Tortilla Union Southwest Grill - Station Park
The food was OK. We had Barbacoa tacos and the quesadilla. Bother just had OK flavor. The wait for the food was a bit long as well. I do recommend the tortilla soup. That was good!
Pretty average. The service was slow. 45 minutes to get food after it was ordered.
This was our first time here and we'll definitely be back.
Food/drinks a little overpriced (small servings). A little too noisy. Service could improve slightly (forgotten glass for bottled beer).
A nice place. The food was good but not notably so. We all enjoyed our meal. We were seated immediately because we had a reservation. Our server was very nice, but the wait times for service and food were long (45 minutes) because of the crowd. Quite noisy, which is not how we prefer to dine. I wouldn't mind if someone suggested going here, but I wouldn't pick it.
Our server was fantastic and I loved her southern drawl (she said she was from South Carolina).
She did wonderful.
We were seated quickly and the restaurant was very nice.
The chips weren’t very good. Nor was the salsa.
We each got three tacos. 2 corn 1 flour.
Our corn tortilla were cracked clear through the moment they were set on our table making them no longer easy to eat.
The taste was okay. Nothing bad. It nothing amazing.
So the service was great, the ambience was great, but the food was just okay.
Alyssa, our server, was great.
We’ll be back again soon
We have dined here before. This time around it seemed more like Mexican pub food. There was not anything special about the food or flavor. Our server was great, was honest about various things.
Overall awesome, they were short staffed, but our server did an excellent job making sure we were still happy!
Chip trio is still my fave! And I always have to get the California Cobb 🤤🤤 except my chicken was a little on the small side this time 😬 and I love the addition of the fresh sheet! Haven’t been in a few months and so this is new to me.
Took 10-15 minutes to be even acknowledged by a server. Then server rarely came to table to ask if anything was needed.
This is our second time dining here. The first time was wonderful. We got the chips and three dipping options which is always good. They make great queso, quac, and salsa. I had the shrimp tacos again. They weren't quite as good as the first time but compared to other restuarants they are great. My spouse got the chicken enchiladas in green sauce. They were really dry and had little flavor. The shredded chicken was not great. My daughter got the chicken burrito. She is 7 and complained that it was really dry. Same shredded chicken, same flavorless rice. The staff is friendly and the food is timely. I am not sure if we will go back again anytime soon.
Interesting enough, the ribs are amazing. This is our second time here and the food is average. Expensive for what it is. The tortilla soup was more like a chili verde you would smother a burrito with more like stew instead of brothy. However, if am I wanting ribs and we were in the area, this would be my first choice.
The queso is delicious. I love the barbacoa tacos on flour tortillas. The beef is great and the jicama slaw makes it even better. Tried a couple of desserts, neither was good, we actually sent the sopapillas back. I would skip dessert here in the future. But I will definitely be back for the tacos!
We love Tortilla Union! It's our favorite Mexican restaurant, especially when you can sit and enjoy delicious food and the fantastic view of the fountain.
I never know what to expected when going into a Mexican/America Cuisine restaurant. I can honestly say I was pleasantly surprised! Bri was our waitress and she was so friendly and accommodating. I loved every single piece of my meal. I wanted the tacos and I had two of the carne asade, which were so flavorful and heavenly. I was almost hesitant to eat the avocado taco because I didn't want food regret if it wasn't as good as the carne asada one! IT WAS DELISH! I loved the jicama slaw. I had the brulee for dessert, which the picture is what made my make the reservation in the first place. I loved the spice in it! I will definitely be coming back to have more tacos!!!
This was the first time trying out the restuarant. It was my birthday weekend. We had made reservations but they weren't showing in the system. The hostess were able to find us a table immediately and apologized for the mix up. No worries! We had an amazing waitress who provided us some guidance on what was good on the menu. She was spot on. We started with chips and salsa/quac/and queso. So yummy! My 7 year old devoured the queso. I had the fish, shrimp, and carne asada tacos. They were so flavorful! I loved them. My husband had the steak over mashed potatoes. The steak was so tender and it had such a unique flavor. So did the potatoes. We loved the atmosphere. We had excellent service! We will definitely be back.
Everything was great but the loud Jkmi Hendrix music playing. It didn’t seem to fit the setting and hampered our conversation on a Monday evening with a small crowd inside the restaurant.
Loved that our server split the appetizer 5 ways!!
The food was beautiful, but the taste/flavor was very lacking. My husband and I both left disappointed.
This was the 3rd time we've been to Tortilla Union. The food is very hit or miss. The drinks are decent, but we had to flag down the waiter to bring 1 more. We got the nachos as an appetizer, and they were great (although for $9, you would expect a little bigger portion size). We shared the chicken enchiladas, and they were terrible. The chicken tasted like it was reheated from previous day. We didn't eat them, and the waiter didn't ask about it. I proactively told him they weren't good, and he asked if I wanted to fill out a comment card. I said no thanks, we paid our bill and left. It's a nicer place, so when you are spending $14-$23 for mexican food you expect a little higher quality. Great ambiance/decor, decent food if you're already in Farmington or at Station Park.
We had a great time at Tortilla Union. This was our third visit. Super impressed with the service - our waiter was awesome. On a previous visit we spoke to the manager about the volume of the music and he handled it promptly and was very gracious about it. I notice don this last visit he is a working machine, very visible, filling in where needed. The food is good, a bit overpriced. The chips are to die for! The atmosphere is fun, great place for a date night or family dinner. Would totally come back.
We had a fun time. The food had some really great flavors. Our server did a great job.
Our server was awesome and brought us chips and salsa (not included like most Mexican food restaurants) when he saw the kitchen was backed up.
Food was just meh... Tried 3 kinds of tacos- fish, shrimp, carne asada. Also had the barbacoa enchiladas.
Was ok. Waitress was wonderful, wine glasses didn’t like .Food was ok.
Service was decent, but nothing above and beyond. When I mentioned I am gluten free/celiac they just gave me a head nod. I had to probe and ask about food prep to ensure their "gluten free" was celiac friendly. Other than that, food was good- little overpriced but I will go again.
Interesting menu items. Nice ambience place and good seating. Good timely service.
It was just ok. I had high hopes, but it did not live up. The place is very nice, the staff is excellent. The food was just OK.
Fathers Day Dinner
Food was good. We were a party of 6 & they stuck us in this little booth in the back corner of the restaurant instead of sitting us at a table designed for 6. The server was triple sat so service was eh. She was super nice when she was around. Instead of asking if we wanted any more beverages we always had to catch her as she was walking off to order more. If she would have asked us we would have ordered another round, but it was made clear by her that she wanted to be done with us when she asked how to separate the bills. Felt super rushed, & really turned off by it.
Food portions are very small, but very good.
The food was good but my glass was empty a few times. It was only water but I appreciate having my glass full.
6/1/18 Server seamed to be too busy to care ....I asked for a Margarita blended, he brought it to me on the rocks. When I questioned that I had ordered blended , he tried to tell me they couldn't do blended and I said that is funny because I was here two weeks ago and got one. The only reason he started being somewhat attentive is because I think the manager overheard me saying to my husband "that guy is horrible as a server". I work in the restaurant industry so I know how important it is for wait staff to engage with the customer instead of making them feel you don't have time for them or too busy to actually listen. Nobody goes out to a restaurant to eat and be treated like they are cattle being herded. Nevertheless the food was good so we will probably go back because it close to our home and the food is pretty good if you like spicy.
Well, my boyfriend and I were excited to try something new and different on our date night. We placed reservations on open table. Got seated promptly once we arrived, greeted by our server and ordered our drinks. I ordered 2 tacos and my boyfriend ordered 3 enchiladas. Our waiter repeated what we ordered and went off to place it. It took over 45 minutes to get our food....and I received my tacos, but my boyfriend received a rice bowl . The waiter admitted it was the wrong order, said the kitchen messed it up and that he would get some enchiladas out for him. Well the next time the waiter came, he brought the check. The waiter said he removed the meal for my boyfriend because it was an error.... um... okay... the manager never even stopped to apologize or anything. Not too thrilled.
Our server was not familiar with the menu items. Nice atmosphere and a fun place!
Great food, service and atmosphere.
We love the food selection here! We have eaten here at least once a week since they opened. The service is always a little sub par.
Also, they need a better selection of beer on tap.
First time eating there. Food and service were great! We will be back!
This restaurant continues to be understaffed. We went on Mothers Day and they weren’t very busy, but service was still extremely slow. We were there well over 2 hours. Food was good but not worth the wait. Was the same experience as our first visit, when the restaurant first opened. Was hoping that service would improve but if anything is has gotten worse. Probably won’t go back. Very disappointing as Twigs has always had fantastic service
Our server was nice! We never had to wait more than a minute for refills. Food came out in a timely manner. It was delicious! Will definitely go back.
