A very nice place, love the atmosphere. We went for lunch, so it wasn’t too crowded and this time of year the outside deck is really nice. There were eight of us, so it took a little longer than usual to get the food which we all enjoyed.

We visited at 7pm for a date night. Incredible ambience at this historic building in Burlington KY. Delicious food, attentive staff, and clean and friendly. All combined for a much needed date night for us. If you want a little respite from the world and an opportunity to focus on connecting with your spouse or partner, I recommend it! We do not drink, but they have a solid assortment available. Our bill less than $100 including 25% tip and worth it all around!

We've been to the Tousey House many times and usually it's been good overall. This time, the best way I can describe it was lackluster. We were there on Saturday at 4pm celebrating Mother's day early. The restaurant wasn't busy but you could tell they were gearing up for a busy night. We were there with our two very young children. We were seated fairly quickly but it took a while for our waitress to come to our table. Finally when she came she brought water, but no bread. We ordered an appetizer and she said she would put it in then be back with bread, unless our appetizer came out quickly. It did not, and still no bread. Our children are three, and one years old and began to get very cranky because they were hungry. Finally our appetizer came out, the beer cheese with pretzel bread. It was pretty good, but then again that's a hard thing to mess up. We put our order in, and it took a while to come out. I ordered the fried chicken and my wife ordered the crispy chicken thighs with the mushroom risotto. We have both ordered that before. Both of these took a while to come out, and the kids started to get cranky again. Finally dinner arrived. My entrée came with mashed potatoes that were greatly under seasoned.If you are going to serve mashed potatoes without gravy they need to be good, these were not. I tasted my chicken, and it was incredibly salty. Though it was cooked perfectly, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. My wife's chicken was very salty as well, but the big issue was the risotto. It was under cooked. The rice was still crunchy. A note about the service.The hostess was extremely helpful, even though I had made an error in making my reservation online she found us a table quickly. Our waitress was very friendly, just not very attentive. As I mentioned she never brought us bread, and never asked if we wanted dessert. It had been a while since we visited and I think it will be a while before we visit again

This was the second time, my wife and I have been here. This place never disappoints. Magen was a wonderful server, and hostess. Food was Awesome, drinks were Great. Dessert was delicious!!! Enjoy this Gem!!!

Our server was amazing! My husband has terminal cancer and we chose Tousey House to celebrate our son’s Law School graduation. The food was excellent and they accommodated my husbands food restrictions. I could not be happier with the food and service.

We had a very good experience at Tousey House last night. It's a lovely 1822 "4-square" mansion, well-restored, antique furnished and decorated, white table cloths and first rate, attentive waitstaff and busing. Our table for two was upstairs, reached by an period-style compact and relatively steep staircase. Our reservation was at 5:45pm on a pleasant spring Friday, so there was only one other party in our room. We had no problem carrying on a private conversation. My ribeye was good and my date's filet was very good. The house salad with rich roquefort dressing was excellent. The brussels sprouts and mashed potato sides were average. We didn't order drinks or desserts, so our tab was about $100 plus tip. A very good value for the ambiance, first-rate service and quality food.

Our party of 5 really enjoyed our drinks and meals on their comfortable veranda. Most of us had the scrumptious fried chicken. Server was fantastic (unfortunately forgot his name)…look forward to our next meal at the Tousey House!

Our family really enjoys dining at Tousey House. We usually leave very impressed with our meals. The food is delicious and we have great service. Our meal yesterday wasn’t quite up to par. My husband’s Hot Brown was dry and tasteless. Three of us had the crab cake sandwich which was good, however the hot slaw wasn’t as delicious as usual. The dressing was just lukewarm and not served hot.The coleslaw served on the side was also not good. Not sure if they have a new chef or yesterday was just an off day for the kitchen? Our service was good, however there was a baby shower party in the room next to us and the noise level made it difficult at times for us to hold a conversation. We will be back and hope our next visit is much better!

We are weekly customers at Tousey for Sunday brunch and it’s always a pleasant experience. The food is great and James, Rebecca and Joe are always friendly and accommodating as is the young guys who keep the tables clean and our waters filled up 🥰👍

The evening was very nice. We started with the goetta egg roll appetizer and it was very tasty. A couple things to hit on that could made for a better experience. 1) The menu does not list the side items available so you can’t be fully prepared when ordering, you have to ask when you ordered 2) I ordered the NY Strip dinner. Overall the dish was good, but it wasn’t cooked evenly through at the medium temperature requested and was over-charred in a few spots which made for a few bitter bites. We finished the dinner with the banana chocolate chip crème brûlée which was delicious.

We decided to celebrate our anniversary at the Tousey House Tavern. We were greeted promptly and shown to our table. They have an extensive wine list and a nice variety of meals to choose from on their menu. Everything was delicious! They have a wonderful selection of desserts to finish off your dining experience. Reservations are a MUST for this restaurant.

Outstanding service and food every time we go there. First time sitting downstairs in the main dining room and it was super loud! There were several large parties eating but we just yelled over each other 😂 Was there for my birthday and was given the carrot cake pudding as a present, thank you… we will always be loyal customers.
