurant on our long road trip from Florida to MA. We made a last minute reservation via Opentable from an hour south of Florence. Housed in a perfectly restored period brick building the space is beautifully designed. It’s worth a visit if only to see what a terrific job someone did of designing a restaurant space that’s functional yet exciting without being pretentious.
The food was exceptional: beautifully presented and delicious. Served in generous portions. The apps were big enough to share or have as a main course.
Our served, Dion, was charming and excellent at his job. The service was prompt. The lighting was lovely (giving us the ability to read the menus without turning on our phone
flashlights). The place was pretty empty and thus quiet, I
Imagine it can get pretty noisy when crowded.
From the look of things Florence is experiencing a rehab and building boom. A new hotel is going up across the street from the restaurant. So right now it looks like a neighborhood in transition. I encourage you to eat at the Town Hall and tell your friends. This is a place that deserves knowing about.
Great venue. Fantastic food and service. Worth every bit of the 90-minute drive from Columbia, SC.
We dined here on a Monday night for our date night. The hostess was very friendly and professional, and really added class to the restaurant. Our server was Melody and she was outstanding. She made sure all our needs were met, personable, was very knowledgable about the menu, and it was clear she was dedicated to making sure our experience was incredible. We did not feel rushed at all and the food was staggered at just the right pace. It was all cooked to perfection and plated beautifully. Furthermore, the restaurant itself was very clean and classy. No doubt one of our favorite spots in Downtown Florence and truly outstanding.
Very poor service from our waitress. The manager checked on us and wished us a happy anniversary but we did not feel it was the right time to complain. I asked for the sausage appetizer and was told “ we haven’t got that” followed by the chefs working on it. Good portions were very small compared to our previous visits. Just not up to what we expect from Town Hall.
Amazing food, kind and knowledgeable staff and great ambiance. Highly, highly recommend.
My mother and I were traveling on I-95 and spent the night in Florence. We had dinner on a whim at Town Hall. It is worth the effort to make a reservation and take a short drive from the busy/chain-restaurant area.
It was Saturday evening 7:00/7:30 pm and the restaurant was full. The ambiance was wonderful and the food was excellent. A gorgeous sophisticated/industrial vibe. A great mix of people and everyone was having a fun time. Even though it was busy, the dining area was not too loud. Our service was perfect- just enough attention; not too much or too little. We both had seared fish as an entree. It was cooked perfectly. Only one vegetarian entree is offered, so that could be a challenge for some.
The downtown area is obviously in the middle of a revitalization effort. Seeing the new construction and renovation of the old buildings is a plus. We were happy to have our dining dollars go to the cause of bringing the downtown back to life.
Great place to dine with friends.
Enjoyed our food very much but had an issue with one hot item being cold and when we brought up the issue, the manager? (Not sure really who he was) came with a new portion and the way he said sorry was to make us seem like we couldn’t possibly be right about it because they ALWAYS come out hot. OKAY, would you like to taste it? We never usually complain about these kinds of things but when we are paying the prices we were here we expect things to be correct. This really gives me pause about returning.
Great food great dinner.
Waitress started out good, but quickly declined when more people arrived.
A lucky find for us. After driving 600 miles we needed a place to relax, cool down, have a cocktail and good food. We used Open Table and once again were very happy with the food, the service and the ambiance. They also have seating alongside the chef who commands the wood-burning grill, which we really enjoyed
Overall Excellent. Only surprise was $18 for soft shells special was not properly explained by waitress as EACH. Still all at this downtown revitalization location is a great addition to Florence.
Birthday dinner with family. Food and service were impeccable. Would highly recommend.
TownHall did it again!!!! Amazing food and fabulous staff. My husband and I love this place.
The service was very personalized and they were very concerned to give excellent service. Great experience
Everything was really good!
Food is cooked to perfection and choice ingredients are used. Great experience.
Celebrating a birthday and had a wonderful time! It was several of the families first visit and they were impressed. All said we would be back.
My husband and I were so excited about going here for our anniversary. We’ve been before and loved everything. This time was very different and very disappointing. We were so disappointed that they were out of the sausage starter so we ordered the fish dip, not good at all. Our server brought us the deviled eggs since we didn’t like the fish dip, which was kind. They were great. So we ordered the ribeye medium. When it came out it was charred on one side and really salty. We didn’t even want to eat it. We didn’t want to complain because our server was so gracious and we weren’t looking to get anything for free. But it was awful. We also got about 3 bites of mashed potatoes with it and the salad on the side was soaked in dressing and very salty. I’m so thankful we got the truffle fries or I might’ve cried. We were so disappointed and definitely don’t plan to go back after that experience. We actually left and ended up going to Dairy Queen. Not the anniversary dinner I was hoping for.
