We had a reservation and were seated quickly, but the service was exceedingly slow. Granted, the restaurant was busy, but we went for stretches of 30 minutes or more without seeing our server, and attempts to flag her (or anyone else) down were unsuccessful for the most part. We didn't even order our meals until we had been seated for nearly an hour. Our server was unapologetic except for a very brief "thanks for your patience" at the very end, mentioning that everyone had arrived at once. Food was OK, but nothing to warrant a special trip. My "medium" burger was tasty but well done. The bun was soggy with tomato jam, probably because it sat around for a long time before being delivered to the table. Fries were crispy and delicious, if only they weren't absolutely covered in salt. I might give this place another try, particularly the Jambalaya and steaks looked good, but I won't be rushing back.

This place was difficult to find but we'll worth the search. Fast, friendly service and a very interesting menu with lots of variety. Food was delicious and presentation was appealing.

We enjoyed the ambiance- it feels elegant and romantic. My husband enjoyed his shrimp and grits meal but I was very underwealmed by the rabbit pappardelle. It felt like the chef forgot to salt it and it seemed very bland. I took most of it home so I could doctor it up with some spice. Not thrilled to have to do that for a $17 meal.

Atmosphere is incredible, not sure there's anything else in Seattle like it. It's sexy and moody yet lively and happening. The lit candles around the perimeter of the room help with that. The food is good, a big variety, but the service was annoying. The waiter was very business-like and made us feel very rushed. He seemed stressed out and irritated. I would've appreciated a more relaxed, friendly server. He also got our dessert wrong HOWEVER he did apologize and fix it right away.

Myself and a group of friends went for the first time on Saturday night. The ambience is pretty cool and our waitress was spot on with her recommendations. The only thing is some of the pasta dishes were too small , specially for boys, and not many vegetarians options. I would recommend get the seafood dishes instead! Beignets for dessert is a must!

Not as enamored as we've been on our many previous visits. Decent service, always a fun vibe, good drink choices, but food was just average. Maybe they need to step up their game, or perhaps they have so much bat business they no longer care as much about the food..,

Made a reservation for a birthday dinner for 3. Arrived a little early and were seated right away. I am not sure if it is because we were seated near the bar, and we were there during happy hour, but it was a bit loud. The service was okay. We only saw our waitress a few times, but the bus boy and a few other staff members were very attentive. We always had full water glasses, which is something I really appreciate. The food was amazing and the waitress brought out a plate of delicious beingets and a slice of cheesecake for our birthday celebration. While both were amazing, I think we all agreed that the beingets were the best. The coffee sauce that they are served with is amazing! The cheesecake came with a lemon curd-type sauce and some fresh strawberries which were amazing. We ordered the fried green tomatoes with crab for an appetizer, which was incredible. For entrees we had the braised pork and gnocchi, jambalaya, and shrimp with andouille, crawfish, and grits. All were amazing. If you are a like a little heat with your food, I would recommend any of the items we ordered. Not too spicy, but not too not spicy. Definitely will be going again if I am in the area.

First time experience as part of Seattle Restaurant Week, early on a Sunday evening after a Seattle Opera performance. A chef's choices for the prix fixe menu for SRW tell a great deal about her/his point of view. The food at Toulouse was excellent, accurately reflecting the general menu and not down-playing the choices.

There were several bumps in the service that warrant the 'good' rating. We had to request refills of water more than once; we had to ask for appropriate knives for steak; and the staffer who cleared our table did so only one dish at a time, dashing off before the other diners could mention we were also done with a course - a reluctance on his part that would not be out of place in, say, an Indian restaurant, where disinclination to remove anything from the table (no matter how empty the dish or small the table) reaches a height.

That said, the general interaction with the servers was excellent, as was the wine recommendation make by the main one.

I will certainly return!

When you offer valet service on your website, make sure it is available or update your site for the evening when it's not available. We don't like going out in Seattle, esp. weekend evenings due to parking so we chose Toulouse Petite for the food plus the valet service. We dragged friends there for my husband's birthday and told them not to worry about parking since there will be valet. There was no valet. The only answer we got from the hostess was "Not tonight, our valet service changed. I don't normally work here at night." Food/drink service wasn't great either. Drinks were ordered before appetizers but there were still no drinks after we've finished our appetizers. My husband made a follow up and the server said "Like I said, somebody must have gotten your drink so we'll have to make another one." We didn't order just one drink, we ordered two, so does that mean another table ordered the exact two drinks that we asked for , a hurricane and a sangria? A few minutes after getting our drinks, another server was approaching us with 3 or 4 sangrias?! We motioned that we already had our 2 drinks so she just turned back around. They couldn't even get the drink orders right. Good thing the food and ambiance are great, otherwise that night would have been a disaster. We liked the music that was playing. Gumbo, jambalaya and desserts were great. They need to bottle and sell that sauce that goes with the beignets.

Recently discovered this intimate restaurant when searching for a place to grab a drink with a group of friends before a concert at KeyArena, and after seeing photos I was very eager to visit! Toulouse turned out to be a very great choice. The ambiance was amazing and impressionable. I definitely recommend making reservations for a special occasion.

The food is amazing, great value for the price. Wine list is impressive. We typically have excellent service, but this time was an exception. We didn’t have our bottle of wine served until after the meal (not appetizer but entrees) arrived. Our special requests were forgotten. The whole meal felt rushed and our server while nice was inattentive.
