Very nice server but a few mistakes including unannounced and more expensive substitution. Thought it would have been more special & probably should have been. Average food with a whole lot more potential!

This was our second time going to Toroso, the first being a company holiday party. We decided to sit outside, but within an hour, the bugs were too overwhelming; it didn't appear they had any pest mitigation going on (spray, fog, citronella, etc). We ordered drinks, and then 2 sets of 3 tapas. The first trio came out in 2 batches, about 5-10 minutes in between. We only got 2 of the second three, and by that time, the bugs were so bad, we just asked for the check. The manager even came out to ask us about the meal. We said we were still waiting for the last tapa, but still never got it. The food was great, but we believe very overpriced.

A nice surprise find on the outskirts of KBPT/Lower Kennebunk. Shared plates were well portioned and delectable. Drinks were imaginative and refreshing. Staff served our demands with thoughtfulness and smiles.

This is our 5th or 6th time here...2nd this summer and I am concerned about the direction here. Big Shannon Bard fan, but I think the restaurant is increasingly having an identity crisis as well as some loss of attention. First I think they are trying to figure out whether they are a tapas or regular dining experience--and not sure they are succeeding at either. At the recent visit, the Tapas mention was significantly limited. I get that people had a hard time figuring out the menu before, but I really question the direction when many others are increasing tapas size appetizers or mini-mains. I would do some of both and have a "mains menu" as well as a "tapas menu" and stake out their niche in the KPT area. Also I think attention to spicing needs to be encouraged...perhaps even tasting....last time the Octopus was totally killed by a youngster coating it with paprika so you couldn't even tell it was octopus anymore. This time the Octopus was gone. We did enjoy the Moorish peppers which are a great part of their menu but would encourage a little less sea salt. We really love this addition to the area restaurants and hopefully Shannon can get it back into the groove between what she wants and what the community wants. Service is usually great and hopefully they find their niche and become the promise that they started.

Right out of the gate there were issues - having made my reservations more than a week in advance our party of 5 got the worst table in the house. Asked to be moved and we got a table that was partially in the bar and the dining room. Very noisy. Service was painfully slow. 20 mins for our drinks to arrive. And the food was underwhelming - certainly not good enough to compensate for the faults previously mentioned.

This was the third time I have been to Toroso.The food has always been delicious with good portions for tapas.It is a bit pricey so I wouldn't go there with my adult kids who really like to eat and drink.I especially like the white sangria,their charcuterie and cheese platter ,the Brussels sprouts and their eggplant presentation.We were there on a Thursday evening and had no trouble getting reservations.

Interesting food, but overpriced. Even for tapas the portions were very small. Also, almost no white wines were available from the menu the night we were there. In addition, in both the dishes that featured potatoes, the potatoes were undercooked.

We live locally and this is one of our favorites. We take company here frequently for business and pleasure. There is something for everyone on the menu. The wine selection is the best in town, and Ian, the bartender is rocking the specialty cocktails this summer. The patio is open if weather permits, but if not inside is cozy and just lovely.
