First time here and we loved it! Great food and service and nice environment to be in. Would definitely come back again!
Definitely recommend the unlimited option, well worth the money. Our waitress was very attentive to us, bringing out more food and drinks as soon as we needed them. Overall, great experience.
Great atmosphere and phenomenal food.
The food was amazing: fresh and delicious and seemingly endless. Bring your appetite!
We are party of 10.
Excellent Excellent Excellent in all categories.
One fixed price for unlimited food and drinks, what else you need!!
We were disappointed that Toro Toro no longer offered their tapas special for lunch, but the food I had - the beets and goat cheese appetizer and the kale Caesar salad with steak - was delicious. Had lunch there on a very rainy Monday after a holiday weekend, so the restaurant was unusually quiet. Great for a business lunch though.
Toro Toro was delicious! Impressive dishes with a signature twist that I have to show my friends. The value is also incredible and makes it easy to try a lot of dishes without breaking the bank.
I had a great time. My out of town guests were extremely impressed. I will be back!
Tapas style dining with wonderful spins on Mexican cuisine. Very loud though.
We had a fabulous night! They took care of us very well and accommodated us. The staff was so nice! Loved it. Will be back again
Very pleasant time with good food and service.
Great food! Excellent service
The service was less than stellar. The serve took a long time to get our drinks. She said the bar was backed up. When we asked about the brunch time limit being extended because of the long wait time between drinks we were told no. They offer other drinks for bottomless but your best bet is to just do the mimosas so you aren’t waiting on a backed up bar for drinks.
Delicious food and great meet up spot!
We had an amazing time, celebrating a birthday with friends. The food is outstanding and bottomless brunch was a great deal. The margaritas were not the best but the mimosas were perfect. We will be back again soon!
We thought the food was so great. I don't know why this restaurant doesn't get better recommendations although it does have a very good star rating which was why we tried it. I am not sure but it seemed that people didn't have problems with the taste of the food but more with service. We had a great waiter. He was very, very attentive. We went on a Friday nite and I went there with my big teenage kids and husband. The waiter recommended the Menu de la Familia. It was a great choice. He didn't even charge us for our 2 teenagers and only charged us for 2 adults. It was a great value and the best way to enjoy all the different foods. He chose the items to bring out and they were all delicious. And all the items came out fast. We got about 5 items initially and after that as soon as we finished, there were new items to taste. It was all so good and we all overate because everything tasted so good. Also the $20 for unlimited drinks is a good deal. And the mojito was the best I have ever tasted anywhere. On the flip side, I didn't like the margarita. Also, the only thing we would say to watch is if you order bottled water, it is pricey at $7 a bottle and we went through 4 of them easily. I also think it is a great place for after work or for groups to go. We highly recommend it and wish we had one here in New York.
Went to dinner at dining area but since it was during happy hours, people from the bar was very loud,
The shareable plates were amazing and service was great!
So this is our 3rd time coming here for brunch and this has to be the worse experience we had.
First it took us 10 minutes before our waiter got to us to take our drink orders, took another 15 minutes to get our drinks and the soft drink we asked for took 35 minutes to come to the table and it’s because we had the manager ask us if we needed anything and we told him that we were waiting on it on top of the foods we ordered. The food came out an hour later, well 4/6 things we order.
Was there for two hours and only had two drinks for brunch and still didn’t receive two things we ordered in the beginning and no water refilled either. My friend actually got up and got her own napkins and went to the bar to get a refill of water.
I wouldn’t say it was the kitchens fault because everyone seems to have gotten their food way before us and our server was tending to the table right next to us like they were royalty. Every time he made eye contact with us, he would walk the other way.
So this whole experience was very disappointing and we will not be coming back.
The food was unbelievable. Fresh and tasty with a nice spice kick. The drinks were strong but refreshing. The staff was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Toro Toro for any brunch engagement that anyone is thinking about. Where else can you eat and drink nonstop for two hours for $39
Some dishes were really good but others like the Salmon or the Lomito lacked some seasoning
We had had the Menu de la familia which is the best way to try a little bit of everything
Excellent food and fantastic lunch specials. Staff were attentive and friendly.
Went on a Sunday evening at around 7:00. Food was good and wait staff was very attentive. We got the unlimited tapas and cocktails. We were very surprised at how empty the restaurant was at dinner time on a weekend. We were one of maybe four tables.
Yes. The food was very good. The service just a smidgen spotty.
Waitress took super long, there were 30 minutes between each time she came to our table. Never even saw the desert menu which I was looking foward to.
Preferred the old buffet. Much less selection and seafood largely gone
We did the unlimited food brunch on a Saturday morning. The server was very nice but quick to admit this was only her 2nd brunch shift. She knew the food well but not details (no pricing is listed on the menu which I found to be deceiving and she didn’t know it either). The busers were amazing as soon as a dish was empty and dirty they were there to collect it. Once the restaurant started getting busy you could tell because the food took longer to come out and at one time backed up and all came out at once. It became a very lively restaurant as it got busier and others took part in unlimited drinks. Overall it was a cool experience but I don’t know if I would go back. I think I will try something new next time.
It is a pretty place, food is good, but the noise level was extremelly loud. It was very difficult to converse w my companion. We were reading our lips and we were still screaming while talking. Will not return for dinner. I might return for happy hour at the bar, but not for a relaxing dinner.
Tend to be a little noisy menu could use some additions
Loved everything! Food was quite amazing! Would live to go again next time I'm in the area. Will recommend to others.
I was very disappointed in the quality of food that was provided - some items were overcooked, others came out cold, and others just didn't taste good. I very much enjoy their buffet brunch, but the a la carte brunch menu option is not recommended !
They picked up food off our table after it had been sitting for 5-7 minutes and took it to another table. We strongly advised against it but the waiter kept saying it wasn’t meant for us. Appalled to say the least.
I visited Toro Toro for brunch on Memorial Day Weekend. Our server was nice but overwhelmed and admitted he was covering tables and working the bar. The food consistently came out was cold and we had to reorder a couple of times. DC offers so many amazing brunches. I will be sure to put Toro Toro on my never again list.
I love dining here and bringing friends from out of town. The Blood Orange mimosas are divine! Thanks for always making my experience pleasurable.
Such a wonderful restaurant! Food is great, Energy is great! One thing to keep in mind, they do host happy hour here so its very lively after 4pm! So not a place for an afternoon business meeting unless its before 4pm! After that . . .all fun! I love it!!
We are on a Sunday so not too filled. The menu was really inviting and unique. Got a mojito but didn’t taste like there was any alcohol in it. Presentation was great and so was the taste but expected a few more chips to my skewer. Could have had a little more food for the price. Waiter wasn’t very attentive.
The guacamole with atun and the pulpo were excellent! Their traditional Margarita was very good too!
