Went out for dinner and tried a few dishes, overall solid experience. The food came out super fast and our server was so sweet, which made everything better. The Kanpachi Crudo was the standout for me. It was super fresh and well-balanced, and the sauce it was sitting in was honestly unreal. The orange, radish and olives gave it the perfect bite and crunch. Such a light, beautiful addition to the meal. The Lotus Chips came in second for me - crispy, lightly glazed, and lowkey addictive. They had that perfect sweet-spicy thing going on without being greasy. I could’ve easily eaten a whole bowl to myself. The Crying Tiger Steak was good, just not amazing. The flavor was there and it was cooked alright, but it didn’t wow me. The dipping sauce definitely made it amazing though. The Brussels Sprouts were probably my least favorite. Not bad, but a bit too saucy for my taste. Some of the pieces still had a good crisp, and the chickpeas were fun, but the sauce kind of overpowered everything.

Amazing food, beautifully plated, ample portions, with attentive service. Our server Miguel was so kind to our party, as we celebrated a special occasion and went out of his way to make it extra special. We had the tasting menu and it did not disappoint. Each course was a delight. My favourite was the bison, which was melt in your mouth tender and incredibly flavourful. And the halibut curry was a close second. I would def go back.

Went to Torafuku for brunch because the pictures I've been seeing looked good. I went there for the first time today. We ordered the Lotus Chips, Maitake Tempura for our appies, and Prawn Toast for our main. We also ordered the Matcha Madness Cocktail. The Maitake Tempura and Lotus Chips we're very good. The lotus chips were crispy, tossed in sweet chili sauce. The Maitake Tempura was perfectly battered and fried. The Prawn Toast we didn't really enjoy. The gochujang aioli drizzled on top was flavourful, but the toast itself was quite greasy and heavy. I had to keep dousing it with lemon juice to cut through the fattiness. The matcha cocktail was delicious and definitely not watered down. Overall, the food was good except for prawn toast which was underwhelming. My biggest disappointment is the service. They served the Lotus Chips first but didn't give us any cutlery or napkins. I thought probably we're supposed to eat it with our hands because they are chips afterall. Then came the tempura. They still didn't give us napkins, cutlery or share plates. I had to ask for some napkins because the sweet chili sauce from the lotus chips got my fingers sticky. Still was not given cutlery. We definitely needed them for the tempura. We had to ask for it. Then the prawn toast came. Thankfully, we finally had cutlery and napkins. The server never asked us how our food was until we were done eating and about to ask for the bill. My friend and I weren't impressed by our dining experience. Probably won't go back.

Had a really lovely time! Sat in the booths close to the kitchen in the evening and the noise level was fine. Got the tasting menu with mocktail pairings and flavours were really great. Fave mocktail was the Kyoto Summer (tho Romance Dawn was a close second just for the One Piece reference) and fave dish was the cod, it was perfect. Used to get kickass rice bowls all the time from their food truck Le Tigre pre-pandemic and I'm so happy I finally made it here. They also brought us an extra dessert as it was my partners birthday. Would go back!

My partner and I enjoyed the chefs 7 course tasting menu. It was fantastic. The flavors were simple and fresh but eclectic. The food was well presented and the service was excellent. The portions for 2 were very generous. We both left Torafuku satiated. The decor is contemporary bordering on industrial. The music is at a nice volume allowing for good conversation but maintaining a lively atmosphere. The non-alcoholic drinks pairing was complimentary and very fresh in its flavours. The price point is fantastic especially considering the portions and food quality. I highly recommend Torafuku and will be back again.
