Toulouse Petit Kitchen & Lounge
Our expansive menus offer culinary diversity and range from traditional Creole and French Quarter menu choices to traditional Parisian and French countryside preparations to more innovative dishes that are entirely unique to Toulouse.
Beautiful place, fully of happy people and good energy. They have an extensive menu and my guess is that everything listed is amazing. We were there with a big group of 7 and every item, from the cocktails to the oysters to the flourless cake - was top notch!
The food is always wonderful here. My husband loves steak and appreciates their unique take. I had the boulibaise, which was nice and spicy. Their hamburger are delicious as are the pomme frites. While the beignets taste ok, they are a far cry from what you’ll get in New Orleaans (Toulouse’s aren’t puffy and light). My only true regret was the waitress nor bar staff had no idea what a cafe au lait was - come on, you say you are creole inspired...educate your staff. Will I be back? Absolutely!
Food was delicious, we were seated promptly, and the waitress was knowledgeable and pleasant, but a bit too busy, since our drinks and food were staggered in arrival. All in all, a great experience!
Good food and the service was very good. Our waitress was very patient with my guest.
We'd always heard that this restaurant was noisy, a "singles" scene, which did not appeal to us. We finally decided to give it a try pre-theater and were VERY pleasantly surprised. The service was friendly, attentive but not hovering. Well-priced wine list, generous pours by the glass, and nicely mixed cocktails. Extensive menu, well cooked and attractively presented dishes at reasonable, moderate price. My only (minor) complaints are that the restaurant is rather darkly lit and can be a bit noisy at times, but would not stop us from a return visit. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at Toulouse Petit.
Very cool place. Great food and great service. We lived in New Orleans fro 2 1/2 years and Toulouse Petit does it right. If you can't find something on this menu that is of interest (and tastes great), well......
Amazing menu with classic and unique options. Something for every taste. Service is professional yet personal. One of the best experiences in Seattle. A must do!
We took our teens for a special night out but it would be even better for date night. Very romantic atmosphere. Food was really quite good. Enjoyed my cocktail and the wines by the glass were varied and interesting.
The only problem we had Was that the waitress was really hungover. Food everything else was above par. Thanks
Service is not up to standards, we felt being rushed during the entire time. Our dinner started at 7 pm, by 8:10 we finished our main course. The waiter presented us the bill while we just started our dessert.
The place looks beautiful. The food is not worth the price. The waitress was not very understanding and nice when we asked to change one plate we thought was too spicy. Then another person took over her and she made the environment a little better cause the first attendant was very rude.
Anyway it was not worth the experience unless you really love spicy creole food.
Excellent restaurant! The ambiance is beautiful, service is great and the food is amazing!
Get food, service & ambience!
Great place but service failed twice on our orders. The food was awesome so don’t worry about service.
Amazing dinner and fabulous cocktails with family and friends!
Excellent service, cozy atmosphere, great food. Don't forget dessert.
The French onion soup was cold and unflavored, bland. The crab dip was cold and soupy. The food was just terrible
What a great evening! We were going to the theater and wanted to have a nice dinner before. This will be one of our go-to places in the future. Although this is a bit of a noisy restaurant, the service was great and the food..... amazing! We will be back!
Always excellent food in an interesting and beautiful environment ... but also, always too loud. We love the menu and the servers are great. It's just a difficult place to have an across-the-table conversation without yelling.
Went for a double birthday dinner. The food was wonderful and the atmosphere great. A definite return for any occasion is in the near future.
Lovely evening in a beautiful spot, the Jambalaya was delicious and the view by the window with the space needle in the background just perfect! We’ll be back!
Delicious and varied menu. Attentive and friendly service.
Great spot in Lower Queen Anne. Our server was exceptional and took the time to answer my questions, give recommendations, etc. She was also terrific at giving us the time we needed to chat, but kept the drinks flowing.
The food covers several categories, most of us stuck to pasta/seafood/French Quarter favorites and they were all quite good. Super fun evening, will dine with Toulouse again!
It's amazing how many items are on the menu yet every dish comes out as if just made that moment - I dont know how they do it!
We LOVE this place... food was amazing and service was great. Always a favorite! Even tho it’s loud we can always hear ourselves at the table, which is nice for us old timers.
Great food and ambiance
A friend and I enjoyed the gracious welcome and delightful ambiance of your restaurant. The Happy Hour began early enough for us to enjoy authentic Cajun cooking and good red wines before evening showing of the SIFF Italian Film Festival. This is a repeat visit and I will certainly be back with family and friends.
Had an amazing time!! Food was delicious and the staff was attentive and friendly.
Food was ok, some dishes good, others like cheese plate uninspired. Service may have had an off night, but it was out of step the whole time. A drink forgotten, no one checked after food was delivered, another drink sent back as it tasted off, no attempt to remedy. Not great given it was birthday dinner.
Lovely space, but food and service were subpar. I had a vegetarian gnocchi dish -- the mushrooms were tough and the gnocchi were oddly hard and dry. Our server was meh. Luckily I was with excellent company and, as I said, the ambiance was very romantic. I might or might not go back for dinner, more likely stop in for a glass of wine.
The ambiance is romantic and calming. My only issue was with the quality of the food. I ordered the shrimp linguini. There was zero flavor, even though I was expecting strong and spicy creole seasonings. Service was a bit slow, but that was expected for a busy Saturday night.
One amazing dish, one that was so so. Great service.
Restaurant week menu was top notch. Had the seafood gumbo, lamb, and bread pudding. All very flavorful. Love the ambiance (candles everywhere) but be aware it is pretty noisy.
My husband and I went to dinner at Tolouse Petit for our anniversary, and it was amazing!
It was our first time visiting and we were delighted with the food and the ambiance!
We shared the Jambalaya and the Fennel & Pork Gnocchi, both were insanely good!
Then we ended the night with the creme brulee trio which was to die for! If they served the hazelnut creme brulee in a tub I'd go for it.
Overall great place for dinner!
Food was honestly just ok. Salad was a odd mix of flavors that did not belong together. Gumbo was delicious. Lamb was very basic, fattier than usually and chimichurri had no flavor whatsoever. Restaurant is very loud, more like a sports bar. Service was also painfully slow. I ordered a glass of wine before my main dish, it did not arrive until I was almost done. Servers also do not clear plates or empty glasses they wait on slower bussers to do so. Plus there's a 5% service "wage" charge added to the bill which then states it's not for gratitude. Owners shouldn't be so cheap. Increase the cost of items instead of a surprise charge on bills.
Toulouse Petit is my favorite brunch spot in all of Seattle, but last night I got to try their hand at dinner and it did not disappoint. It has a calm and quiet sophistication about it, without being overly formal and it just feels like a bistro in New Orleans, but clean.
The Duck Muscovy and Pork Terrine was fantastic. I wish I could get a po boy with that meat on it at least once a week!
The Cheese plate was fantastic. The Stilton was a little more subtle than I expected, which was nice. It didn't overpower any of the other cheeses and paired well with the terrine!
We decided on the Spicy Shrimp, andouille sausage and Craw-fish over creamy grits... WOW! I haven't had flavor like this in food since I was in New Orleans last year. If I lived in Seattle, I would come back just for this dish all the time. Not kidding, it was a show-stopper. Hint* If you get this dish, please do yourself and get a great bold red wine to pair with this spicy dish. You are welcome!
Also, we got the Filet 'Oscar' mid-rare. I have had filet 'Oscar' a lot... It is my go to, if I am in a seafood town... and it is always delicious, but this preparation had more crab on it than you could possibly imagine!!!! The Steak was 8 ounces and there was at least that much crab on top. I was blown away. NEVER have I seen such a generous portion of crab on an Oscar. Ever! and for 55$, you literally will never get a deal like this in a fine dining establishment anywhere on the west coast!
Go here and enjoy. I will be back.
This is a classy restaurant! The food and drink menu is impressive with lots of choices for everyone. It was too dark and noisy for our group, however.
We were a party of 4 and we ordered appetizers, specialty cocktails, entrees and desserts. Everything was super delicious! Our meals came quickly and everything was hot. The seafood portions were very
