My server Dustin was a pleasure to have serve us the other night. As always, he is consistent and attentive. Available but not overbearing and generally carries himself in a good and wholesome manner. He’s nice and he’s approachable.
I’ll see you guys soon. Something on those Brussels sprouts changed. Not bad but I miss that old sauce— whatever it was. The New sauce is cute but honey! Bring it back.
Thanks for having us. Thanks for fetching that small silver spoon for my friend. She’s such a weirdo so that wouldn’t have been an ideal meeting without something whacky like that. You kinda poked fun but we all loved it and your delivery was iconic!
Cheers. See y’all in a week or so...
One of my favorite olaces
Terrible service waited over 30 minutes for our server to come to our table, service is terrible and wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. Reservations were made for a birthday, nothing was attempted no dessert not even a birthday wish.
Our server was fantastic and very handsome. I wish I knew his name. The staff was so friendly and on it about refilling our drinks. We had a great time enjoying brunch.
It will be my best friend Deangelo’s 27th Birthday and his first time in LA. He has to enjoy this spot!
It was a great Valentine’s Day dinner date! I’d go back
Valentines date, although there was a fixed menu the food was amazing and the service was on point
Great food, service, and ambiance. Always a go-to for special occasions.
Horrible experience. The host (tall, brunette lady) rude &snobby. We had an appointment @ 3pm and didn’t get seated till 3:40 all. But yet they had two tables available that seated 10.
The manager was also rude when I asked if we can sit in one of those table. He said no, I ask when would or table be ready we been waiting, he said I’m not a psychic to know that. Attached is his picture.
Would never come back.
Was a great environment with really good energy and ambiance. Food was delicious!
Overal pretty decent experience, as always!
My dad and I always feel welcome and the food and drinks are wonderful. Loved having Taylor as our server, will be back soon!
Great food, friendly staff, strong drinks...what more can you ask for?
Great margaritas. I had the Arroz con Pollo al Mole, the sauce was good but the chicken a little dry. Good mezcal recommendation.
Jesus their food has gone down the drain. I keep going back on Sunday brunch days but it’s no longer worth it.
Service was spotty. Desserts were sub par.
Went for DineLA for date night with a reservation. Though we sat down immediately, neither the host nor the waiting staff acknowledged us for about 20 minutes. I'm not white, so I couldn't help but notice that a white couple that was seated 10 minutes after me and my date were seated was attended to immediately. After needing to ask for the DineLA menu having not been offered it, the waiter almost immediately turned sour towards us, answering in short. The food's taste was fine, but it was mostly decorative. Given the many restaurants in this area, I'll likely never return to Tortilla Republic.
The food wasn't as good as the last time I was there. I'm sure that I wasn't told when I booked the table that it was only available for two hours either.
Blown away by the dessert. Both the churros and the key lime pie are delicious. Don’t normally get two desserts but this was worth it
Made a reservation thinking it would be a busy Taco Tuesday like in the past. It was quite empty, we sat at the bar instead.
Bartender was good but you could tell he was more drink focused as our food came out slow and he forgot to put in an item even though he read my order back to me.
But our drinks came out in a snap as he was slighty eavesdropping on our conversation.
The ceviche and nachos were great but I wish they still had the Hongo Huarache on the menu.
We were in from Chicago and decided to try. I had the carnitas and they were outstanding. My husband had the pastor pork chop and it was tender and delicious. I highly recommend this place for great Mexican and great margaritas.
Not my fave Mex restaurant. Too loud, weak drinks and odd dishes. Servers are pleasant and bussers excellent, though. Good looking crowd too
We experience a rather bad service last night in one of our favorite spots . Food , drinks and ambiance was far amazing but our server was not happy to be there and wait us. He seemed to be bother , at end of night he dropped the check in a very offensive manner . We are not sure if we come back there after we drive a while to dine there
Excellent. Food is unusually traditional with healthy options.
Excellent food and service.
Other than a very snarky welcome upon entering, all was pretty good. I asked host if they were open and he said “can’t you see people already sitting and eating?” Actually I could because is was waking into a closed door from the bright sidewalk. Waiter was not happy to be working on a Sunday morning but we eventually cheered him up.
The food is ok and the ambiance is nice, but it is not worth the money. There are so many other places in LA with ambiance just as good and with better Mexican food for less money (Marix and Mercado for example). If you plan to eat dinner then walk right over to the bars, this is a good spot to choose though. It’s just down the block from the Abbey and Chapel.
This was our first time there-- we will definitely be going back for more. I liked it so much I already told friends to check it out. The food was delicious!!
Fav place. Great food, great service, awesome atmosphere. Every single time !!
It was great. Thanks
Great location and amazing food, very good portions for the price.
Highly recommend the tortilla soup.
I’d rate this restaurant as just OK. It came highly recommended, but the food was just mediocre. I had the crispy fish tacos. I expected a deep fried texture. I’m not sure what I got, but it wasn’t crispy (borderline mushy) with next to no seasoning on the fish; adding salsa did little to perk up the flavor. I ordered off the brunch menu and only received two of these bland tacos on my plate; no sides. Needless to say, I left less than satiated with an almost empty wallet after paying $55.00 for: 2 tacos, a shared order of guacamole (w/3 other people) and 2 margaritas. (For this amount at my local Mexican eatery, two people leave full for the day!). Also , the noise level did not make for conversational ease at our table. Altogether, an unexceptional dining experience
Been here on several occasions.
Good food, but small portions and overpriced especially for appetizers .
Had a friend in town from Mn and we picked this before a show at the Troubadour. Drinks were good but $15, and food was excellent (machaca enchiladas were amazing) and good value. I would highly recommend to anyone. Ambiance was great and quiet too. The wait staff is VERY professional and attentive!
Had a reservation for corner table and arrived early to find it had been given away. Also service was very slow
Excellent food and atmosphere. Excellent service by the food runner. Waiter however was not attentive. Did not check back to refill drinks or see how we were doing.
Saw waiter chatting up coworkers but for some reason we were ignored. The restaurant was not busy at all during the time we were there.
More of a drinking place than a restaurant. Salsa and chips weren’t good, which is always a bad sign for a Mexican restaurant.
Great service, food and ambience. It does get noisy/loud in the front room, but the back "rope" room was much quieter and preferred!
We had a great time! Weekend happy hour is good for drinks, the food portions on happy hour aren’t great and the price adds up. The ambience is amazing, great for a date.
