Dine out often Toulouse is easily in my top 5. All aspects of the dining experience were outstanding. I knew it would be a great time when I was able to easily cut the Octopus with my fork. Finished the meal with a nice Sauterne. Thank you Issac and Andreas.

The food was excellent when we finally were able to place an order. Our server introduced herself by telling us we needed to be patient because she had another large table to serve. We waited 45 minutes before she came back and took our drink and appetizer order. Then she finally took out meal order she couldn’t tell me what seafood was in the special of the day. She left and sent another server to our table to answer my question about the special of the day. The he became our server for the rest of the meal. We were at the table a total of 3 hours. I’ve been to Toulouse many times and have never had an experience like this before.

We had a family birthday and Toulouse made it memorable for us. The food was excellent, the ambience and our server was awesome. We will be back again, and maybe try out the outdoor seating with live music.

Overall it was a good meal meant to celebrate a milestone in my life with my partner. The shared plates were the highlight of the meal for me. The drinks were good and the entree options were plentiful. I chose the poulet and it was solid although I should have chosen the short rib. I will also say the outside seating is plentiful so the doors stay open leading to a bunch of flies inside so be advised.

THE WORST visit ever. I've been going to this place from the very first day they opened couple of years ago. Been a weekly customer. I have realized the decline in food quality and service recently but this time it was the demise of Toulouse. Rude service rude manager (Brian, I guess) Got the worst dark brown Ahi Tuna Tartar that was also literally "fishy" smelling. 2nd "appetizer" The worst ever escargot plate swimming in bad oil and parsley filling the many empty wholes that were supposed to be filled with escargot, and the escargot found were so small and dry as if they've been starved for Months. The 3rd " appetizer was the fruit de mer nothing but a plate of fried crumbs of fried flour and hard pieces of calamari and barely a small piece or two of heavily breaded fish crumbs. Main dishes were disasters but mainly the Duck confit was terrible and had no idea who or what hit it, Obviously the cook was moonlighting from his bad food truck business, or never heard of duck confit recipe other than put one duck leg in a skillet with bad oil and dry the hell of it, even the skillet had more "skill" in it than that "chef" using it. For the crowd that is careless or don't know what they are eating , they can enjoy the River Oaks district investment and nice atmosphere but those who want to eat: FIND SOME WHERE DECENT. N.B. when we complained to the manager, he brought back the same food we returned and tried to "force it on us" in a way that this is the best they could do

I was really excited about this restaurant the moment I valet parked and started walking in. The ambiance is perfect, and I have to admit based on ambiance I really got excited. Waiter was attentive and the drinks were great but it just kind of went blah after that. We ordered an appetizer and it came out quickly then we ordered main course and we were served within 6 minutes which immediately made me think the food was already prepared but I was still staying positive because I wanted this restaurant to be my new regular restaurant. Food was okay, it wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great. The food just didn’t match the ambiance. If you like French cuisine, I would recommend Etoile over this restaurant. Overall, I would eat here again but if you’re thinking the food is excellent or if you’re a foodie you might be disappointed. Everything but the food was excellent so don’t want to be too harsh but it is what it is.

Enjoyed an almost perfect meal in a lovely space with kind, helpful and efficient staff. A bit more than I usually spend on a dinner, but worth every penny and a great spot for a belated Mother’s Day dinner.

We had a great time and will definitely be back. The restaurant really needs to address the entry/hostess area, it was a major traffic jam and just poorly laid out. We ordered the octopus and crab cake... both were some of the best we've ever had. The tuna tower is okay, wouldn't order it again. The sea bass entree was excellent and wine offerings were great. Our waiter was outstanding!

First time visit and would like to go again. However the noise level outside was too much what with the singer. We were looking for a peaceful dinner with discussion with friends and it was hard to do. We were even told before arriving there was no music that night.
