Totally wonderful meal with the tuna and osso bucco exceptional. Sydney was a wonderful server. Highly recommend Topsail.
Had dinner on January 7. The food was excellent though our server indicated the fish special was salmon and turned out to be maui when it arrived at the table. All three of us heard salmon so we were a bit surprised but fortunately the person in our group that ordered salmon was fine with the mahi. This could have been a disappointment for other guests and a unnecessary expense to the restaurant to redo the order. We are trying to support local restaurants along the SC coast during this challenging pandemic. To that end, we were surprised that after requesting specifically, and being seated at, a table away from others, another party was sat right next to use while all other indoor tables were empty. As I pointed out the food was excellent but we will not consider returning again until well after the pandemic due to the seating. Similarly, we will not be recommending it to others during this time either.
The food was fantastic, the service was great. We really enjoyed the Sunday brunch and will be returning. Ryan the bartender was a joy.
We are visitors. Our experience was wonderful. We were kind of disappointed with other restaurants in the area and Topsail changed our opinions. This restaurant made us to come back the next day.
This was a great choice for date night with my wife. The food was deftly prepared and the scallops were especially sublime. Really enjoyed our waiter, who made thoughtful recommendations.
Great food and service!!
Great waitress! Great food. Perfect romantic dinner.
My family goes to a nice dinner every year for Christmas Eve and we like to choose new spots. I have two boys 9 and 12 and they loved their meal. They had the filet mignon, my husband had the lobster and I enjoyed the flounder stuffed with crab. There wasn’t a bad bite on anyone’s plate! In fact my youngest has a birthday in April and asked if we could go to dinner here again. Thanks for a wonderful Christmas dinner despite this crazy year, we felt comfortable and would definitely dine here again!
Good service but very hit and miss with food. Good calamari, oysters and mussels were good for appetizers, but nothing too write home about. Flounder special, she crab soup and tuna were way below average. Tuna was dry (even prepared rare), need some type of sauce. She crab soup was too sweet. Flounder was tasteless. Sat out side fronting a busy road. Will not be going back.
Quaint restaurant with excellent service, delicious food and drinks for the perfect dinner date with the hubs. We returned after enjoying a family dinner here while on vacation over the summer.
Food abs service were outstanding. Looking forward to returning. Loved the Osso Bucco!
One of our very favorite restaurants. The first time for Sunday brunch was a success. The steak was tender and very flavorful. We will be back.
One of few outings we’ve had during Covid
Food was excellent... friendly staff... the curried mussels were my favorite... will be back and bring friends!
Food was good and everyone who works there is nice and courteous! Definitely will be back.
The hostess was rude and unwelcoming. They tried to seat our group of 6 at a fire pit for dinner and when we asked for a real table they tried to squeeze us at a table for four when other larger tables were available and acted like we were unreasonable. The food and our service was great but the first-impression from the hostess put a damper on our evening.
Great service, very tasty seafood.
Attentive servers and delicious meal
Best scallops I have ever had
Wonderful staff, excellent food, beautiful patio setting.
Great food and very friendly service. I will definitely be back.
We were seated in a small room that had no ambiance because the lighting was so bright. When I asked the waitress why the room was so bright she stayed oh someone must have requested it. Hint it was operating room bright other room by bar much more charming.
Sitting outside was loud from traffic. We chose outside when making reservation but thought we would be in tent. Service was good. Our meal was just 'okay'. She Crab soup was oily with very little crab and a strong taste of an herb (maybe Thyme?) The device was delicious! My Salmon Stuffed with Crab had a really strong flavored sauce on top which overpowered the taste of the salmon,
Plus there was hardly any crab inside. My BF had the filet and said it was 'average'. I had been looking forward to trying Topsail but doubt I will go back. There is a really cute little outside space with a fire pit. Would be great for a small group doing drinks and appetizers
The food and the service were great. We really enjoyed it.
Outdoor dining was important to us . . . and even if we were up against a busy street, I’d rather put up with traffic noise for a safer environment. The restaurant staff is trying hard to accommodate everyone’s needs. We felt safe although large groups were nearby daring Covid. Food was good, service was attentive and cheerful, and we enjoyed a nice bottle of Sancerre. All in all, a good choice.
I had amazing experience last night. The food was awesome. And my sever was awesome Sidney.
Very good service. The food was mediocre & not as on the menu.
Found this place online, Read Reviews and Wow were they right! Excellent Food , service and Drinks. Surprised us since it Does not look Fancy at all, Only drawback was it was right on the road, we ate outside. But it was Covid safe !!!! but so so Good.
Probably the best meal in 4 days of going out to eat in Charleston S.C.
I had the Red Snapper, whole and my girlfriend had the Arugula Salad , and the Sous Vide Chicken Breast Mediterranean vegetable medley, gnocchi, lemon caper sauce
Great restaurant! Tables a little too close together during social distancing requirements!
Fantastic food, service, cocktails and staff!!! You will not be disappointed!
Extremely tasty dinner. Ambience was very special and conducive for a romantic evening.
Great seafood! We enjoyed our dinner and will return.
I specifically requested the outside table on the far right in the back (the fire pit) for a special evening. I even called two days before to confirm we would have this table and the manager assured me it was a done deal. However, when we arrived the hostess didn’t have a clue about it, tried to seat us elsewhere and unfortunately I had to pitch a fit and demand we get the table I was promised. This really put a damper on what was a triple birthday celebration with my wife and friends. Once seated, All of the food was wonderful except the octopus, which was very disappointing - very little octopus given and couldn’t distinguish it from the potatoes.
My friend and I were greeted by friendly staff and as alwsys service was top notch.
Her entree was a featured special--a seafood trio with crab, shrimp and scallops in a delectable sauce.
I ordered one of Topsail's popular dinner salads: arugula, strawberries, alm ok nds and tiny crumbles of feta. I asked for a side order of their perfect fried shrimp, thinking they would be on a solo plate, the salad in another.
When orders arrived, nearby patrons admired the chef's presentation, especially mine. Kudos to Topsail's chef for "creating" a one-plate presentation of mounded salad encircled by local, perfectly seasoned shrimp-- with a tasty homemade cocktail sauce.
An enjoyable dinner was even more special, on T's "half off wine night," with a nice bottle of cabernet to share.
My son and I went in without knowing what to expect (shot in the dark on Open Table), and were pleasantly surprised. Our waiter was quite chatty, but not in an obnoxious way, and was actually very informative and entertaining. Our food (I had salmon, and he had the whole fish) was very good, but the accompanying sides were disappointing. We each ordered a key lime pie dessert, which was also very good (quite tart), but could have easily been shared by the two of us. The wine list was good, and we had a nice Pinot Noir at a reasonable price. I don't know that I'll have reason to be back in the Charleston/Mt. Pleasant area again, but I would probably dine with y'all again if I am.
Nice place to dine. Special blackened halibut fish was delicious. Lobster & grits was also good but everything was contained in two much liquid.
Nice wine selection. Great service.
We went to Topsail for a family birthday dinner. The lobster deviled eggs and shrimp appetizers were outstanding. I had the halibut which was delicious. The scallops also were a favorite at our table. Everyone was very happy with their meals and the service was prompt and personable.
Fish special was rubbery and un eatable. Everything else was great! Cheers!,
