Totopos is the beginning of a dream, of a new adventure we bring to Cary, North Carolina. Our restaurant can be described as the culmination of a long-inspired project.

Amazing as always! Food is always fantastic and the service is even better! Everyone is always so kind and welcoming.
Early Mother’s Day dinner and it was *packed*. Very glad to have booked ahead using Open Table. Food was great. Service was great. Our table was below a air duct and our kids were cold but did little to ruin the occasion. My wife was thrilled.
I ordered the special of the night..a burrito stuffed with several ingredients. The staff was very welcoming, professional and knowledgeable. But, when I received this 'so-called, 'special' it wasn't fresh and it was cold because they said, the special was fresh and it wasn't. We are it, but I wouldn't go back there again. But, they have ALL THE TEQUILAS YOU CAN IMAGINE.
Great food, very loud - multiple birthday parties were held but it’s great for a fun night out
Good for any occasion.
This place is awesome.... One of my favorite Cary restaurants.
We love Totopos! The food is amazing. Like someone's grandmother or mother is in the kitchen making it! Their margaritas are amazing and fun! The staff is always friendly and the atmosphere is bright and fun. Great for date night OR with the whole family.
One of the most authentic Mexican restaurants in the Triangle, in my opinion. Extensive tequila menu, fresh, made-from-scratch EVERYTHING, even bar ingredients when possible.
Took my friend here for a birthday brunch. The food was super tasty and came out quickly, and the staff was very friendly!
The food was excellent and Jordan took great care of us. He had good recommendations and kept drinks full, checked on us for anything we might need regularly.
Delicious food. Amazingly fresh. Service was excellent.
Overall the food is very good and the presentation is also very good.
The noise level was quite high, making it difficult to conduct a conversation.
Great experience! We had a work meeting and they had it all set up for us when we arrived. Will come again!
Our waitress, Sylvia, was attentive and friendly. Food was delicious, and the dessert was a magical concoction of fried sugary plantain with an ice cream moat around it—wow. More please!
Service was superb. They accommodated our party of 12 very well. Food was delicious.
Food was good, but not outstanding for the cost. I wouldn't recommend what I had ordered, but I didn't hear any complaints from the rest of the party (5 family members).
The place wasn't busy, which makes me wonder why they don't seat people until at least half the party has arrived.
Food and atmosphere was great.. Service was super slow and I didnt even get a drink refill. Would only recommend if you have PLENTY of time and you aren't hungry or thirsty. If you get the server I had, it will be a while before eating or getting your drink.
The food and drinks were great, the service was not the best. Felt like we were a bother to the waiter. This is the second time I've felt that way while visiting, otherwise I wouldn't have mentioned it.
I loved their ginger lime margarita and their steak asada platter was fantastic. The steak was cooked perfectly. On a previous visit I had their nachos... sooo good. The food keeps us coming back.
Menu is not your typical Mexican fare. Food is prepared freshly and perfectly seasoned. The margaritas are superb and the tequila brand selection is wide. I have never had a bad meal and always bring out of town guests here knowing I can count on the quality. The restaurant atmosphere is warm and entertaining with an accommodating staff like no other. This is high on my list of favorite local restaurants.
Food was lacking in salt but overall okay experience.
The food and drinks were excellent . Server was very friendly and knowledgeable, but the food came out slower than it should have. The restaurant is a bit noisy, at times hard to hear my dinner mates. It was cold where we sat; the air conditioning came on full force(twice) and made it very cold and we all had to put on our coats, but the waitress spoke to someone and it became less cold each time.
Food was excellent! Good service, great atmosphere, can’t wait to return.
Still my favorite place! The food is tasty and fresh.
Great food and service as usual. Would it kill them to put salt and pepper on the tables ???
Our server was great, and we enjoyed the Plato Gordo!
would be nice if they would offer smaller portions. The tacos are very good! love the atmosphere
We enjoy the food and service there, but twice we booked thru Open Table and requested a table and both tines they didn’t reed the special request.
Food, service, decor, vibe - the whole enchilada !!! Totopos nails it!
Been here several times. Never a bad meal! Food, service and ambience are always consistently excellent.
My entree was served cool-to-lukewarm, which is concerning from a health/safety viewpoint and disappointing from culinary viewpoint. The chili relleno was completely stuffed with huge mass of chicken and not tasty or appetizing. The beans and rice were quite good, considering they were cold. The complementary chips and salsa were fine/average, but again, cold.
The waiter came by and asked if I was still “working on” my meal, which should have been obvious since I was cutting something on my plate at the time and the plate was still full of food. I replied, “Yes.” And he swept the plate away to the kitchen. Okay, I stand corrected, I was no longer “working on” that meal.
The entire experience felt like no one in the restaurant really cared about their job. Mediocre food, mediocre drinks (although quite pretty), mediocre service...
My husband quite liked his chicken tacos and would visit this restaurant again. I would not.
Overpriced and food was mediocre.
Service by Rico was stellar. Food delicious and gluten free menu is great!
Great restaurant for Mexican food! Its definitely a step up from the typical restaurant with combination plates and the Speedy Gonzalez.
Everything from the drinks to the server to the food was top notch. Glad I had a reservation as they were busy!
Really good food. We had the veggie street taco and the fish tqco(salmon) . Both were great.
Great blood orange margarita! Food was just ok
We tried this place for restaurant week and were not disappointed at all. The menu was smaller than most Mexican restaurants, but that was Ok-it was easier to make a choice. They have the best salsa! Loved the esquites (Mexican street corn) and shrimp ceviche. Hubs had tacos so pastor which was excellent too. We shared the churros for dessert. They were the best we've had since being in Mexico. We certainly will return and bring friends.
First time visit. Outstanding food. Great service. Loved the tequila choices. Definitely going back.
The food was outstanding. The blending of ingredients was expertly crafted. Service was very good, attentive and warm. Best salsa in the area!
