   Delicious, authentic-feeling Italian for an evening out with family. My branzino was wonderfully sauced and cooked perfectly, my daughter's veal chop flavorful and tender, and my dining partners raved about their chicken dishes. I don't know if the zucchini fritti are authentically Tuscan, but who cares; they're a great shared appetizer. The bread pudding had that melt in your mouth quality that one looks for. I believe I've read that they're under new ownership and if I have a quibble, it's with the much abbreviated wine list. But it contained a few fine choices and was reasonably priced. The service was especially wonderful. The first bottle of wine I tasted seemed a bit off to me and my wife, although not undrinkable, and they replaced it without questioning us. The second bottle did the trick. That's not exceptional service, but it is good quality service. Where they went beyond was when they brought my branzino and my wife and I both exclaimed that it was not the dish I had ordered; there were items on the plate that I don't ever eat. I asked to look at the menu and after I did I realized that it was. I had ordered incorrectly. Despite my acknowledgment that it had been my mistake, they offered to replace it. That's service that's over and above. BTW, I chose to keep the original, asking them to replate it without the unwanted items and, as I said, it was delicious. All in all, a delicious and lovely evening.

   Living on the other side of the county, we don't get over to Eastchester very often. I happened to find Toscana on Main on HVRW, and decided to give it a try. Our meal was excellent - most tender eggplant rollatini and meatballs, rigatoni bolognese and crusted seabass, chocolate cake and affogato for dessert. We also had a wonderful Montepulciano. We'll definitely return - it's a gem!

   The food was very good, tasty, and nicely presented. Cocktails and wine were good. Pacing was not, and we waited a very long time for our entrees and did not receive our dessert, although we were also therefore not charged for the dessert which we appreciated.

   We are long time patrons and love the food and welcoming staff. The new management has preserved that. Some remodeling has brought an attractive contemporary vibe to the dining room but a somewhat elevated noise level that could be dampened. My veal chop was tender, flavorful and cooked to perfection as was my wife’s branzino. Toscana continues to be a favorite for us.

   Third time we have eaten at Toscana and each time I visit I love their food more than before They are so accommodating and always ready to go out of their way when asked for special preparation the wait staff are so pleasant and efficient A new favorite for us
