Enjoyed another great meal at Tosca America. Great service and great value.
Overall was great. We loved the food, the environment was great. The only bad thing was our waitress, she was kind of rushing us to leave. I think her shift was about to end and she wanted for us to hurry up. She brought our ticket without even asking if we wanted something else. It was rude. I think she finally left and another lady brought us water and asked if we needed or wanted anything else.
We recommend the restaurant, food is delicious but hope you don't get the same waitress we got.
Terrible service. Place seemed in a disarray when we arrived.
Here is the list of issues that impacted our visit;
- Loud music playing which made it difficult to hear our party
- I had to to grab a high chair for my daughter as the hostess looked lost and abandoned us when we sat
- It took us 30+min just to get a menu
- We didn't realize bread was available (as we were starving) till we looked at other tables
- The waitress kept over talking to every party she had about her life
Only bright spot...the food was fresh and overall decent (way too much rosemary in one of our dishes)
Tosca is one of our favorite places to eat at. A dinner for 2 or Sunday bunch for the girls.
Really did not like the food. There are better choices near me for less money. Not what I expected.
Great restaurant for a date-night. Great selection of menu items, reasonably priced, and tasted great.
Our server was very attentive.
We made reservations for 7:00 on Valentine’s Day through Open Table. When we arrived, they didn’t have our reservation marked down. I showed my confirmation email, so she wrote my name down. We waited 15 minutes, watched the pure chaos because everyone in line had the same reservation time, and it was clear we wouldn’t be sitting down within the hour. Lots of upset people were sitting at tables without a waiter. All the restaurants who were honoring reservations were booked, so we went to a hole in the wall for dinner. I won’t make the same mistake again.
Our first visit to this restaurant and was recommended by regional newspaper. The food arrived late, the appetizers and dishes served were cold, the risotto had no flavor and it looked more like an oatmeal, the main dish was the only thing that could be appreciated to the palate and taste. The dessert was a small portion. We arrived at 7:00 p.m. and left almost at 10:00 p.m. I hope you prepare better for a next occasion in this type of events in which the client is demanding for the quality of the service he is paying. This is a constructive criticism of customers who frequent high quality culinary places.
Hope that they fix the food supply chain in the service.
This was our first, and probably last time to dine here. Reasons:
Seated at small table, looking into hallway to restrooms on one side,
and looking at kitchen door and sink in another direction.
First course, my food arrived 5 - 10 minutes before my wife’s.
Second course, also mine arrived before wife’s. Her food was cold.
At neighboring table, their dessert was brought out before their
Third course, finally came out at the same time. (Steaks)
Potatoes and spinach under the steak was warm. Food around corners
was cold. First time I have had a filet with gristle. Had to cut with
dinner knife. No steak knife provided.
Dessert - strawberry shortcake was edible. My wife got the smallest
slice of cheesecake I have ever seen. Should have been an
embarrassment to restaurant. And the consistency of the cheesecake
was not good, almost watery.
Summary - Restaurant bit off more than they could chew.
The size of the crowd overwhelmed them. Waitress worked hard,
so I did leave her a reasonable tip. But no tip for the restaurant.
Food was great, some was just a bit cold. I have been there several times and will go back again.
Best italian food we have had since we left New Year service was awesome
I’ve written a review rbefore . This is a great restaurant with a great ambience, wonderful food and warm friendly service
The food was very good. The portions were big. We would definitely come back again.
Loved the chef’s complimentary starter, eggplant roulade. Very conscientious and attentive service. House salad was a delicious combination of flavors.
Enjoyable dining experience.
Amazing flavor. Ask for something special, chef will try his best to make it for you.
After hearing good things about Tosca, I decided my birthday would be a good time to try it with the whole family. As it was just the day after New Years and very rainy, we were one of only two tables in the restaurant that night. The atmosphere , for being in a shopping strip, was very nice sans one thing, mounted TV’s at the top of the walls....really??? What seemed like a classy ‘bistro’ style setting with great music suddenly changed when I saw the multiple TVs tuned into crappy current tv shows. Our waitress was very efficient, though a little chatty. The food fortunately proved to be very good!! We had Cedar planked Salmon, NY strip, Filet Mignon, and Seafood Fra- Diavilo, everyone cleaned their plates! I will go back, but I will hope the TVs disappear😏
Food was awful. Too many great options to spend your time/resources here.
This was our first time dining here. It’s a little gem in the Humble area. We will definitely be back!
Ate the brunch buffet. The food was mostly warm and not hot. The food was rather bland and boring. Overall, not worth the cost per person. Will give them a try when the full menu is available, perhaps just a buffet thing.
Amazing vegan meal prepared by the chef once again! I cannot recommend enough. It's so refreshing to encounter a chef who appreciates rather than resenting a cullinary challenge!
We had a really wonderful Thanksgiving Day meal. The food was exceptional in presentation, quality and taste. We had attentive wait staff who were also friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.
Chef Eddie continues to make this THE place to go for top shelf Italian.
Sat at the bar this time, a great perch to watch the goings-on in the kitchen; very entertaining.
The food was outstanding!!! Wow!
Our servers were fantastic, and so was the bartender!
We waited very long for our meal that was just average. It was expensive for average Italian. The waitress was very nice. The restaurant was not busy. Not sure what the delay in getting our meals
I recently visited this place after passing by it and I must say i was very pleased with everything from the food to the service I would definitely recommend this place so go check it out.
First time visit and we were not disappointed. Nice to have a decent restaurant within walking distance. My only negative and a suggestion for the chef - lose the crayfish on the Seafood Fra-Diavolo especially when they are out of season. It's a great dish - but after trying one - I quickly tossed aside all the others. On the plus side - we loved the inclusion of artichoke slices in the calamari appetizer. Adds a great counter balance - nice touch. What's interesting is that artichokes are not mentioned on the menu. In fact, what arrived at our table did was not as described in the menu but it was very good.
My sense is these folks will adjust the menu within reason if you ask and I encourage them to experiment and and promote that concept.
Bottom line - give it a try.
The service was really slow i don't think they had enough servers and it took forever to get our food just wasn't worth the cost and the drinks from the bar weren't good just not an overall great place i wouldn't go back.
Really good first. I wish there service was money polished.
It was second time we went. Unfortunately the food was different. Probably they had another chef?
I had stuffed mushrooms..not a good choice, tepid temperature and definitely not homemade.i had a very good salad as part of entree. Ordered lobster ravioli- salty, but great seafood taste and texture. Definitely not homemade ravioli. Not as hot as I would have liked. Appeared nuked. Center was warm but not outsides. Prices are high for quality of food. Wait staff was great. I would choose Italianos before this one.
We had the Fried Cheese Ravioli, plus Farfalle Con Pollo Alfieno, Orecchiette Con Salsicce, and Seafood Fra-Diavolo. Finishing with the cheesecake and chocolate mousse.
The food was all tasty. My biggest complaint would be that the seafood dish was a bit gritty from a broken and crushed shell that was mixed throughout, and the chicken in the farfalle was a bit gristley. Maybe some would say this makes the dishes "homey," but I find it a lack of attention to detail.
Finally, the deserts were unremarkable. Not bad, mind you, just kind of a let down after the flavorful entrées.
Oh, and the music, while entirely enjoyable, was definitely repetitive: we heard the same tunes during the course of our meal.
I should have left when I opened the bar menu and there was a small bug crawling there. Service was pretty absent. The cheese on one of the main dishes was congealed by the time it was served. The salmon tasted fishy. All around disappointing.
Professional, friendly service. Food was excellent. Brunch variety was great. Would recommend and will come again soon to sample the menu.
Great food and music playing. Awesome 1st experience
Chef Eddie always runs a tight ship. Our server was new but was trained well and did a great job. The food here is always top-notch. Save room for dessert.
Could not order from a menu. Restaurant only had a buffet available. (expensive buffet with average food)
Have eaten here before but was much better that time.
Mothers Day - number of people overwhelmed kitchens ability to keep up; servers and everyone working did their best plus were also attentive, pleasant
