Toscanova, the elegant Italian Trattoria named after its celebrated executive chef partner Agostino Sciandri, is one of the latest additions to grace the enclave restaurants in Century City. Satiating the palate is an unusual and enticing variety of pasta dishes, seafood and steaks, Spaghetti allo Scoglio, and Risotto Ai Funghi. Following the success of Century City, Chef Agostino Sciandri is introducing the flavors of Tuscany to Calabasas, opening April 2012.

Toscanova Ratings and Reviews
The service from the waiter was awful. We were sited but were never acknowledged by the waiter. I had to raise my hand and asked who was our waiter as I’m accustomed to have a waiter introduce himself in a 4-5 start restaurant. He had a really stuck up attitude and said in a very sarcastic manner “I am”. Really rude arttitide and not professional at all, all night he ignored me and would only acknowledge my wife! Very childish... would never come back here nor recommmen to anyone.
The waiter was so busy , after we placed our order 35 minutes later he came back and told us one of our dishes is no longer available , we were 4ppl . We were sitting outside and we asked him to turn the heater on , he was annoyed ... we asked him again , he finally did it with an attitude . We will not go back.
The worst dining experience we have had in years if not ever! We arrived on time for our open table reservation and after 15 minutes wait we were seated out side, which was fine. It took 20 minutes for someone to offer us water. We ordered our drinks at the same time and my husband was served the wrong tequila. The waiter apologized saying that the bar was shorthanded and making a lot of mistakes. We , ordered appetizers, and nearly 25 minutes later received the appetizers along with our first course all at the same time. We asked them to take back the first course so we could enjoy the appetizers. When our soup and salads were brought out we had to ask for silverware. As for dinner, my husband seafood pasta came out with a fishy smell and my lasagna was not quite hot. The manager and waiter came over to apologize profusely, again, explaining how they were shorthanded and the manager offered to take 30% off of our bill and offered free coffee. Really?? We won't be back!
The food selections were quite good. Inspired by the menu I ordered the risotto with scallops and zafferano while my friend ordered the pappardelle al cinghiale. The pappardelle were excellent, the pasta texture made it feel home made an 8/10 score. The risotto's taste was excellent, alas it was way past being al dente, and in fact way too cooked. I had high hopes on that. This said as I brought up the point, the waiter immediately asked me for whatever else I wanted. It was replaced with apologies. That prompt response and attention made up for the disappointment. I am always i search for a place that can have risotto done right. Only a few places deliver the right stuff.
In the overall a good experience. Go give it a go. Ext time u r around century city
Service was ok but The food was terrible. The chicken dish I had was overcooked and looked thrown onto the plate
The roasted potatoes looked and tasted like tater tots. I did not want to make my date feel uncomfortable or I would have sent it back. I would not eat here again
My husband asked the waiter to split the bill for us into two bills at the time we ordered. (We were with another couple.) The waiter said he would do it at the end. My husband said "okay." At the end of the meal he hands us one bill. My husband said hehad asked for two separate bills. The waiter refused to split the bill for us and had a lame excuse that it had to do with the time stamp, but he was just too lazy to do it. My husband told the owner and the owner apologized and said he would speak to the waiter. However, now my husband insists that he will never go back there.
This is one of my favorite restaurants to meet for a business lunch. Service and food are consistently excellent, with food options for everyone. My personal go to dish is the saladata de mare; delicately seasoned and generously portioned seafood on a bed of frisee. The setting is light and airy with an outdoor patio option. You'll feel like you escaped and treated yourself at Toscanova!
Nice ambiance but slow service paired with mediocre food. We started with a salad - tri colore so you can't go too wrong with that. The portion was a good size. We had a special of a squid ink pasta with lobster. The lobster portion was fine but the noodles and sauce had a strange flavor. We also ordered a white fish - decent sized portion. The flavor was ok, but nothing to write home about. The waiter was friendly enough but he seemed to be the only one working a large section. When the fish came out and was brought to our table by someone, he had to track the waiter down to de-bone it. It sat there for a few minutes and then they had a discussion first. There were no refills on water unless we asked after glasses sat empty - I had to flag them down to get another glass of wine.
The location is convenient in Century City but next time I will go to Obica instead.
The menu had some delicious looking items. The bread and salad were very good. I ordered a seafood pasta. The pasta was a little on the chewy side and the seafood a bit overcooked and rubbery tasting. The guests I dined with did not particularly enjoy their entrées either. The dessert was delicious.
Toscanova is within walking distance of my office and one of my favorite choices for small lunch meetings. The ambiance is relaxed and conversation is easily engaged without difficulty. The menu offers choices for everyone, so I never worry about guests with food restrictions. My personal favorite is the Insalata de Mare; a bed of frisee lettuce covered with an assortment of delicate morsels of shrimp, squid and mussels. Equally as delicious is the chicken paillard; a thinly pounded and seasoned breast piled with spinach. Appearing a bit like a pizza on arrival at your table.
Service is excellent and staff is always very attentive. If you can get a seat on the front patio, you'll feel like you are on vacation while having your meal.
This is a local restaurant for us. Food is consistently good and service is attentive. They are flexible with changes to their menu and concerned that the food has been well prepared to your liking.
The outdoor patio has a good ambience and is very pleasant for dining.
