This is one gem of a restaurant up on Knox St. I was planning on taking my husband there for his birthday dinner, but first i wanted to try if for its' "French Cuisine". I sat on the patio which has A/C. There were so many wonderful things on the menu, but the deep fried Frogs Legs are what i ordered, they were indeed crisp as the batter was superb in coating and preserving the juiciness of the legs meat, which just about fell of the bone. You can either cook frogs legs expertly or you just plain old screw them up. I had a cocktail Chanel No.6 which was extremely heavy on the vodka. The second course i had "Steak au Pouvre", medallions of beef with fries and asparagus and mushrooms. The medallions are on thin cut side so be careful how you determine your range. I had Pouilly Fume. It's the only one on the wine list by the glass, it' was strong enough to complement the steak very well. At that point no desert was contemplated. This is a true French Bistro. 5 Stars for Casual-to Fine Dining. I went home and took a siesta.
Our server, Dennis, was outstanding and very patient as we enjoyed our long evening with old friends. Our entire evening was fabulous. The meal was delicious. The atmosphere on the patio was wonderful and we can't wait to go back.
I have been dining there since it opened and it is one of the best restaurants in Dallas and always has been. The service, with Serge at the helm, is impeccable, friendly and inviting and the food always superb.
Delicious late dinner of filet and salmon. Grand Marnier souffle for dessert was amazing.
Great place for formal or casual dining. Joe our server was awesome.
Perfect way to celebrate our anniversary. Food was delicious as always
Top of the line service and ambiance. Staff is helpful, kind, warm, and readily available. The space is charming and there is variety on the menu. I loved the cheese board we ordered as a starter- it didn’t have that one bad cheese that most boards have and was soo delicious. Steak frites was good too. What made the experience was definitely the staff.
Have been coming here for years, and it’s always phenomenal! The food is great, and the servers are always so incredibly nice. It’s a guaranteed wonderful experience each and every time. And these days consistency is not always so easy to come by.
Phenomenal as always!
My friends and I went for Bastille Day. They had drink specials and a soufflé special. We had the zucchini chips, cheese board, lobster salad, lobster roll, mussels, and beef bourguignon. Everyone said their food was delicious. The server was friendly and attentive. Seating on the street is covered and temperature controlled; good for people watching. A Dallas staple for sure!
First timers here. Arrived early for our reservation but were still seated immediately. Nice! Host brought over purse rack to hang our bags on! Waiter was there within seconds to take our drink orders. Several great cocktails on the menu. We had their signature Chanel 6 and French 77. Both were delicious. Appetizer was petite gougeres (tiny gruyere cheese pastries). Yum. Dinner was lobster risotto and steak frites. Risotto came out hot and perfectly cooked. Steak was chewy and a bit tough. Frites were very salty. Ordered champagne cocktail and chocolate soufflé for dessert. Excellent ending to an almost perfect dinner. The service was outstanding and the ambiance was nice. Looking forward to returning and trying more cocktails and maybe escargot. Valet parking is convenient, safe and only $5.
Toulouse is always fabulous!
Unpretentious, awesome place with excellent food (we had mussels), great wine and nice, knowledgeable staff.
Lively with a fun atmosphere. Great cocktails- a little skewed toward women’s tastes (think champagne and rose). Food was delicious. Had the mussels, tuna tartare, oysters, escargot, and French onion soup. Oysters were outstanding. Would be fun for a date night or a fun night out with the girls.
We requested a large table, given our party of five. We were seated at a table normally set for four.
The noise level was very
Great food and service. I can't believe they allow Pets in the store while people are eating dinner. WAY too much for me
This is such a charming restaurant not far from downtown and in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood.! The food is authentic and as good as advertised. We greatly enjoyed our drinks and it was a pleasure to converse with the friendly staff. A classic Dallas restaurant and we highly recommend a visit!
We went to Toulouse for a family dinner. Grandparents, grown children, 6 year old and 8 year old grandchildren. Elizabeth was our server. We ordered calamari, escargot, oysters Toulouse, the charcuterie platter, quiche, salads, bouillabaisse, Dover sole, flounder, a cheeseburger, French fries, and chocolate soufflés. Everything was incredible! Cooked to perfection. Toulouse is consistently great and never disappoints.
Our server was the best! It was a s meal and it really forwarded my relationship with my client.
I have been eating at Toulouse for 13 years ,my favorite place for food ,ambience and people watching!
Always great food at Toulouse! The service is incredible .
Truly special food served by experienced and knowledgeable waitstaff.
Our server was excellent-subtle and responsive. Asked his name so I could complement “Dennis” to the management. We had a Quiche dish, Creamy not “eggy” delicious; Chicken that was velvety and tasty, and French Onion soup - perfect.
Toulouse is one of our favorites. Great variety on the menu and excellent service.
We tried Toulouse for the first time today after spotting it while walking the Katy trail. We Made a reservation but arrived a little early. The Hostess was very accommodating and immediately seated us. Our waiter was pleasant and the environment was very cozy. We ordered the Tuna tartare, Ruby red trout, and filet au poivre. Everything tasted great (though I don’t think it tasted worth the price). Overall everything was good and I would return again to try out the brunch menu!
Amazing service...food quality changed since last my visit in March..
Always expect nice service and always receive it
Friend in town
Outstanding dinner and most delicious chocolate soufflé. Great drinks as well. Try the grapefruit gimlet!
My roasted chicken was possibly the best I've ever had. Crusty, well flavored, well cooked.
My guest's escargot was superb as usual. And how not to love the chocolate mousse? Service was attentive but the waiter seemed less experienced than the servers with whom I've become familiar at Toulouse. Still, he was very good. Overall, a lovely evening.
Too many mosquitoes….
Outstanding experience! Definitely will be back!
The seafood dishes were delicious!
We went on a Sunday at 6:00 to avoid the crowd. Very enjoyable.
Outstanding dinner as always. We’ve had dinner a Toulouse many times for over 10 years and the restaurant never disappoints. The chocolate soufflé is absolutely delicious.
We gave been ti Toulouse many times. It us one of my favorite restaurants in Dallas. But this time the service was poor and the equally poor. Not sure what’s going on there.
We were early for our reservation, but were seated immediately, despite the restaurant being very crowded. Lisa, our server welcomed us and asked about our anniversary, which was noted in the reservation request. She was an excellent waiter, anticipated without being intrusive. All our food was wonderful. Whenever we come to Dallas, this is our “ go to” restaurant. It never disappoints. My wife had the salade Maison, and the Dover Sole. It was filleted at the table, which adds to the presentation. I had the escargot, followed by the Cognac Filet. Our dessert was the Chocolate Soufflé. Again, delicious.
They were so accommodating to my kids!
Had a great time. Abigail, our waitress, was great. She made quite a few wonderful recommendations. We were there celebrating a few people and the did a great job helping do so. It did take a bit of time to get food and espesh dessert. Other than the wait, great job, food, visit.
Great service and atmosphere! Love the patio seating!
