Service and food were both very mediocre. Expected a lot more from a restaurant of this caliber. Food did not taste good, dessert was mushy and flavorless.
Loved Phillipe! He was a great waiter!
Nice ambience and nice outdoor dining. However, the prices were surprisingly high for a seemingly casual restaurant. Some dishes were in the $50 range, which in my opinion is not acceptable for such a restaurant. Hence the low ranking for value.
We had an amazing server, food was excellent and we sat by the fire pit so it was perfect
Very nice, Mgr very helpful with suggestion of wine.
As far as waiter, not a good fit for this restaurant, lacked
personality, slow, not on top of things...prefer Italian waiter
Food very good
Great setting, great food and service. Very nice restaurant.
A reliable Italian restaurant. Bronzino is my favorite. Serves Pizza as well.
Great local spot. Comfortable, friendly and cozy. Great wait staff. Food is always reliably very good to excellent. WARNING: If you want their chicken it takes 20-25 minutes. I'v'e never waited, so don't know if it is worth the wait. Wonder if you could call in an order that before you arrive.
Wonderful food and service. Always a pleasure to eat there. Very vibrant- great atmosphere too.
VERY noisy, very rushed service and super loud, I would be hard press to go back.
We had a wonderful time at lunch. We normally dine here for dinner which can be noisy. This was lovely; food and service perfect. Our guests had not been before and were very pleased.
Food is always good but a bit pricey - and the noise level at times can be very disturbing. And even with reservations you have to wait for a table....
Got there on time. Sat at Bar to be seated. After 15 min we were seated in the middle where it seemed they just added a table right in traffic. A bit awakward but it is what it is. Food was great.
Enjoyed the mussels as a quick entree before my movie. I would definitely go back for a more relaxing meal. The place has good energy. The heated outdoor patio was nice - the hostess suggested that it would be quieter.
Accomodated out group of 14
Great service overall we all had a good time
Toscanova is our favorite Calabasas restaurant - Service is gracious, excellent, and fun and they make every effort to make the evening so enjoyable - food consistently good -- only "issue" is the loud noise level inside but that's a problem with most restaurants these days it seems -
Would never go back. Way way to noisy, tables way to close to each other. We could not even have a conversation because of the noise level.
Food was expensive but good.
It was not dining, it was a screaming match.
So loud you couldn’t hear yourself
Think. Server apologized for the overwhelming noise. Would never go back.
Limited menu without ability to order regular items, and out of champagne selection. Long wait for food as it was Valentine’s Day. They did their best but probably would have skipped it or ate in bar.
Festive atmosphere, friendly staff, tasty food. Fresh salad ingredients, fish perfectly done, nice wine recommendation from waitress.
Enjoyable lunch on Valentine’s Day. Pasta special was excellent
Toscanova is our local go-to restaurant. We take out our older neighbor, so we ask for and get a quiet table. The food is first-rate, and although they have a lively bar and main restaurant area, they have an outdoor area that is more private. They are always friendly and professional, and the food is Italian, not some Americanized, watered-down copy. Really enjoy this restaurant.
Love the food... always so good!
This was our first time dining at Toscanova Calabasas. We had a close friend moving to a different date and came here to bid our farewells and have some good Italian food. We enjoyed the fact that it seems authentic Italian from the manager, hostess, and waiter. That was the only good thing we can say. Service was dreadful. We were seated as a party of 3 waiting on our friend. Once our friend arrived we placed our order and had some salads and wine. My friends beer took over 12 minutes to arrive, I had to stand up and ask the hostess to check on the beer. My friend joked if it takes 15 minutes to get a beer he might as well order 2 to not wait. The restaurant was relatively empty for how slow things were taking. After the beer came the server apologized and said she forgot to check the bar. We received our salads that were not the best but not terrible, they were edible. We also sat with empty waters throughout our meal. The bus boy and food runner were more friendly and attentive than our server was. Our server checked on us after we were almost completely done with our entrees. My friend wanted another beer with his meal and of course had to wait another 20minutes to get it after we were completely done. We should not have to track our server down. After I payed, the server came to take her payed bill while we were still drinking our coffee and interrupting our farewells. To think I cancelled my reservation at King’s to come check this place out. This was not a cheap lunch. $140 lunch for 3 before tip. For the price of this meal I would have expected much better service. I am not posting this review as I know it is detrimental to any business success but I am extremely upset with our experience. I contacted the restaurant and they completely disregarded my issues.
Great meal, excellent service and a good vibe.
What more do you want.
Always great service and food. I usually eat at the Toscanova in Century City, but the Calabasas restaurant is great as well. Fresh food, super service and we always feel welcome. Thank you.
Great food and unreal service!
Noisy, food wasn't that great. Super expensive for sub-par Italian.
We eat at Toscanova frequently. The food and service are consistently good. The noise level is excessive and we always have trouble communicating with the people we are with. It seems to be a trade off. If you want to have the good food and service you have to put up with the loud noisy surroundings.
I eat here frequently. Usually lunch with a girlfriend. Service is always excellent. The waiters are friendly and knowledgeable. The food is always tasty. The bar is good for happy hour. The happy hour menu has a nice selection. I would recommend this place to anyone.
My husband and I went there for a casual dinner. This was our first time visiting Toscanova. We loved the ambiance and the homemade pasta dishes. Our waiter was personable and gave us great service. We will definitely be coming back!
I've been here several times and can typically count on the food, drinks and service being good. But this visit I was told their current policy is they would not seat two of us until our third member arrived, despite the fact that I had a reservation. I did not see the necessity of standing by the front door for 15 minutes when the bar was full and they had a few empty tables. Won't be back for a while.
Great ambiance. But had to wait 20+ minutes even with reservation.
The food was really good! The waiters were all very kind and attentive. We went for New Years and they dressed the place up beautifully!
Our very best neighborhood place. The atmosphere wonderful. The food is delicious and the service great
Hostess sat us outside in the cold 15 mins late after our reservation. Unacceptable and wouldn’t give us one inside even tho we had a reservation
Shrimp and asparagus risotto had no flavor whatsoever. $15 drinks a bit pricey for nothing special.
Fantastic service and great food. The manager is top notch!!!
