Topsail Restaurant & Bar
Everything was wonderful!! Can’t wait to return!
It was fantastic. Will definitely return soon with friends.
This is a little gem of a restaurant. Third time here; all good meals! This time we had the salmon and the lobster and grits entrees. Both were excellent; the lobster dish is rich as one might expect, so if you aren't in the mood for that, try the scallops - always good, too. Love the cheerfulness of staff, the food and the ambience in other than the bar area.
We again took out-of-town guests, and the dinner was even better than our previous meal. Our server knew the long menu by heart. The four of us had three fried flounder specials, which were wonderful. The mac ‘n’ cheese was wonderful and enough to carry home. We definitely are big fans of Topsail.
Excellent fresh seafood. We were delighted to find this place. We each had different dishes (4) and apps. Everything was wonderful
Great food, great service, great ambience!
Wow! What a delightful and unexpected delight we found on Coleman Blvd, very. Close to downtown Charleston. Wonderful food, great service and none of the 'tude often encountered across the Cooper River!!! Great bar service, creative drinks, owner/chef and the handsome brothers. Eat, drink, lounge outside on the patio and no parking issues. We WILL be back again and look forward to trying some of their Happy Hour Delights. A great GEM is here in Mt. P!!
Great food and great service as always. We will definitely be back.
We were pleasantly surprised by Topsail - much nicer than we expected with lovely decor and a great menu. Our waiter Ryan was phenomenal and added much to a lovely evening.
Food was awesome.
Wonderful scallops. Creative meal. Great service
We just visited Topsail for the 2nd time and had another great experience. We had not tried Topsail until recently because of a bad experience in the restaurant that had been in the same location previously. Our mistake! Topsail is not owned by and is nothing like any prior restaurant in this location. The scallop dish was so tasty the first visit that I had to order it a 2nd time, and the other 3 were very happy with the whole flounder and the fried shrimp appetizer. All of us enjoyed the corn bread and hush puppies. One of the party on our first visit had the pork osso buoco and was raving about it. Ryan was an excellent, very professional and friendly server, and the rest of the staff was also very helpful and accommodating. We sat inside and enjoyed the ambiance, but the patio area is very nice as well. We look forward to our next visit!
It was our first time at Topsail, taking out-of-town relatives. We had heard good things about Topsail from NextDoor, the neighborhood forum. There were few diners -- it was a Sunday evening -- so the noise level was optimum. The food was delicious, from the crab cake and Thai coconut crab soup to the Tres Leches and cheesecake desserts. Our fellow diners said the salmon was among the best they had ever had. We asked the waiter, and he told us the salmon came from the Faroe islands off of Scotland. Our waiter seemed a little disoriented, but we never lacked good service. We will definitely return -- next week, with new out-of-town guests!
Great restaurant week menu, service was outstanding and the atmosphere was great. We will be back!
Good food great service I would highly recommend it to all my friends
The food was fairly good but the serve staff was excellent. The noise level was extreme due to a table closer to the bar area & a table close to where we were seated .
My friend and I had never been to Topsail and will definitely return. The food and service were both outstanding! I chose items from the restaurant week menu, and the portions were very generous and delicious. My friend had the scallops from the regular menu, and they were great! If you haven’t tried this local gem in Mt. Pleasant, you should!
Good food and service. Disappointed that menu was not current due to some items not being available. I appreciate commitment to fresh ingredients but disappointed to see something on the menu but not have it be available.
Food was wonderful; Only thing to be improved was our server, who was very nice, but way way too talkative. He's proud of his Sicilian heritage and that's what we listened to every time he came to the table. He was very polite, helpful, attentive, but talk, talk, talk. Loved the food and a very nice manager. Hope they succeed. We will return.
I love Topsail will definitely return. I love sitting in the bar area but on weekend nights it could be loud but it’s a ton of fun in the bar.
We’ve been 3 times and my experience is the food is very good and consistent. The service has been impeccable, no complaints at all. We have not been seated outside yet but when it cools off it should be great especially the way they have it decorated on the patio.
Out of the ballpark dining! Clean, comfortable, inviting ambience ... delicious food ... and a fabulous server. Dining doesn’t get any better!
Fresh local seafood. Had the Surf&Surf. Everything cooked to perfection.
Great food and great service. Will definitely be going back.
Excellent food and service. No dessert menu offered?
Well worth the visit. Food was very good as was the service. Portions were more than ample. Will visit again.
Everything about our experience Saturday night was wonderful. The food was absolutely delicious. Our waiter Robert was more than accommodating
The food superb, the service outstanding, the Chef is amazing he made a special dinner for my wife with a dairy allergy. The customer service is top notched. I will go back again and again
Fantastic food, great service. All around great.
This is a great place, diner is wonderful. I think lobster is the best. They cook it just right all the time. I have also had several other entree's and everything has been delicious. We are lucky to have such a nice place to dine in Mount Pleasant. This is not bar food, it's a fine dinning menu but still causal atmosphere.
I would recommend you go and see for yourself. However, they are getting busy, reservations might be in order, just to be sure of a table. Dottie Karst
Two of us had the Lobster grits, they were excellent! The other two in our party had the snapper which was the daily special and said it was very good as well. Will certainly be back again soon.
Nice new addition to the Coleman Road area of Mt. Pleasant. Worth a try.
Though very informal (shorts and flip flops welcome), Topsail hit all the bases for fine dining at a reasonable price. It has a welcoming atmosphere with jazz music playing , a creative menu, and fast friendly service. The cornbread and hush puppies with honey butter were addictive. The special entrees we had were well presented, delicious and arrive promptly. Their wine list is decent, but not extensive with very good wine for the money. For a 5 star meal in a relaxed setting, you must try Topsail. Highly recommended.
Our server didnt show up so we were pick up by another server. Food was very good but not great.... service is going to kill them.
We have dined here several times and it has always been great! Food, waitstaff and management are very accommodating. If seated in the bar area, it's a little tough to converse at a table for 6 but we have been seated in the adjacent area before and it's fine. Save room for dessert! If you are lucky enough to be there when they have fried oysters - they are superb. Can't go wrong with the special of the day, either. Yum!
This is our second time at this restaurant (we are local) and we have not been impressed either time. On this night, our table near the bar was very noisy, so much so that the waiter could not describe the specials loud enough for us to hear him. It quieted after 8pm. We each (3 of us) ordered a special. The scallops with peaches was not good (2 of us had chosen it) and I did not like the rice at the bottom of the dish either. Not much taste and an odd blend of aromas. We also had a cup of their Thai coconut crab soup. It was watery and bland - slight Thai spice but scant crab and 2 half cheery tomatoes. The fried monk fish special with potatoes was a much better dish. My son had ordered the scallops but I gave him my monk fish since he didn't like his dish -- I managed to eat part of it. The waiter could see we had switched dishes but didn't really ask any details about how we liked our food. The bottle of wine was good. We are not planning to go back.
Certainly a Charleston (Mt. Pleasant) treasure. Excellent food and service.
We had a very nice Sunday evening dinner. Food and service were great. Small crowd made it very quiet and comfortable.
We had a lovely evening here. Food was delivered quickly and was very fresh and delicious. Our apps were light and summery and main courses cooked nicely. We will definitely be back for more date nights! Also heard about the happy hour specials and looking forward to trying those out.
Our server was attentive & charming. Beverages and food delivered quickly. I’ll be back
Our 2nd visit to celebrate my birthday! Topsail did not disappoint! Great food, great service, great experience! You will not be sorry!
