What a gem tucked away in a neighborhood off the beaten path. From couples to large family gatherings, the restaurant has plenty of seating options. Can't wait to book another night out at Tortino Mare. Well worth the drive from Fauquier County.

This was our first visit. We were seated outdoors and my wife said it was just like being in Italy. From the music in the background, to the fountain and flowers to the fine service and excellent food, she was right. We will return.

Tortino Mare is always a great time. Everyone is so nice, the food and drinks (and wine list!) are excellent, and the price is tough to beat for everything you get. We've made it a habit to go often and always leave with the best experience.

Everything was WONDERFUL, the food, the service, the wine!!! The only negative feedback is that it was just a little too warm in the restaurant for our preference. (In fairness, we were seated close to the kitchen.) We could see the thermostat from our table and it was 76. Extra toasty!

Enjoyed our visit once again. Our server Melissa was great. Very friendly and it was obvious she wanted to provide great service. All the dishes and the pizza’s were very tasty and met our expectations. Look forward to returning.

Valentine’s Day…..had an 830pm reservation and didn’t get seated until after 9pm. Took 20 minutes just to have someone come by to fill water and take our order. Got our dinners about 940pm. Food was good as always - Dinner dessert and cappuccinos. Price was very reasonable and staff was apologetic for how long it took. To be expected on Valentines.

As always, the restaurant was very good. Valentine's Day and it was busy, but not enough to overwhelm the staff. Very good service. Food was excellent. We had the grilled Portobello mushrooms and Grilled Caesar Salad to start. Main courses were grilled salmon and veal marsala. All were excellent.

Tok my daughter and son in law last night Beautiful restaurant Excellent friendly and attentive service Food was wonderful! I had Nicoletti ravioli, will say, did not have a lot of crab meat, and I thought the lobster bisque would be more of a creamy sauce, then broth. The shrimp and fettuccine and ribeye that my children hand was excellent. The carpaccio and calamari wonderful. And the cheesecake, truly an Italian ricotta cheesecake. The evening was wonderful and so glad we found this hidden gem.

We’ve been here several times, and the food has always been very good, but not this time. My wife and I ordered two specials…the surf and turf (filet with a crab cake) and a mixed grilled seafood dish. They were each in the vicinity of $50. The seafood dish was really overcooked and under seasoned. The salmon and mahi were dry and seemed like they were frozen rather than fresh, the calimari was rubbery, and the rather small shrimp still had the tail attached. The filet with the surf and turf was ok, although somewhat overcooked, but the crab cake was really poor, mostly filler. Neither dish was worth its price. As I said, we’ve had pretty good food here in the past, so I’m gonna consider this meal an aberration, but I’ll probably stick to the regular menu items and the pastas in the future.

An excellent neighborhood restaurant with good quality, good prices and great service. The open kitchen is clean and capable. The menu is small but everything we had was very good. The prosciutto appetizer was very nice and the bolognese excellent.

Really great menu choice, there was 10 of us and we arrived about 7:30 PM, still not too late to eat. Service was terrific, food was spot on but could not understand why they had to butcher the dividing of the check. Everyone got there bill but it only showed just the amount. No one knew what they were paying for, and there was no breakdown of each portion. Very strange. We think it was getting late and they didn't want to stick around any longer then they had too. We turned our eyes toward the kitchen and the chef's looked like they about had it.

My husband and I enjoyed a meal with my elderly parents on a weekend evening. This was our first visit and we would definitely return. Tortino Mare's fresh bread and olive oil to start were delicious. We ordered several pizzas and the crust was excellent and the ingredients were fresh. We also ordered a rigatoni dish which got rave reviews. The seating is comfortable and the tables are far enough apart that you can enjoy your conversation. Tortino Mare is home-y and the food is quite good. And the parking was easy.

We enjoyed to restaurant and will 100% return. One issue for us to be noted is that the happy hour is ONLY avialable at the bar and the patio so indoor dining families are basically excluded from happy hour.

returned after a long due to covid concerns and such. Was surprised to see the reduced menu options. I always enjoyed all the various seafood options offered in the past. Food was okay. I had the seafood linguine (the only seafood offered) my wife had a steak. Her steak was below average, tuff and undersized based on price. My linguine was good but seemed like a frozen prepackaged assortment of seafood bought from Costco, which I've had several times at home. Good but not excellent. Overall, it was good evening outing, food was okay, price was reasonable, service was very good with lots of smiles.

Went for Mother's Day and had no problem making a reservation on Open Table only a few days in advance. That turned out to be a problem, as one of the managers let us know that they had many more reservations than they were actually capable of serving in a timely way. So, while we were seated immediately after we arrived, the delivery of our salads and meals was very slow as they just didn't have the kitchen staff to keep up with all the orders. That being said, the manager did apologize several times. We had no issues as we could see they were swamped. As we find every time we have eaten here, the food was outstanding. We had the Grilled Caesar Salad and the Tri-Color Salad. Both were very good. Our main courses were the Cowboy Ribeye Steak and Grilled Branzino. Both were outstanding. The Cowboy Ribeye was one of the most flavorful steaks I've ever had.
