Came here for the happy hour and ordered a whole bunch of dishes and cocktails to try, loved all of them! The cocktails were delicious (recommend the Emmarosa) and the dishes were unique yet scrumptious. The girl who served us was really nice and friendly as well, would definitely recommend!
Great rice bowls ..great quality food..will be back again.
Lunch service was attentive. Drinks were very nice, food was good. The tomato peach salad could use more acidity. Duck cold noodles and dumplings were yummy.
Always a treat!!!
Excellent from start to finish. Must try. Great place to bring friends visiting from out of town.
Tried the Anniversary Omakase and really enjoyed it. The food and drink were expertly presented and tasted amazing. The space is well suited for small groups to enjoy each other's company and having the plexiglas shields up helped put us at ease.
We came for here for an anniversary dinner and LOVED it. We had the Anniversary Omakase tasting menu - excellent value for money - 7 dishes with good portion sizes. We were appropriately full at the end. We also had some exceptional cocktails.
The food was a bit slow, but otherwise 0 complaints. The service was fantastic and it was a lovely evening. The Rainbow trout, in particular, was incredible.
Fabulous food. We had the set menu for 7 people. They added an extra portion for the seventh person. The food was delicious and well presented. The cocktails were excellent and complex. Service was attentive, even though they were a full house on a Saturday night.
Great food, decent service. We came for the omakase which was wonderful. After an hour and halfway through our main course with only dessert to follow we were informed that we needed to be going faster so they could make the next reservation. We felt rushed, and we felt bad for our server who had to deal with an overbooked restaurant. It put a sour taste in our mouth which kinda sucks at a tasting menu experience. First dine in I've done since pandemic, not excited to go back to torafuku.
Great service, but it was bad management that rushed us
Anniversary tasting menu was amazing!! Great cocktails and food- service was outstanding- definitely will be back
Enjoyed the food very much. The chef who we haven’t seen for months came out and talked to us. He remembered us and welcomed us back. Great atmosphere. Great covid protocols. Will definitely be back.
We love Torafuku!!! It's our favorite restaurant in Vancouver. The food, drinks, atmosphere and staff are all amazing! Truly, the best!
Absolutely a must try if you visit Vancouver. It's Asian fusion cuisine at its finest and most inventive. We sat outside to ensure COVID safety and ordered the fried sable fish, kale salad, magic mushrooms and trout with vegetables.
My business partner and I were particularly impressed with the trout with vegetables. The magic mushrooms dish is an inventive mix of mushrooms and Korean rice cakes. The fried sable fish could be a bit bony for non-Asians, but the kale salad is incredibly flavorful.
It's a Vancouver gem nestled in the belly of Main Street, and I absolutely recommend Torafuku to anyone who visits Vancouver seeking an inventive haut cuisine.
Came with a group of friends and was able to snag a last minute reservation on their patio. The street-side patio was spaced out with picnic tables and umbrellas. Our group decided to go with their anniversary omakase. The food came out at a good pace and was really delicious. I'd speak highly of every single course we had. The portions were relatively easy to split among us. Everything we had was quality and what I would have expected of this meal. I ordered the matcha madness and was advised it was more of an after-dinner drink. I still ordered it and was glad I did, highly recommend if you like matcha and a sweet (but not too sweet) drink.
One major downside for me was when I went into the washroom. Opening the heavy front door I gashed my foot open as there is a metal bar on the lower portion of the door. It was bad, but I didn't want to make a scene. I don't know why they haven't fixed this. One of my friends went in to ask for a band aid and she said they seemed to know about this issue. They brought a couple bandaids but weren't overly apologetic. In hindsight I probably should have said something because my foot bled pretty badly and I almost passed out at the table when I returned. Over a week later my foot still hurts.
Recommend the food and the restaurant but watch out for the front door.
We loved everything! Special thank you for making us special espresso martinis!!!
Great meal! Food and service were wonderful. Would definitely go back.
It was good. Okay. Not the service I expected, although she was gentle. The food was okay. I won’t go back. You can try it. But there are plenty restaurants so…
Great service, nice ambiance. Very creative takes on Rice bowls, that, as the menu suggests, do really "kickass".
Can't believe I'm saying this, but the Brussel sprout salad 3.0 was actually a HUGE highlight for my wife and I... I know, it's a brussle sprout salad.. but trust me, it's amazing.
Great non franchise restaurant with outstanding food.
Awesome food. Great service. Sat outside on the patio which was a little loud but still great.
It was our first time trying Torafuku and we enjoyed our meal and found it was good value. We had the Duck set for Two with 3 appetizers and the Duck set and dessert. There's easily enough food for 3 people in my opinion. My favourite was the Brussels sprouts salad with crunchy cauliflowers, broccoli and quinoa, the dressing was perfect tying everything together; the slight bitterness was surprising;y good. I would like to have more fois gras stuffed in the Chicken Wings but I must say, the Watermelon and Ricotta cheese salad was refreshing. The Duck was meaty, the soy and whipped fois gras spread was substantial; please give us more buns! Lastly, the Basque cheesecake was HUGE for two.... or maybe we were too full at that point! Service was great, ambience was causal and lively; overall it was very good. We'll be back!
The service is always amazing and the staff are so friendly and welcoming! The timing of our dishes were very well spaced out. The drinks are delicious as well! Torafuku is my go to restaurant for a night out.
One of my favourite places to eat, food is always amazing!!
Excellent food! I’ve never had broccoli or brussel sprouts taste so amazing! Will highly recommend
Beef noodle soup, duck confit cold noodle and kale salad are my favorite lunch dishes today. Very tasty!
I also ordered calamari but the batter is too much for me.
Great dinner! The servers seemed a bit understaffed with only 2 of them working a full restaurant, but they were very friendly and helpful, and the food was amazing!
All staff and servers were so accommodating and friendly. Food was amazing!
The food here is INCREDIBLE!! Brought our friends from out of town and everyone was blown away!
Great service, fantastic food, furniture can use some updating
Beautifully presented and every dish ordered was delicious. Each bite made my mouth sing and want more. I will be back for sure; next time for dinner!
Food and cocktails were amazing. Staff were very friendly
Highly recommend this restaurant. We had no idea what to expect coming here and were very pleasantly surprised by the exceptional service and the high quality of the food. I had the Rice and Noodle Bowl with Chicken and Crack Salad. What a delicious combo. Worth visiting, I will be back often.
Chicken wings were burnt. Toast that came with mussels were burnt :/
We had a reso and we arrived early. We checked in and they asked us to return in 15 minutes. We walked around the block and returned in 15 minutes (past our reso time) - we waited and they seated the people who arrived after us first. There was and empty booth we asked if we could have and they said it was for the next guest - we ended up sitting on small stools with little back support. Overall the food was good, just not a nice way to be greeted and begin and experience. The cocktails were delicate and lovely.
I've now had two incredible experiences at Torafuku. The menu is creative and made with love and the service was lovely both times. I will definitely be coming back!
Great food and great service. Came for the Dine Out menu and the food was cooked perfectly. Definately recommend this restaurant!
There was a good selection of vegetarian dishes. As for the seating we were sitting on backless stools that were hard and not very comfortable. At the time we were seated the booths were not available. Perhaps specify that you want a booth at the time of reservation.
Very tasty good. Good size portions. Will be going back.
The food was interesting fusion. What I wanted to mention about is the restaurant’s service. Especially it is about the wrong bill. After my friend paid the whole meal, another friend noticed our friend paid more about 90 dollars than the bill which we supposed to pay. I feel it is very unfortunate that we had to call and ask the payment that we made was right or not. The server returned and gave the differences back. But they seemed not really bothered, nor apologetic gestures much. It wasn’t really appreciated experiences after the meal.
Always good food and service. Sad that they no longer have the wagyu bowl though.
