My husband and I celebrated our 29th anniversary at the new Touche French Creole in downtown Aurora today, and it was incredible! The food was absolutely amazing—easily one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time! We shared the crab cake and jambalaya maison to start, and they were both perfection—flavorful, beautifully seasoned, and simply delicious. I had the Hurri’kane cocktail, which made me feel like I was relaxing in the tropics, while my husband enjoyed a Salted Caramel Espresso Martini (and I’m usually not an espresso martini fan, but this one was delicious!). For entrees, I had the shrimp and grits, and wow—those grits were creamy and buttery, and the shrimp were seasoned and grilled to perfection. My husband ordered the catfish and jambalaya, which was seasoned perfectly and cooked beautifully. The portion was generous without being overwhelming—so good he practically licked the plate clean! We ended the night sharing beignets with praline sauce. Oh. My. Goodness. They melted in our mouths and were the perfect sweet ending to a perfect meal. The service was equally outstanding. Our bartender, who was also our server, was amazing—so attentive to every detail. Other servers even checked in on us throughout the night. When our server learned we were celebrating our anniversary, he brought out Chef Rayshawn, who came from Bolingbrook, IL. We applauded him on his incredible food and wished him and his partner the best of luck with their restaurant. We left feeling appreciated, celebrated, and already planning our next visit.

We arrived 15 minutes early for our reservation and were told we could wait at the bar. We sat down and looked at the menu. Over 10 minutes went by before anyone greeted us or asked if we’d like to order a drink. As our drinks were being made the hostess let us know our table was ready, we explained we would pay for drinks and then walk to the table. The bartender told us the bill was not ready, but that we could pay at the table. We sat down at our table and for over 20 minutes we sat and waited. Then the bartender came over with our drink check and set it down, telling us we could settle that bill with our server after we ate. Another 15 minutes went by and we decided we would eat dinner elsewhere. We left cash for our drink tab and as we walked out the hostess said “have a good night” as if she didn’t even realize she had just seated us. There were plenty of workers bussing tables and servers, but it seemed no one wanted to be our server. There were open tables so it was not a dinner rush.

We were a party of ten, the service, the food, the drinks were all superb. Chefs kiss to the cooks and our bartender Frank! Highly highly recommend, cannot wait to go back!

A gem in Aurora- great food and service. I had the gumbo and frisée salad and spouse had the catfish. Both were delicious as were the cocktails. We will definitely be back!

Food was prepared with authentic NOLA flare! Food was fresh, service was friendly and wait was not long! Highly recommend this spot.

We were so impressed to try Touche the first time with out of state guests in June that we had our best friends meet us there tonight. Each of us ordered a different dish and everybody LIVED their food! The Salmon was excellent and I stole half of his spinach! My Blackened Airline Chicken was amazing! Our friends had the Smash-burger and the Steak Frites. Wonderful! We also had amazing cocktails. This is our new favorite place to eat! And Dennae and Dena were both wonderful servers on our two visits.

Third visit. Touché continues to raise the bar for fine dining. Our waiter Marco was delightful. The salmon, catfish, fried green tomatoes and beignets were 5-star. Midnight Brew is my new favorite cocktail.
