Pricey, but not overpriced, considering the impeccable service, and excellent food.
Very good Italian restaurant with excellent service and a nice ambiance.
Friendly good food and excellent service
Very accommodating to our special requests
Food, wine and service...Fantastic
High end Italian, but well worth it both in terms of food and service quality. Perhaps best pappardelle ever. Many pasta and meat and always fish choices. Wait staff has excellent knowledge and training. Relax, enjoy.
One of my favorite DC venues —always delicious and excellent service .
Perfect pre or Post theater as it is close to Ford’s, Warner and the National Theater .
Butter sage ravioli is amazing !!
Food was great. Service a little slow. But fun night.
Tosca's has changed for the better since my last visit in 2017. No more rude Maitre d', no more mediocre pre- theater dinner. The menu is classy and the well served. My only complaint is the lighting. It is not low and romantic; it is not bright and cheerful. It is simply dull even after the renovation.
Great dining experience. Food was wonderful! Service excellent!
Delicious Italian dishes and sauce flavors. Excellent service and nice quiet ambiance. Very good value for excellent food.
Great elegant service with personable waiters who make you feel comfortable. Excellent meal choices with knowledgable staff.. Great wine list with lovely port selection.
Delicious meal filled with interesting specials only surpassed by the wonderful service. Looking forward to next time.
Consistently good food. I go there fairly often for lunch for special occasions, but had never been with my husband. He really enjoyed the Fois Gras and pastas.
The tiramisu is ok. It has changed over the years (was off the menu for a bit). The new version is not as good as the previous one. We felt this one has too much liquid.
Outstanding food and service. Great place to celebrate all occasions.
Fantastic food and service! Excellent expedience albeit pricey.
Food was delicious but not really worth it, IMO. Brussel sprouts for app, two drinks and two pasta entrees for $160 w/ tip.
Well, while the food is impeccable and creative, the hospitality is just as amazing. Giovanni (GM), Ricardo, executive chef and Chris the sous chef gave us a memorable experience never to be forgotten. La Familia.
Delicious , service great, very expensive although portions are plentiful
We ate from a prix fix menu, 3 courses for $75, and it was all delicious and perfectly portioned. Service is always excellent and it’s quiet enough to hold a conversation even when the place is crowded
An oasis of serenity and superb cuisine!
The excellent Cuisine and the attentive staff made it a truly enjoyable evening
I’m Italian and live in DC, so far it’s the best italian restaurant I’ve tried. Might be overpriced (compared to Europe), but quality is great. The pasta is homemade and the sauce has excellent balance. Service is fast and attentive. Great wine selection for glasses.
Amazing experience and we all cannot wait to go back. There are so many restaurants and we hate to go somewhere twice, but this one is an exception to that rule!
Outstanding - over the top - quality with exceptional service; unbelievable menu with deep flavor and "wow" presentation.
Tosca never disappoints. This is the place for a great business lunch. Service is top notch and they keep things moving but at the same time don’t rush you at all. Plus the food is delicious. Bring your colleagues and clients here. They will be impressed. And you will be happy!
Chef Ricardo is serving risotto with black truffle and it is amazingly good. As is the foie gras which I hadn't had at Tosca in awhile, so many other wonderful choices. The place was packed and deservedly so. Service is great and the overall dining experience makes us keep coming back
Excellent food, interesting presentation, very good service, though not cheap.
one of the consistently best restaurants in DC. great for any occasion, business or personal.
I made a reservation for 10 people special occasion dinner. Our table was little tight right next to the entrance .Our server had a unpleasant face and not charming at all . He just doing his job with out asking anything. Seems like little rushed. We all did three course menu , never asked how was our meal or need something. Food was good .
Ever since coming to DC for business Tosca has been a 'must go' dinner venue. All I can say is it reminds me of my youth and adulthood growing up in NYC with the authenticity and quality. Giovanni the GM goes OUT OF HIS WAY to please his customers and the wait staff (Tino) NEVER made us feel rushed. I have experience in man Michelin starred restaurants where the wait staff makes you feel rushed. Here it was my table for the evening as long as I wanted it. The longer we stayed the more attentive they became, not less attentive. The menu is flawless and I've tried several different seasonal menus. Why flawless, because of the creativity of Ricardo and his staff. The blending of different ingredients that one may never imagine go together...its a party in your mouth. When I go to dinner I want to be wowed with something I never thought of doing or have had before. Tosca is more than dinner, it is a destination when in DC. Oh, and the wine list is the best Italian list in all of DC and probably the surrounding Maryland/Virginia area.
We went for pre theatre dinner again and loved it. Food is exceptional as well as the staff and ambiance. Highly recommend!
We always go to Tosca when we are in DC and this visit brought us there on Valentine's Day. Having always enjoyed the innovative dishes and great service we were totally unprepared for just how special the four course tasting menu would be. Each category had multiple selections which is something we had not seen in other places, the lamb loin entree was the best ever, the wait staff was even better than they always are which is superb and the bottle of wine we enjoyed was excellent. Thank you for another wonderful dining experience, Tosca! See you next time.
The attention was very nice, and the service was exellent
Tosca is the best Italian food in DC. As a matter fact it may be one of the best in the US. The service there is beyond impeccable. Every person in this restaurant from the minute you walk in the door to the waiters, the bus staff, food runners, and the chef make you feel special. Not to mention the sommelier Giovanni , he is awesome. They make every occasion special. Whether you are there for business, a date or even eating alone you will enjoy the food and the warm welcome and service and you will leave wanting to come back.
I hadn't been to Tosca for several years, but it was convenient to our meeting so I took my out-of-town colleagues there. It's a lovely dining room and quiet enough to talk easily. The service was impeccable, attentive without being intrusive. We all ordered fish which was prepared very well. I also enjoyed the prosciutto with burrata. The wine list had some wonderful expensive choices but also a delightful Rosso de Montepulcciano, which we enjoyed.
Tosca welcomed us, seated us in timely fashion, and then treated us to an excellent menu of cocktails, food and wine in a most comfortable setting. We thought the fish and homemade pastas stood out. In a word, everything we'd hoped for.
Tosca is always perfect.
This is such a wonderful restaurant !!!and the staff was so great.
Excellent service and outstanding food. We both had the Celery root soup as a starter. Very mild, but very good. Our main courses were Filetto and Costoletta di Vitello. Both were perfect.
Great ingredients and creative chefs made for a delicious meal and great pre theater experience. The service was exceptional. This restaurant continues to be at the top of the list for go to dining.
