Would recommend for tapas and sangria. Paella Mixto was too smoky. Had paella at Boqueria last year in D.C. and smokiness was just right.
Food was overly salty and dishes takes too long
Excellent tapas served in an industrial chic space. Despite the size of the place, our table felt jammed into a section of the restaurant next to the kitchen counter. Many large parties throughout the rest of the space made me think that this place is ideal for a birthday celebration or group meal. Scaffolding on the building made the entrance difficult to find at first.
We got there right before the kitchen closed but they took or order without hesitation and everything was great.
Awesome service and loved the food! Also great ambiance.
Food was out of this world amazing, but our server seemed annoyed that we wouldn’t order alcohol and basically blew us off the entire visit. Another waiter ended up refilling our drinks, bringing our food, and another cleared the table. Would have given the review 5 stars overall if it were not for her horrid attitude.
Amazing experience at Toro! We had reservations for 5:45 at the chef’s counter. After arriving a little early (kitchen opens at 5:30) we grabbed drinks at the bar and the hostess sat us at a table fifteen minutes earlier than what we reserved!! If you like Moscow mules, definitely order the Baby Stormi! Everything on the menu was absolutely delicious and everything came out in a timely fashion. Some of our favorites: the Iberian ham (reminded us of our trip to Barcelona), the tuna tartare (wow — those crispy shallots really made the dish!), and the garlic shrimp (do yourself a favor and order it TWICE). The ambiance has a cozy but industrial feel to it, perfect for date night or grabbing dinner with friends and family. Staff is extremely friendly. Can’t wait to come back!
Thank you for dining with us at Toro! We hope to see you soon :)
Cool place, but the paella was terrible :-/ I was looking forward to the paella so much and it was a huge disappointment. Everything else was pretty good, very cool restaurant, good service, great drinks, good music, speak easy in the back is nice.
Fantastic, but the Boston location is a bit better but I’m biased
Delicious Valentines day meal and the speakeasy in the back was an added bonus!
So glad you guys had a great Valentine's with us at Toro!
This was our third visit to Toro. As on our other dining experiences here, the food was delicious, the service attentive without being obtrusive, and the ambience inviting. We will go back, and recommend the restaurant to friends.
Thanks Christopher ! Happy you guys had a good time. See you soon!
Tell your staff not to give attitude and rethink your playlist.
Really nice Spanish tapas food and good service!
The food was amazing and the service was exceptional!
Health inspector came, so we couldn’t eat for 2 hours. However we didn’t even mind because they handled it very well.
Thank you so much for hanging in and riding the wave with us! Come visit Toro NYC again soon :)
Great food - service was excellent as they accommodated our tables food allergies.
Good place overall / great drinks selection. Food was very good!
Awesome! Come back and visit us soon :)
All the tapas were great, except the octopus , it was a bit overdone
Server was very informative
Great spot! A little pricey but worth it for a fun night out / special occassion.
Excellent food & service from Caitlin.
Awesome! Glad to hear you guys had a nice time at Toro NYC!
The absolute worst service. Waitress left in middle of meal and no one else seemed to take over.
Exceptional food, service and overall dining experience.
Awesome, So glad you had a great time dining with us! Come visit us soon!
The restaurant entrance is hard to find. It’s actually not on 10th ave. Small minor detail but it’s kinda annoying. Food not cheap but it’s great. Decent size. Service was good. Restaurant is huge and not so busy when we got there. Sangria is delicious and we ordered so many from the menu like around 9-10 dishes. The octopus is a must along with the paella and Foie gras
Sorry to hear you had a hard time finding the restaurant! Glad you guys enjoyed the food and sangria! Our menu is constantly changing so come see us again soon :)
New Year eve
I would recommend Toro for a drink. Its got a great vibe, however the food didnt live up to the ambiance and service.
My favorite experience in all of New York! The food is always incredible and the service is the best I've experienced. Every time I come to New York I have to come to Toro.
Awesome! We are happy to hear you enjoyed yourself! Come see us again soon! Happy New Year
Toro was great. Went on recommendation from a friend. Great room in the heart of meatpacking district, yards away from Chelsea market. Small plates, great choices. Drinks were excellent as well.
Just ok: food wasn’t great, service wasn’t great. Was out on date night and went home unsatisfied.
Celebrating the Christmas holiday season with our son, Ross, at my number one favorite NYC restaurant... awesome!
The chef(s) at Toro are so amazingly talented and creative.
The three of us ordered nine or ten small plates (tapas), of which every one was more spectacular than the next!!!
Service was spot on, too!
My husband and I cannot wait to come back to NYC to visit our son, and most certainly dine at Toro.
Your restaurant is absolutely worth repeating EVERY time we are in New York.
Thank you! And Merry Christmas!
Was a rushed experience - which ruined the evening. We were brought our check, but wanted to order more. Our group was celebrating, but none of us will be back. Try Little Spain for great service, tapas, and sangrias.
We had an amazing dining experience at Toro. The food and especially the service was fantastic!!
Amazing food! Slightly expensive but delicious! The cocktails were great, service was professional and the food was tasty. Highly recommend getting the paella mixta to share
Glad you enjoyed Toro Rebecca! Visit us again soon!
Everything we tried was great. if you like seared foie gras, hurry, it is delicious At the end of the meal we were brought glasses of white cherry - a very nice touch and perfect ending to the evening. Highly recommended and it is very close the start of High Line Park.
Awesome space and service was great. The food was mostly good but the paella was SO salty we could barely eat it.
Toro was awesome! Our server was so friendly and gave us great recommendations. The food was very good, each dish that came out was better and better. As the evening went on they played music that was fun and added to the environment. Lots of options for vegetarians!
Happy to hear you guys had a great night! Come visit Toro NY again soon :)
great food as usual!! came from New Orleans to visit NYC and had to come back to see you guys!! Love the tapas!!
The food is always very tasty and inventive and their wine list has a a good choice of Spanish and South American wines. Portions are generous! So order as you go. I celebrated my birthday at their 'kitchen table' in the back and their event planner was super helpful and service was perfect. It does get noisy later in the evening so it's hard to have an intimate conversation.
Food is ok. Service is below what you'd expect for the money spent. Not worth the money.
