Topsail Restaurant & Bar
Absolutely delicious food! Their chef is amazing!
I would like to go back as soon as possible
Eaten here twice. Both times I've eaten the special of the night and been very satisfied with my experience.
Service was very poor sat outside too much road noise to even talk. Food was good
Waitress was very nice. Bartender took very good care of us.
Actual menu is different than the on line menu. But everything was very good.
I don't know how our first experience at Topsail could have been better! My big fear now is that this restaurant will get so busy w can't get a reservation!
Excellent food, friendly competent knowledgeable staff
This was recommended by Father John at Sunrise. (I think I have the name right.) He showed us pictures of the food, and we were not disappointed. Will return.
Everything was terrific -- we'll be back!
Wonderful experience at Topsail! Kris gave us excellent service, and the food was delicious. Thank you, John, at Sunrise Bistro for recommending this new spot to us.
We really enjoyed our dinner tonight. The food was excellent along with Robert our server.
We have been here twice, but we have really enjoyed it both times. Food is delicious & well prepared. Service friendly & responsive. Great location for us from W.Ashley. Parking is a plus!! Would definitely recommend & will return.
Good food and AWESOME service!
The food and the service were outstanding. We will definitely be back.
Excellent food and service. The location is questionable. Dining room is very small and cramped and outdoor seating is close to very noisy and busy 4 lane street.
The food and service will bring me back but not for large party or intimate special occasions.
Everything we ate was absolutely delicious! Two of us ordered the special surf and turf; another person had the Osso buco, still another the Caesar salad, the fried oyster appetizer special and cups of she crab soup. All well prepared and presented. Our waiter was attentive and not intrusive, polite with a sense of humor - always a plus in my opinion. Parking was easy. The only reason I didn’t give it an overall 5 star review is because the building was redecorated since it was previously Finz but it’s not the ambience of a 5 star restaurant. Regardless, the food was wonderful and as locals, we will be back!
We loved dining at Topsail! We had great service and delicious food! We ordered Osso Bucco and Lobster Grits! It was all really good. The lobster grits could have had a little more lobster in the dish, however! Too many onions, not enough lobster! The addition of shrimp would help this entree! We just went for a kind of quick supper that night, no drinks or wine. We just made a reservation sort of at the last minute, and we’re happy that we went. We had been there before, and we find it to always be a great place to dine! So glad Topsail is in Mt. Pleasant!
Kris was an excellent server and our meal was outstanding!
Great food and atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit.
Our food was delicious and hot when it was served. We'll be going back, as there was a lot on the menu we would like to try.
Love this new little place in Mount Pleasant. Food is outstanding and ambience is pleasantly relaxed and inviting!
Took two friends for dinner and had never been before so had my finger's crossed; we had a salmon entree,
a monk fish entree, and a soft shell crab entree preceded by cups of crab soup. We each loved our meals! and the soup was the best ever -- even beating out Charleston restaurants that profess to have the best! I didn't know what to expect from this unassuming looking place -- now I know! I will be back and highly recommend it to all - Service was great too, but admittedly it was a weekend night and not packed.
The food was amazing! I had the pan seared scallops with bacon jam. Delicious 😋
2nd visit there.....very small restaurant, so reservations are a must. I think some of their items are really $$$ and will be scaring off people after a while. Kitchen was slow, so our waiter seemed anxious to please us. Took us over 2-1/2 hrs. from beginning to end........
So disappointed. Monk fish tough and tasteless. Chicken over cooked and just piled on the pasta.
Best arugula salad and soft shell crab in town. The staff makes an effort to ensure you have a good experience. Wine menu ok. Will definitely return
There are not enough superlatives to describe my recent dining experience at this wonderful addition to fine dining in the Charleston, SC area. It is so satisfying to note that the food and presentation is a chef’s labor of love. The only thing I missed is my after dinner espresso because they do not yet have a machine.
If they would just fancy up the somewhat plain Brussels sprouts it would be perfect.
The food and service were excellent. We plan to go back.
Went here with another couple for dinner. We were warmly greeted and promptly seated. That was when the problems began. We ordered entrees and over an hour later, we were still waiting for our food. The explanation was that they were very busy and had a large party to serve. This should not be a customers problem. Our waitress was apologetic and very nice but this is inexcusable. We complained and half the price was taken off our bill. That is good but really should never be necessary. The food itself was ok. My soft shell crab was too heavily breaded and the breading was bland. My husband had the lobster dish which amounted to less lobster meat than the 1 and 1/2 lbs it was supposed to be. Overall, they need to work out the kitchen issues. I would not go back.
Loved the setting. Fun and varied. Great live music, comfortable couches around a fire pit. Active bar area and quieter “porch” like seating. The lobster/crab cocktail was delicious and the scallops with bacon jam and pea purée was amazing! Service was very good. I observed some customers who were rather difficult and in my opinion the staff handled them beautifully. We will definitely be back!
Amazing cocktails and food! Everything that we had was wonderful. Highly recommend the habanero passionfruit cocktail!
Incredible find - quiet spot with laid back atmosphere, good soft background music, awesome drinks and food. Highly recommend local cocktails, she-crab soup, surf 'n surf. Excellent restaurant!
Love the remodel, nice atmosphere, quiet enough to carry on a conversation, very comfortable.
Food was good, service nice, and cocktails and wine pours were generous. Will definitely go back.
Top Sail is one of our favorites and is on our frequent flyer list. It is one of the few low noise level adult dining experiences in Mt Pleasant plus their seafood entrees are exceptional for east of the Cooper. The seafood has been so good we haven’t tried anything else.
Exceptional! Food service and ambiance all exceptional!
AVOID. Too much to list, but zero guests on a Sat night, staff hanging out in their cars, HAIR in my deviled eggs (and Mgmt did not want to take off tab, my server asked them to and they took off 50% since I ate some before finding the hair!). Only good things are server Josh, who should be working downtown at a great restaurant, and decor is nice.
Very nice atmosphere. Most of the food was excellent. Loved the hushpuppies and cornbread.
Apps were great. My only concern was the chicken dish with pasta that was not my favorite and the
chicken might be browned more for a better appearance and taste. Otherwise good to try especially as the weather improves with outdoor seating.
We loved it all.... our meal, the clean attractive interior, the service, and the food! All of it was excellent!!! The background music wasn’t too loud, and the diners weren’t loud for a change from other local restaurants!!! Our server, Josh, is the best in town!!
We are so happy you guys are here with Topsail!!
Love this new spot! We’ve eaten there a few times, and it’s always been great!
Food was warm not hor
