   The most overpriced buffet I have ever had. Poor selection of food. The breakfast part looked good, but I got the prime rib and there weren’t any vegetables. Only salads. Paid $65 for a slice of prime rib and some breakfast potatoes with a salad. Won’t be going back next year!!!

   Food was great, but since there was not a dedicated room large enough to hold the brunch in, elements like the carving table and desserts were located across the lobby and we never knew they were there. Maybe next year, use some of the bar area for brunch stations instead. Service was a little spotty, though the dining area was never busy enough to say that heavy traffic was holding up waiters and waitresses. The food though was great, and everyone was friendly. Fresh shrimp and the omelette bar were a hit!

   I’ve experienced several good dinners at Toscana in the past, but breakfast for Mother’s Day was completely disappointing. The Eggs Benedict (both the traditional and the caprese) was totally bland—complete lack of seasoning. The caprese was supposed to come with fresh basil, but only after being served and asking why it was missing were we informed that they didn’t have any fresh basil. Meanwhile, the staff was very slow and inattentive. They seemed to be distracted preparing a delicious-looking spread for a different event in the hotel lobby. For $100, I would expect a breakfast that didn’t seem like IHOP-level catering in a pretty setting. This was not the Toscana experience I’ve had in the past, and I’m not planning on being back any time soon.

   First time visit for my 34th birthday. I had high expectations given the vibe and price. Unfortunately, the stellar service by Evelyn and classy Frank Sinatra tunes didn’t save the blunders from the kitchen. My petite filet mignon was medium-well instead of medium-rare, took forever for not being that busy, and the Cacio e Pepe I ordered to make up for the steak was not up to snuff, either. The noodles were undercooked and the sauce was bland and watery. Also, my server said I could sub mash for the mushroom risotto (which was the only noteworthy dish!) but I still got charged for a full side, so I got snubbed my full value. Thankfully the Zeppoles were phenomenal and it salvaged a mostly-sunken ship of a fine-dining experience. Way overpriced for the flavor. I’m usually not disappointed but this kitchen was a flop.

A guest should never leave feeling undervalued, especially on a celebratory night.    Wow!! From the moment we got there til we left we had the best service and felt so at home. The atmosphere was very intimate but not so much that we felt out of place. Our waitress was on top of things. The drinks were perfect and the food was out of this world. Hands down the best restaurant in Amarillo serving up some delicious meals. I can’t wait to go back and try more entrees! You won’t be disappointed one bit!
