Toulouse - Houston
In the tradition of all fine bistros, Toulouse has imaginative and seasonal menus that provide exactly what its patrons long for: cozy tables open to the street, mouth-watering specialties a la Française, delicious desserts made from scratch and an extensive wine list. Enjoy the tastes of France with our exciting yet comforting dishes such as our famous quiches, an expertly cooked trout almondine or the best mussels in the city.
Dine with us and be transported to Paris, if only for a moment.
Brian was my server and he was fabulous! The food was delicious as well as the service I will definitely return!
The food is always spot on, but the noise level and apparent shortage of competent servers really left us with a less than positive experience.
Love it here
Great food and drink. Excellent for a date or girlfriends night.
It was amazing the service was remarkable everyone was professional, kind, and welcoming. Diverse - rich crowd.
Great location and atmosphere food is amazing and the staff is top notch
It was fabulous!
Food was wonderful. It was excessively loud. Plus the big TV ruins the upscale feel.
Delightful atmosphere and delicious food. I would highly recommend!
Excellent food, great ambiance and fabulous customer service!
Great place for a birthday celebration
One of our favorite places to eat in Houston. Love the location, food, atmosphere etc. Definitely at the top of the list for places with good people watching. They are always accommodating and make you feel welcome.
The service is always outstanding. Kudos to Oliver, Janna, Fili, Carlos and Michelle for their outstanding work - not just this visit but always.
Quiche was moist and tasty. Charcuterie plate was modified to our tastes. Very nice. Great setting outside.
And always exceptionally nice to our dog.
Toulouse is a hidden gem for those looking for an upbeat date night with some solid food and service.
Overall service left a lot to be desired. Servers just seem distracted with all the happenings and buzz outside, but it took me 3 times to ask for and actually receive a water. The food comes out quickly, great selection of dishes and food, but the choppy service somewhat spoiled the experience.
We had a delightful lunch on the patio on a beautiful afternoon. There was a great two piece band with Spanish flare playing which we really enjoyed. Only complaint was that I got a message from Open Table saying we hadn't shown up for the reservation. Not sure where the mixup was on that but had to respond to that email to assure them that in fact, we did show up and greatly enjoyed our time.
The food was not good for the price. The lobster bisque was the worst I’ve ever had. The service was inattentive. Had to ask for water and bread for my escargot. This is the first time I was here and I will not be back.
I agree with other Yelpers - the Manager is an idiot and needs to be fired. (. . .see YELP reviews) The lil 2-piece background/Ambiance band on the patio last night (10/31/19) was way too loud. We thought the restaurant was a French themed restaurant. Had been there a couple of times and had a pretty good experience. The manager insisted upon allowing the band to continue to blast most everyone off of the patio. When we asked him to tone it down - his response was I WILL NOT. He told us we could move us indoors - so we moved indoors. Things did not get better indoors. The manager starting pumping smoke into the restaurant with a machine every ten minutes. It was so bad my wife and our daughter refused to stay and ended up leaving - because we had ordered our food - they acted annoyed when told them we could not take the smoke and only offered to make our dinner to go. The two tables next to ours - a two and six top left as well. We go out to dinner at least 2-3 times a week and know that this was unacceptable and perhaps the worst dining experience, ever! Whoever the owners are need to re-think their decision to have a French restaurant that BLAST rock music at their customers before it’s too late. Needless to say, we will not be returning until the restaurant is with a new manager who understands that the establishment is nothing without their customers.
This restaurant is nothing short of spectacular! From the
Moment we arrived until we left our dining experience was flawless. The food was outstanding and the service was unparalleled. I think we found our new date spot. You will see us back for certain.
Love the food and staff! Always there for celebrations and fun lunches- they always make it special. Highly recommend
Beautiful outdoor area. Fabulous food and great service
Brunch was subpar. Food was not hot and looked like it was just thrown together without care or flavor. I had the Salmon Benedict and it was awful! English muffin was hard and cold so were the eggs. I would not go there for brunch again.
Fabulous food. Wait help limited knowledge. Need more training.
Great food and ambiance
Very nice restaurant, the food very well prepared.
While they were busy, the noise level made conversation very easy. The service was great. While not a problem, the location inside the mall made finding the restaurant a little difficult. Overall, an excellent experience and will go again.
Love this place! Great food, service and ambiance
Toulouse is, overall, an average restaurant, with food that is not really French (neither Quiche nor Beef Bourguignon tasted anything like what I remember on trips to France) and servers who do not always meet the mark for professionalism. On the positive side, the restaurant is located in a nice, albeit acoustically live, space in a very nice, upscale shopping center with a free parking deck. At this price point in Houston, I am surprised the restaurant has remained competitive with other Houston upper moderate restaurant offerings for as long as it has been open; perhaps it is just not to my taste.
The Happy Hour food offerings are at least as good as the dinner fare. I recommend the Happy Hour--it is fairly priced and a good value.
Wonderful as usual
Get rid of the jazz players outside. Please. Make it soft French music or French music vocals. It would be so much more enjoyable on a lovely evening. Please. Too harsh, and not in sync with Toulouse as it relates to these loud Jazz players and band. It’s too harsh and too uncomfortable.
Fantastic place, food, atmosphere and service. The only issue was that we were not informed on the price on the recommendations and, not surprisingly, turned up been really high.
We at Toulouse for an event and we had about 10 people and the service really didn’t care. Every time we would ask a question he would roll his eyes like he had something better to do than be our server. He was also very slow. He left us without refills for a while and my group was always having to ask different severs for things because he was no where to be found. Upon asking if we could have something else to drink besides water, he told us the restaurant only carried juices. Then, upon asking a different server, she very nicely informed us that you also carry sodas and other beverages.
Maybe it was just and off day! Overall, great food, good times. Would definitely come back and recommend.
Everything was great the food and the service
The manager Pedro was rude and condescending. He ruined what would have be a joyful night. he was incredible inflexible and showed modest if any hospitality.
We enjoyed everything from the crab cakes appetizer to the onion soup, chicken, and apple tart for dessert. Our server did an excellent and the manager was fantastic.
The beef bourgeois meat was tough but tasty.
The Manager is always at the restaurant. He greets you and makes you feel welcome. This is old fashion customer appreciation and personal service. Best French Food in town!
