Excellent food. Several of us had different fish selections (red drum and salmon) and each was excellent. Service was exceptional. Easy walk from the Convention Center too.

We had News Year Eve dinner. The food and service were excellent . The regular menu was available and the service was not hurried. Both the duck and veal ossibuco and risotto were cooked perfectly.

Wow, our first visit and we were blown away with the overall experience, including ambiance, service and especially the food - unique variations on Italian, excellent preparation and presentation - all with a reasonable price for DC.

Good, straightforward Italian restaurant. Quality ingredients, preparation, and presentation. Excellent service - just the right balance between friendliness and professionalism. Great value for money. Unpretentious decor. If we lived in the neighborhood, could see this becoming our go-to spot.

Tortino is just down the street from my office. I love Italian food and this seems to be as authentic as it comes! The service is top notch and the food is outstanding. Great portions, too. I left full, but not stuffed.

The prices are very high for the amount of food received. Salad or soup should be included with the meal. A la carte is very pricey.

Food was great but not good for vegetarians. I specifically asked whether the risotto was vegetarian and when it arrived it tasted meaty so I asked a different person and found out it had chicken broth in it.

Visited on a week day at 12 noon. Was rather empty but the interior looked cozy and spotless. Food good not great. I would have to go back to try something else for a possible additional star.
Gave me the New York City Italian restaurant vibe. Must be the townhouse basement atmosphere, which I like.

Just discovered this restaurant off the beaten path and love it. The food was great and so was the service. Unfortunately not enough people know about it. Once they do, it will explode. Great potential for this bistro. Small menu so the chef can focus on quality and in house made desserts.

Tucked away in great neighborhood. Good menu selection, with pricing very fair for the quality and proportions. Service was very good with a good interchange among staff. Excellent recommendation from wine list. We shall return!

I’ve been to Tortino’s many times, but this was the first time I was able to bring my husband and it was his birthday. Everything I’ve ever had there has been excellent, very authentic.

We love Tortino and have never been disappointed. We first came here about 5 years ago and then we moved away from the city. We moved back a few months ago but were just able to eat there again last week. The food was great as usual. Can’t wait to head back.

This little off the beaten track Italian rest is a gem. Food is consistently top shelf. Parking is awful in the area, but you are rewarded by sumptuous risotto, pasta, and almost any entree. Been at least five times. Never disappoints.

I've dined here several times, and each time I was treated to a delicious pasta dish. Not a lot of good Italian in DC, but this is a very solid option.

We picked this restaurant as it was just around the corner from our hotel; we'd been travelling all day. I saw this restaurant had good reviews. We were welcomed with a smile. The server gave us the specials; I had a Buffalo Mozzarella, Tomato with a Cucumber sauce appetizer, my Sister and Mum both had the Carpaccio; which was delicious. For my entree I had Papadelle with Lamb Ragu, I can safely say, one of the best Pasta dishes I've ever had. We had a Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, which was excellent, maybe a little pricey. Overall great food, would definitely go back, if ever I'm in DC.

Really excellent restaurant. The Caprese type appetizer made with Burrata cheese was superb. The eggplant appetizer was also great. Thin slices of eggplant with a tomato sauce. The pan seared scallops were perfectly cooked over a cauliflower puree. Finally, the grilled marinated Portobello mushrooms were al dente with a balsamic drip. The spinach Tagliatelle with chicken was just right. Finally, the Roasted Veal Tenderloin was served medium rare as requested served over au gratin potatoes with a Black Truffle reduction. The couple next to us raved about the grilled pork chops. So don't go anywhere else before Tortino. By the way, very reasonably priced.
