Salsa & Chips
It was okay. Not fantastic, but not horrible. I must say tho… they do have the best tortilla table chips I’ve ever had in my whole life. So they have that goin for them
The food is still good. The service is fair. Only one server for the entire restaurant during lunch. We had to ask for a drink or additional utensils several times. But overall it was still good and valuable for lunch after the pandemic. Thank you.
The stopped serving tortillas and salsa which was a disappointment.
Food always excellent. Queso dip delicisious. Menu is limited, though, as TC reopens after the pandemic. Hope it can expand it soon when work force returns.
Outstanding service with a smile thanks to Charlie!
Guacamole was okay, enchiladas substituted with veggies my date didn’t enjoy at all, tacos were okay. Churros was the only thing I enjoyed unfortunately. Which was surprising, my typical DoorDash order with the in and out burrito is typically good as well as quesadilla.
Overall it was ok. We were seated right away, however the table was not clean, sticky actually. Put a couple napkins down to cover it up and move on. We ordered the chicken and steak fajitas and Gina’s plate. The fajitas were basically 4 small pieces of steak and 5 small cuts of chicken covered in a mountain of barely sautéed vegetables. Came with a side of 3 THIN flour tortillas wrapped in plastic. What? Presentation was ok. Ginas plate looked more appetizing and presentable, the chicken on both plates was delicious. We ordered a pitcher of silver coast margarita (I guess their 2nd top notch pitcher they offered) and it was half ice half sour mix, barely tasting any alcohol. Very disappointing. Did not even get the servers name or offered anything extra to include dessert, any condiments, not even extra napkins(when we were clearly out(because of spilled water)). Disappointed at my first dinner near the capitol. Would not recommend it to anyone.
Love tortilla coast! Always a great spot in DC!
Great staff and food. Happy hour is awesome
The food was good. Be ready for large portions. It's a little pricey, but again the portions make it worth it. The Captain Crunch French Toast during brunch is worth driving into the city.
Covid spacing great
Tortilla Coast was a cute spot right of the metro which made it convenient to get to. Me and a friend had gone for happy hour and enjoyed the pitchers of margaritas, which were just the right amount of sweetness. The nachos that we got we okay, but I would go back just for the margs. If you are looking for a cheap happy hour, this is the place to be!
Good as always. Great happy hour
We absolutely love the Sunset dip here...it's the best! Chips are light and the menu is fantastic. And the margaritas are dangerous!
Delicious food, small plates, good margaritas, the place is big but we weren’t able to get more than a tiny table with chairs about to break, other than the food the restaurant is not authentic Mexican, the atmosphere is like an American restaurant.
Great service. BBQ Chicken quesadilla very good. Marg pitchers a little pricey for $20 at happy hour when it's loaded with ice.
Great robust menu, appreciated during the crisis, with flavorful selections served by a friendly staff. Some outdoor seating, and widely-spaced tables inside.
Great service! They accomodated to our few requests without a problem, and they were very understanding the entire time. Good churros too.
Great dinner, I am going to miss this place when the close
The food was delicious, and our servers were wonderful. They were very attentive the whole visit.
Outstanding food and service. We need to keep this restaurant in business for a long time.
Tortilla Coast is a Capitol Hill institution and is always great! Many memories here and will treasure this restaurant forever! Good food, great happy hour, awesome staff, fun atmosphere - everyone should go at least once if they’re in DC!
Great service!! Amazing food. Love this place
Great food and great service. Can’t believe they are closing!
Had to wait a while for a table (over 20 minutes), despiser having reservations. So grabbed an open table at the bar. Chips were also very stale.
The restaurant was closed - why was I able to make a reservation if they weren’t open?
Great evening. Was bummed cos due to COVID-19 they didn't have their regular happy hour menu. Overall great though.
If you want cheap on Capitol Hill, this is fine. Kind of like a college town dive. Not bad, but just ok. But, not costly either.
Always a great time! Great prices the hostess that greats you at the door pleasant all the time and remembers us each time. The waiter always provide great service and delicious food!
Great food with fun atmosphere.
Food was tasty. Service was good, prompt, and
Happy hour pricing was only honored in the bar area which was a disappointment.
A fun place near the Folger Theater. Food is ok but not special. Enjoyed the $3 tacos (which is still rather spendy for what you get) and the margarita was tasty (but also spendy).
This restaurant is slowly unraveling before our eyes. Ever since the new menu’s arrival, the kitchen has slowed to a crawl.
Given its location, speed and reliability were always its strong points - a place to fuel up in a perfect respite between Hill meetings. They used to strike a unique balance - you could either spend a full lunch enjoying a productive 90 minutes, or you could spend 25 minutes, if you had to run.
Now, it is a solid half hour to deliver nachos and a Caesar salad to the table, on a slow, rainy Monday.
In realize it’s not fast food; but TC needs to remember its roots and what got it to this point.
We were having a goodbye party for a friend. This was a great place to do it. Plenty of room and very reasonable.
This is a very pleasant place for lunch. Service is excellent and quick. Great iced tea. Great salsa. I am vegetarian, so I have only had the veggie combo, which is good. It's not too noisy, so you can talk to your companions and actually hear each other. Easy to get to from Metro S. Capitol stop.
Loved it. Great food
Nachos were a little cold but everything tasted great, very fast service & very welcoming people
The food was very good and service was excellent. Some off the best salsa I’ve ever had.
