Service was great. Decor is a little dated.
It was so nice to be back at Tosca. One of the best Italian Restaurants in Washington DC. Great service, good food and finally more tables taken. I hope it will be back to the good old days soon!
Fantastic food, wine list, and wonderful staff, loved it so much we went back 2 nights running, both wonderful experiences
Always the best. Never had a bad meal. This night, however, it was even more exceptional.
Excellent- Mille grazie 😊
People need to go back out to their favored restaurants. Tosca deserves more clients. Such an amazing place!!
Excellent service, excellent food.
Terrific lunch - wonderful service - beautiful presentation - attentive staff - thank you!!
Superb date-night dinner before the theater. Wonderful, attentive service - careful without being obtrusive. Excellent menu and excellent advice from the waitstaff on selections and wine. We will go back to Tosca!
The service and food is extraordinary moreover they will willingly create a special meal if you simply request it. This is one of my go to business restaurants in DC
Paolo greeted us at the door graciously. Angela was a wonderful waitress. John gave us great recs on Wine. A wonderful dining experience from top to bottom.
Splendid experience. High level Italian restaurant.
Tosca amazes every time. Food and service are just spectacular. Cant wait to return....
Tosca is a reliable choice for a great meal and the ability to have a quiet conversation. The service is also top-notch. This visit, I enjoyed the branzino crudo and cavatelli with a rustic lamb ragu--both fantastic! The wine list is also noteworthy for some reasonably-priced wines with lots of character.
Food and ambience excellent.
Servings a bit on the small size.
Service very good although a bit over zealous in clearing table before dinner plate
was finished
Food was excellent and a bit different which was nice. Service was impeccable
Came for pre theatre and everyone
Thought food was good. I asked
Waiter if music could be turned down
As it was too loud. He did so, which was good. I think another dessert
Should be added beside two gelatos
And Tiramisu....they need something
Else more interesting.
If you love pasta this is your place absolutely fantastic!
when my office was nearby Tosca was my hands down favorite. It was great to have a revisit. The food was superb (my swordfish was perfectly prepared) , the service likewise.
Excellent waiter! Nice pasta’s, albeit somewhat pricey.
Recommended.
Food was great and the service was extremely efficient. Server tried to please out table in every way. My guests complimented me on my restaurant choice.
Tosca always delivers. Amazing food and best in class service. The home made pastas are as good as anything in Italy.
The food was delicious, but our server was a bit impatient and had an attitude.
Also, we didn't appreciate attempting to seat us at the worst table when a number of good tables were available (we had a reservation)
Our food was excellent and our waiter, Omar was the best we have EVER had! The restaurant was highly recommended by a friend and did not disappoint.
What a fantastic time! We went for the Valentines Day special menu and it was incredible. The service is fantastic - professional and attentive. But wow was the food exceptional.
Creative italian cuisine with impeccable service. Some star sightings—Washington style and the slow pace made for a memorable evening.
Celebrating VD at Tosca was so special this year.
The chef prepared a 4 course feast beyond.
Would highly recommend as one of the best
Italian restaurants currently in DC.
Quiet and nice.
Delicious food. Totally enjoyed everything. A perfect pre-valentine dinner.
My husband and I had tickets to a play at National Theater and decided to have dinner at Tosca before the show. We were very pleased with the choice. The ambiance is very pleasant and comfortable - not frenzied like so many restaurants these days - so it was a relaxing experience, and we could easily have a conversation without shouting. The service was outstanding — friendly, helpful, and attentive, without being intrusive. The delivery of the courses was timed well, so that we were able to comfortably finish our meal without feeling rushed. We both had the 3 course pre-theater diner. The food was delicious and attractively presented. The grilled barramundi we had for the main course was particularly nice - grilled to perfection and served over a bed of vegetables. It was filling, but did not leave us feeling stuffed. Prices are a bit on the steep side, but we felt the pre-theater dinner was very good value for the meal we had.
Consistently some of the best food in DC. Service is friendly and efficient
Absolutely the the best “adult” restaurant in DC. Beautiful quiet place with great food and unsurpassed service.
Always first rate. Never disappoints.
Love this restaurant! It had been awhile since I had been and I don’t know why it took me so long to go back. The food, and our server was spectacular, truly amazing! See you soon!
It was a great experience loved the appetizer, salad pasta & the fish .. i would go back again
A classy downtown restaurant just two blocks from Ford's Theatre, serving three-course early bird dinners at 5 pm, allowing diners to easily finish by 7 pm, and take a five minute walk to Ford's Theatre, arriving at 7:10, easily making the 7:30 performance. Use valet parking, but when you leave the restaurant, do not retrieve your car. Instead, retrieve your car at 10 pm, after walking back from the theatre. So, just ONE parking fee all evening, instead of two. A no-brainer - unless it is raining, of course.
Only downside. Average first and third course. Very good entree. But worth the $45 for three courses. Especially if looking for a convenient, upscale dining destination near Ford's.
We had a wonderful experience. Our server was very knowledgeable with regard to wines and the menu. The atmosphere was nice.
The grilled king salmon was exceptional. I can’t remember a better cooked piece of fish.
Tosca has it all: consistently great food. Excellent Italian wine list. Superb service.
Branzino was delicious. Wine choices excellent. Great service!
