Interesting space and varied menu. Food and drinks were delicious.
I would recommend Toro Toro but with qualifications - don't go if you are hard of hearing. There are a lot of hard surfaces, the music is fairly loud, and if you are near a larger table with lots of people trying to be heard - as we were - well, you get the idea. The food was great and the service was pretty good, too, but it would have been nice to be able to carry on a conversation where you didn't have to talk so loud just to be heard.
Great place to meet up with friends. Great atmosphere and delicious food!!!
Wonderful experience! Fun drink menu with a yummy and interesting dinner menu. This place has a little something for everyone!
I took my husband for a private night and everyone there was, by far, the most amazing people Ive ever had the privilage of meeting... I have shared and told everyone to GO TO TORO TORO!!
This was our first time trying Toro Toro. The waiter took our drink order but then it took 15-20 minutes to bring them! After that everything went smoothly. We loved the ceviche, skirt steak, and scallops! We really like the menu overall and will definitely go back and try other things!!
The food was excellent and the service was also
I was surprised how open the restaurant was. It is a good hotel bar and eatery but not a destination dining place. Menu was overpriced for the ambiance. Actually I was unimpressed and would not return.
The service was extraordinary and the food unique and delicious. A great addition for Fort Worth.
Great experience. Their hot dishes are definitely better than their cold ones, but all was great overall. Nice selection of Mezcal and the Mezcal tasting was an unexpected bonus to the evening. Outstanding service that was extremely helpful and friendly.
Tough. Choice of sides lacking
No Au Jus. No horse radish sauce
Excellent food!!! Great service! And did I mention the excellent food????
Superb experience, highly recommend!
The food was good, but not great; under seasoned of all things. The menu was unique but the wine list was just sad, especially their offerings by the glass. As a chef, I would never put my name next to a menu with a wine list like that. They do a good job at selling an image but if you arrive with expectations of them meeting such status, you’ll be underwhelmed.
Valentine’s Day special menu was a disappointment. Food lacked flavor and creativity. Fish dish was more like fish soup. Next time I’ll stick with the dishes from the original menu, which were superb.
The food was a little pricey for what you got, but everything tasted great. Wish they had more vegetarian options though.
This place is AMAZING and is EXACTLY more of what Fort Worth needs! The design is fantastic, the food is WONDERFUL and the environment is so very posh! Extremely elegant and I will for sure be returning! Not to mention the lunch is SUPER affordable if you want to try this place but are ready to drop a couple hundred on dinner. Five stars hands down!!
Get the tomahawk
Amazing food! Was a little surprise and disappointed that they charged $5 for large ice cubes for cocktails, not sure if that up charge was mentioned to us or anywhere on the menu. Little ridiculous for ice. Everything else was amazing.
Don’t expect the Miami experience. They don’t have the “Bomba” and the food has a Tex-Mex flair. Wait staff needs to be trained to not be so interactive. We were constantly interrupted and couldn’t enjoy our conversation. Ambiance is great, food good, service okay.
Being in the hotel lobby, I was a little apprehensive at first. I’m so glad we went! Food was fantastic, ambience was super cool and drinks/wine selection was spot on. Definitely going back.
Fantastic Food and great atmosphere. Our waitress was amazing
food was excellent, chicharrone shrimp and lamb chops were perfect. appetizers all look and sound amazing, only tried two. sides were ample portions and well done. kale salad also good. service and pacing was a touch slow but polite, and nothing too slow to complain about.
a table next to us did send a steak back for being over cooked and the fixed item took a long time to get back to them. they have only been open a few weeks so i think they are still working out the kinks.
there is a wood fired grill inside which smells incredible but it does get a touch smoky so if you are bothered by that for any reason be warned.
Super restaurant in downtown Fort Worth to celebrate a birthday!
We loved ToroToro! Service and food were amazing.
Went for Anniversary dinner and the staff and food was great ! The manger was even nice enough to get us an anniversary drink !
Mercedes was great. Food was excellent. Definitely coming back to try the Tomahawk.
skewers were great, especially the octopus
smoked swordfish dip was a hit with all
Stayed with small plates and appetizers and it was plenty.
This was our first time at Toro Toro. My husband and I got the following:
1. Brazilian cheese bread - 3 for $5 and it's on the shareable list? That's a bit much...
2. Oxtail and bone marrow toast - this one very good but not as decadent as were used to bone marrow dishes being
3. Bone in NY strip medium rare - very lean and lacking flavor
4. Located Mac n cheese - good and hearty
5. Truffle fingerling potatoes - you can definitely taste the truffle oil. This one was very good
The bathrooms are upstairs. They have complimentary valet. The restaurant is located in a hotel.
Overall takeaway - the food was decent at best but for the price we will probably be going to the many other restaurants options in downtown Fort Worth.
We love Toro Toro! Our server was excellent. The food was scrumptious. Next time we may stay at the Worthington Hotel that’s connected with the restaurant. It’s off Sundance Square, so it’s the perfect location!!
The octopus was under cooked. Salads were perfect. The scallops were over seasoned. The wait staff we’re not confident with their skills which made for a lack luster experience. Valet is managed by a bunch of children.
too expensive for the value and service. food decent, bar is cool....had high expectations...once they get their staffing done proabably be better
Our group of 4 were there for a birthday. The service was un-acceptable, the food was just OK. Even though I stated on my reservation that it was for a birthday and reminded the hostess when we arrived, there was not even an acknowledgement of a birthday.
Everything was excellent except you will smell a little like wood smoke when you leave. Service great. Unique cocktails.
Lamb chops were outstanding as was the ceviche. Will come back and try the bar next time.
Not there yet. Good food but awful pacing -- longest wait I've experienced for each course anywhere in many years.
We went there for Christmas dinner, the food was wonderful, great service and terrific selection of wines. We sat in one of the booths, which cut down the sound level tremendously so we could enjoy our conversation. Definitely will go back.
Christmas Day dinner!
Great new restaurant at the Worthington! Food was fresh and interesting without being weird. Servers were very nice and competent. Fun bar area. Will definitely go back.
