Food was very good.
It was good, could have been great. Undercooked salmon microwaved to get to temperature, cold shashito peppers on my plate, missed one of the items I ordered completely, tough gristle on my $50 steak, cold capaccino, automatic 20% tip, uncomfortable chairs. But located in a beautiful setting.
Anniversary dinner and it was terrific!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring back the Mercado. This was the best drink in town, and one of the main reasons for coming to Toro. I bring people to Toro because I rave about the Mercado, and was really sad to know it was axed. Please bring that back.
On the other hand, RUBY, our amazing waitress, was phenomenal!! I will request her every time. Thank you Ruby for making our experience (mercadoless) at Toro amazing. You rock!
Please bring the Mercado back. Can’t stress that enough!
2 out of 3 meals were pretty bad. Service was friendly and efficient. My friend who lives here said he would never go back (he got one of the very poor meals).
Drinks were very good, well made.
Looks like you folks have some tightening up to do!
Amazing service and quality of food. One of the best restaurants we've eaten in at years! Our server Melissa is probably the best one we've ever experienced!
It was really good.
Excellent service from the time we were greeted, seated, and throughout the meal. Marta and the entire waitstaff were extremely attentive. She was very knowledgeable about the menu. Food was very flavorful and creative. Excellent overall!
Great food and beautiful setting. The tuna taquitos are outstanding.
Great food and ambiance. The lobster quesadillas are a must to try.
Great meal and cocktails. Great option in the Snowmass area.
Don’t like waiters are not wearing masks indoors. Feel uncomfortable it’s too soon for me.
Staff not very welcoming or friendly. I expected better.
Birthday, nice people
Our server, Elsa, was very attentive, helpful and nice. The food was delicious...special kudos on the Brussels sprouts appetizer. The only disappointment were the fries that came with our meal, which were stale and cold. Elsa immediately brought them back to the kitchen when we asked, and on second try they hit the spot. Our water was replenished regularly, which is very important at high altitude. We have eaten at Toro often in the past (pre Covid), and we greatly look forward to seeing them return to a busy, happy place.
First time out in a very long time due to pandemic. It was a beautiful meal.
Under cooked lamb chops which needed to be sent back; strange because the restaurant was 90% empty, so, seems like the time it needed to pay attention to the food was amply available to the cook. Also there is a 20% service charge (i.e. tip) that we were never informed of and almost left another 20% on top! The host was gracious and said “we randomly add the tip, because some people don’t tip!”. Offensive to my German husband who only caught the debacle because my math sucks and I asked him to check it for me!
Beautiful view of the mountain in the main dining room. The bar is more intimate and serves the same menu.
Eclectic menu with delicious sushi , guacamole and salmon.
Brussels Caesar was the highlight!
Grazed on apps
Had a great time
Waiter was terrific
The seafood was the star of this dinner with amazing ceviche, oysters, and lobster. Only to be outdone by the filet, and, of course, the most delicious churros I have ever tasted! Couldn’t have asked for a better meal or more wonderful service and ambiance. A must go to when visiting Snowmass!
Excellent experience. Highly recommend the sea bass and the short rib - in addition to tasting great, they were works of art.
Fabulous service, delicious meals (beef tenderloin, lamb chops) great cocktails. Very nice place.
Beautiful restaurant with an extended menu. Brussel sprout Caesar salad was especially interesting and delicious.
Mostly good except grocery store quality sushi. We had a group of 12 with kids and didn’t feel very wanted.
Menu was limited and a bit off but I do not hold that against them because it was their first night to be open since the county went Stage Red with the COVID virus and they were having to set up in an outside tent. I have eaten at the restaurant previously and it has been great.
We also had some sushi this night and I am a sushi "snob" and can tell you that the rolls were as good as any at higher end sushi restaurants. Please support them.
Christmas Eve dinner
Great food. Best oysters and Brussels sprout salad ever.
Outstanding food, wonderful cocktails and great service.
Fantastic thanksgiving dinner!
Food was fabulous!
Staff is friendly and accommodating.
We will return for sure!
RIN-eye steak advertised as prime wasn’t even choice.
Food was good, nice decor and live singing, only issue we had was I ordered my kids food 10 minutes before my own ( I do that regularly as kids get antsy and hungry) my food came out first , so I told them to bring it back until the kids food was ready ( they did do that) , any family friendly restaurant should understand this.
Part of the reason we choose to stay at the Viceroy is Toro. Love the on site restaurant whether for casual breakfast or a dinner date.
Madelyn our server was wonderful. She makes the best sweet tea! The steaks were cooked to perfection and the sea bass was delicious. We loved every bite of two appetizers, four entrees, three desserts and several alcoholic drinks. This meal was not inexpensive but worth every bite. Great way for us to end our EPIC 2020 ski trip to Snowmass!
Terrible service. We ordered appetizers and before we could finish them they came to remove the dishes saying our main course was coming. The main course shows up before we finish our appetizers so we send the main course back to the kitchen. No one comes over to apologize or explain. When the main course comes the food is overcooked and dry (especially the fish). No one comes to check on the food served. Had to repeatedly ask for water glass to be refilled. Feel sorry for the people staying at the viceroy since the only restaurant there. Won’t see me back at Toro again. State 38 has much better food, ambience and service - a much better value not to far from the Viceroy.
The service was really quite poor this past Sunday. It was so disappointing. Food was just so so. it was our second time to eat there in one week, and we’ve never had a poor experience. This was definitely a surprise. It’s was like visiting two different restaurants.
We’ve been to toro several times and absolutely love it! The churros are the absolute best!
We had a very nice dinner of apps. Short rib tacos are excellent. The ceviche was also very good and the brussels sprouts salad was terrific. My wife liked the grilled octopus more than I. Everything about 15% more expensive than it should be .. even in a mountain town.
Best food in The Valley. The chef is extremely creative and innovative. The food was cooked perfectly. No better restaurant in The Valley..
The drinks and appetizers were delicious, but the steak was cooked to almost a medium well and we ordered medium rare... when the main course for a birthday dinner is not cooked to order at a steakhouse it is disappointing. I thought more (anything) could have been done to remedy the situation.
A disappointment. Food was mediocre and service was slow.
