Good place I come occasionally
Tasty food and very good service. The souffle was especially good and too big for one person. Overall it was a bit pricey, but considering what we got wasn't too bad.
The restaurant was closed and no one notified us - not open house nor the restaurant. We waisted our time.
It was delicious!!
The 70's music blasting from the speakers was objectionable and made conversation all but impossible throughout the restaurant, inside and out. Unacceptable for such a restaurant. The manager, who could not care less when we complained about the loudness of the music, showed us to three unacceptable tables before we made our decision to walk out. We will not be back.
Service was horrible. Food is ok no big deal. Wouldn't go there again
Really had a good time Saturday night at Toulouse. Service was great, food really good as well. The manager made sure that we were well taken care of, let us move outdoors for dessert to enjoy a (surprisingly) nice Houston evening. Our group of four had mussels & escargot for appetizers, we had two fish meals, a surf and turf special and a duck breast for entree's and a grand marnier souffle for dessert. The only portion not "up to par" was the duck which was a little rubbery - but duck is always hit or miss....
Would definitely recommend for a night out.
Great atmosphere and food- service was excellent also. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Wonderful experience. Wait staff attentive. Food was very fresh+ prepared amazingly.
Our food was wonderful. We each ordered different items. The onion soup was very good. I had Shrimp Louie and it was the perfect size for a ladies lunch. We arrived early (11:30 am) and enjoyed the opportunity to talk and be heard. Once the room filled with guests, the noise level grew considerably.
Good lattes, orange juice, quiche, and smoked salmon benedict. I love the front porch ambience and that it has A/C and closed in against the heat. Lights need to be fixed in the rest room so that they do not go out when one is in a booth; this is hazardous.
Great food with classy ambience and great service. Should be mindful of disruptive patrons
Food was good, service got better. Went for Father’s Day brunch. Warm welcome Always by owners/management. Service can be ho hum. Warm up to your waiter.
Made a reservation for 3 and our table was not held. We were given a table for 2 and it was an unstable table, moving side to side when you put anything on it. When we asked for a different table, we were given another unstable. We asked to speak with the manager and “Tommy” manger never came to the table. My husband took one bite of his burger and it tasted like the it was turned. The waiter noted that he didn’t eat any of it and never took it off the bill or ask if he wanted something different. I made a reservation as it was Father’s Day and we were really looking forward to it as the previous time we ate there it was a totally different experience. Food and service, especially from the manager just inexcusable. We will never diner there again!
I had mentioned it was for a 70th birthday dinner and even called and spoke with the hostess to confirm this. Unfortunately when they brought the dessert there was no candle or anything special for a birthday. I mentioned it & they quickly revised the dish but it ruined the element of surprise.
We really enjoyed eating at Toulouse. It was our first time to visit and we were very pleased with everything from the setting to the service. I had salmon and my mom had the chicken. Both were excellent and our server was great. I would highly recommend a try!
Good bar and wines
Went for a friend's birthday. Food was great, as was the fact the restaurant gave my friend a special treat without us asking. I will definitely go back soon!
Vivian is amazing!
Muy a gusto.
Food excellent as always
the food caused me a very strong stomach pain
Excellent service, wonderful food!
Ambiance: French cafe chic, but unnecessarily noisy.
*Pastry basket: Good.
*French toast: an uneatable undercooked mush.
*Beignets: also undercooked (twice!).
Service: just okay, though they did comp the undercooked dishes without being asked.
Overall: your mileage may vary.
My husband and I have been here before and enjoyed it; however, tonight the service was horrible and the food was not much better. There was a party of 16 or so next to us and the attention was definitely on us. Throughout the night we literally had no idea who our waiter was. Random staff just walked up to us eventually when then saw us looking around frustrated. Both my husband and me had food that was over cooked and tasted like it had been under the warmer way too long. Very disappointing , especially when you are the parents of two kids under the age of four and to get a night out is a rarity!
Great night for outdoor dining. Servers here are spot-on, so friendly, and very good at recommendations. Food was all delicious as always!
Great ambiance, but food was very average for the price.
We had a delightful Saturday brunch here. The manager was so attentive that she stayed on the phone and helped us get to the restaurant after our GPS sent us in the wrong direction. Food and service was wonderful— perfectly poached eggs and authentic hollandaise that tasted like French butter— two elements many brunch menus mess up. Loved the duck hash!
Too loud to talk otherwise very good
It was my bday lunch !
We had a blast :) 🍾
Everything had bacon i guess if you like bacon it’s great. The chocolate soufflé is what made my dinner. The rest was quite forgettable and over priced.
Mother’s Day celebration
Love this place. Love the patio area. Great food, great ambiance and great wine.
Only complaint was it was a bit too warm inside - It was Mother's Day so definitely packed, but wish it could have been cooler to be more comfortable for everyone.
Our second visit. Superb food and welcoming and attentive service. What a perfect Mother’s Day lunch.
Husband and I date night! He was skeptical of French cuisine, however absolutely loved everything. We had the scallops and a seafood appetizer, the steak tartare was divine! He love the old fashion in the wine selection was tasty
Food was good, but service was just ok. Waiter seemed a bit hasted and quite busy.
Great setting. Fantastic for casual neighborhood people watching. Perfect outdoor dining with a wonderful spring evening. Food pairing was superb!
Came mid afternoon and sat outside. Loved the setting but it was pretty warm in mid May weather. Pretty good service.
This is my second time to come for brunch. Last time the service was outstanding, as was the food. This time, the service was lacking. We felt neglected, we had to flag down our waiter most times. We asked to be seated inside because it was 90 degrees outside (you know - it's Houston) but they had all the side doors open to the patio, so it was very hot inside. I was sweating all through brunch. The food was good, and we will definitely go back to see how the third time fares, as we have had two pretty extreme experiences. And 1/2 price rose on Sunday is hard to resist, and an excellent value, and the ambiance is beautiful - even when it is too warm.
