Love sitting outside and love the mushroom pasta!!! It got a little cold and it was nice
that the heaters were put on when we asked for them. I'm always excited when I know I'm going to be there.
We had a good table tucked into a corner which allowed us to be away from most of the noise. Our waiter was ok; nothing special but we enjoyed a nice bottle of wine and very decent dinners. We would go back again.
Went for Mother’s Day dinner, food was good, obviously very busy, they were short waiters, so maitre d had to take order and serve, which was very slow, for drinks etc., and very expensive for 8 , bill was $700, and 4 people didn’t have alcohol. Ambiance is nice when not as busy.
Mother’s Day is a challenge to eat out. We chose this restaurant and had an early reservation. They sat us only 10 minutes late which was pretty good. We asked for a quiet patio table and they accommodated. Being older we usually share dinners. We opted for a salad and pizza. I had a glass of wine. The food, service, and ambiance was good. A very pleasant experience .
the service was very bed
we didn't get what we asked for
We really like this place... and have dined here often especially in spring/summer sitting outdoors. And really like happy hour here or sitting /dining at the bar. The owners/ managers always give us a good table and are attentive... Dined here for brunch on Mother's Day... was astounded at how high the prices have gone up. Bill for three of us with tip was $148.. this included an eggs dish ($15), personal pizza ($25), and spaghetti with shrimp ($30), tow cocktails ($28) and three coffees - no dessert. Also on the menu was a Chilean Sea Bass dish for $52 and a veal dish for $48 ... this was lunch/brunch! Nothing special.
Now I realize restaurants have taken a hit due to minimum wage laws and it is sadly inhibiting dining out for me... and here is an example. I hope they figure it out... Not too quick to return.
Mothers Day. It was very busy, but the Matire De was insulting when we arrived on time and told us we didn't keep our reservation because two of our party of four was late due to traffic. Ultimately were given a nice table and had an enjoyable time with good service and excellent food. But he was insulting!
Great branzino special. Highly recommend!
Terrible service. 30 minutes to have a waiter show up. They forgot 2 of our items and had to rush them after everyone was served. Half the food we did get was lukewarm - looks like half was ready first and sat there. Were dying of thirst as neither waitress nor busy boys showed up to replenish water for the table. All in all miserable experience.
Toscanova has a lovely outdoor patio that is quieter than the interior. There was a band playing music on the patio making it a very nice dining setting. I ordered the seafood pasta special. It was just fair. The seafood was mostly shredded and small pieces pieces of fish with some clams and mussels in shells. Nothing special and way too much garlic. My friend ordered the seared whitefish. She said it was good. We shared a fruit tart with berries for dessert. It was good. The service was good although our waitress had an edge. I would try this restaurant again because the setting was so nice, but would be hoping for great meals.
Have been here several times. Have always left feeling the meal was just soso.
Pasta needed more sauce, Caesar salal was below average. They seem to do better with meat .
Great ambiance and service ! Fun night
The food was good they do not have a good selection of wines by the glass but found a nice Tuscan wine.
The room is nice but noisy which required that I lean in to hear.
Overall the dinner was good and I would recommend going there for Italian food.
Antonio and Antonella are the best!
Sat @ the bar.... took a long while for lady bartender even yo say hi! Food was just awful. Been there a few times. Never will I go again. Very disappointed. Sorry
Service and food were both very mediocre. Expected a lot more from a restaurant of this caliber. Food did not taste good, dessert was mushy and flavorless.
Loved Phillipe! He was a great waiter!
Nice ambience and nice outdoor dining. However, the prices were surprisingly high for a seemingly casual restaurant. Some dishes were in the $50 range, which in my opinion is not acceptable for such a restaurant. Hence the low ranking for value.
We had an amazing server, food was excellent and we sat by the fire pit so it was perfect
Very nice, Mgr very helpful with suggestion of wine.
As far as waiter, not a good fit for this restaurant, lacked
personality, slow, not on top of things...prefer Italian waiter
Food very good
Great setting, great food and service. Very nice restaurant.
A reliable Italian restaurant. Bronzino is my favorite. Serves Pizza as well.
Great local spot. Comfortable, friendly and cozy. Great wait staff. Food is always reliably very good to excellent. WARNING: If you want their chicken it takes 20-25 minutes. I'v'e never waited, so don't know if it is worth the wait. Wonder if you could call in an order that before you arrive.
Wonderful food and service. Always a pleasure to eat there. Very vibrant- great atmosphere too.
VERY noisy, very rushed service and super loud, I would be hard press to go back.
We had a wonderful time at lunch. We normally dine here for dinner which can be noisy. This was lovely; food and service perfect. Our guests had not been before and were very pleased.
Food is always good but a bit pricey - and the noise level at times can be very disturbing. And even with reservations you have to wait for a table....
Got there on time. Sat at Bar to be seated. After 15 min we were seated in the middle where it seemed they just added a table right in traffic. A bit awakward but it is what it is. Food was great.
Enjoyed the mussels as a quick entree before my movie. I would definitely go back for a more relaxing meal. The place has good energy. The heated outdoor patio was nice - the hostess suggested that it would be quieter.
Accomodated out group of 14
Great service overall we all had a good time
Toscanova is our favorite Calabasas restaurant - Service is gracious, excellent, and fun and they make every effort to make the evening so enjoyable - food consistently good -- only "issue" is the loud noise level inside but that's a problem with most restaurants these days it seems -
Would never go back. Way way to noisy, tables way to close to each other. We could not even have a conversation because of the noise level.
Food was expensive but good.
It was not dining, it was a screaming match.
So loud you couldn’t hear yourself
Think. Server apologized for the overwhelming noise. Would never go back.
Limited menu without ability to order regular items, and out of champagne selection. Long wait for food as it was Valentine’s Day. They did their best but probably would have skipped it or ate in bar.
Festive atmosphere, friendly staff, tasty food. Fresh salad ingredients, fish perfectly done, nice wine recommendation from waitress.
Enjoyable lunch on Valentine’s Day. Pasta special was excellent
Toscanova is our local go-to restaurant. We take out our older neighbor, so we ask for and get a quiet table. The food is first-rate, and although they have a lively bar and main restaurant area, they have an outdoor area that is more private. They are always friendly and professional, and the food is Italian, not some Americanized, watered-down copy. Really enjoy this restaurant.
