It was a Perfect way to end our amazing holiday here in Hawaii. Beautiful views, food was sensational and the service was incredible. Thank you x
A must go to for dinner at Waikiki! Service terrific and view amazing.
Much better bar experience from the last time we visited. Came extra early before dinner reservation. There were seats available at the bar. I still do not like the way they advertise a happy hour but only allow you in if there is a seat. There is no standing and there is not a lot of bar seats. Once you get in or if you do not plan on going to the bar before dinner the remainder of the experience is awesome! The atmosphere, view, food all amazing! We have the dinner for 2. A bit pricey but we throughly enjoyed every bite. Overall very good. We like to enjoy a cocktail before dinner and just don't like the way they run there happy hour seating. Especially when we were with another couple and if there is only 2 seats then only 2 are allowed in or they will give the seats to another couple until 4 seats open, and that may not happen.
While usually a phenomenal experience, this visit was just okay! Food took forever to arrive and the service was honestly mediocre at best.
Very fun and interesting place. Food was amazing and the 360 view was out of this world.
Service was excellent. Portions were tiny.
The Experience Was Great. “PERFECT”
Way to noisy..food was fair ..service was ok typical Waikiki over priced for quality
Absolutely fabulous food and venue to enjoy our holiday
The food and service have greatly improved, of course fantastic views. Ask about the kama’aina offer.
I have had the pleasure of dining at a number of revolving restaurants. Some depend on the novelty and the changing view to generate a steady flow of customers, and the meals and service are secondary considerations. Not so at the Top of Waikiki ... this is fine dining, Hawaii style. While the dress code is relaxed (no sleeveless tee shirts, please), the service is prompt, friendly and professional. Food proportions are ample (no one in our party felt a need for either an appetizer or dessert), and as we say in the islands, 'ono (delicious). In fact, our dinner at the Top of Waikiki was easily the best that my guests enjoyed during their week long stay in Honolulu. Cocktails were what you would expect at a good restaurant, and the view of the ocean, Diamond Head, the Ko'olau Mountains and downtown will stay with my guests for a long time. Reservations are recommended, but we called ahead the day before and had no difficulty arranging a table for three on a Saturday evening. Prices were not cheap, but neither were they unreasonable and kama'aina rates are available. I highly recommend the Top of Waikiki, both to visitors and to those who have the privilege of living in paradise.
Waited nearly 1.5 hours for our food with no communication and no actual service as she came by once after we ordered.
Good food, great location, not so good service. We were a table of 11. Were told no separate checks until finally they agreed to 4 separate checks but would not apply more than 1 credit card to each check. In this day/age, computers do all the work of payment so it should not be a problem. Food was delish is expensive.
Amazing experience, definitely worth going at sunset!
Not sure what happened between my last visit in 2017 and recently, but now the quality of the food has gone down hill just a bit. I ordered a steak which was delivered on the “cool side” which made me question how long it had sat. The Foie Gras was really good but everything else lacked. Money spent for quality was clearly greater than the latter. Service was good and the view is still excellent. A lot of seats however were available which made me think that people might be looking elsewhere rather than going back.
I had not dined at the Top of Waikiki since the early 70s and was happy to find that its ambiance, quality of service and menu remained excellent. Its decor had been updated (probably several times) and now allows for better views of Waikiki from virtually every table. It was a memorable experience and I will be back soon! Aloha!
Excellent server! Would definitely return to this restaurant. Great view. Relaxing. We told server we were not in a hurry and enjoyed a 3 hour dinner.
48th wedding anniversary.
We have been telling everyone how wonderful the restaurant was and that the food was delicious!!
We decided to check out the top of Waikiki while here on Vacation. The restaurant was a big hit with the kids for obvious reasons. The food was very good, fresh, and portion sizes were perfect. Would definitely recommend for a special
Everything was fabulous! I don't have a bad thing to say! I highly recommend this place to everyone.
I took my girlfriend who’s from Honolulu to celebrate and she couldn’t have been more impressed. We ended up having the filet mignon (each) which had been made very well (we ordered medium rare). I had timed our reservations for the sun to set and it may have been the only thing that could’ve distracted us from our food. Everyone had been incredibly kind and knowledgeable providing great recommendations for other things we ordered. It all made for the perfect evening that we won’t soon forget.
Wow, great food and great service. Tried some delicious cocktails, great New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, out of this world scallops and grilled tuna. Only down side is at peak dining it was a very loud and busy, but had thinned out a bit by 7.30 pm which created a more ambient experience.
Looking for the perfect topper for your stay in Waikiki?...well look no further! My wife and I were celebrating our 29th Anniversary and Top of Waikiki completely knocked it out of the park! The 360 views were breath-taking...our Server, Darren, was incredibly attentive...and the Filet Mignon was some of the finest we have ever had. You want to go home feeling on top of the world...then, make your reservation NOW for Top of Waikiki!
The food, the service, the atmosphere and the view were amazing! We had the scallops, the beet, avocado and goat cheese salad and the surf and turf. All the food was bright, flavorful and fresh. The cocktails were also great, I really enjoyed the Kona Winds. The apple pie was a perfect end to the meal.
We wanted to try a other revolving dining restaurant and was excited to see this offered in Waikiki. The ambiance was great and we got to see the views of the city, which was nice. The food was not so good. I had the prime rib which had a lot of fat and very stringy/chewy. The calamari did not have any flavor and the coating was a bit soggy. On the flip side My son had the lobster which he said was very good...but they charge you an extra $10 to have it shelled (we dine out a lot and this was a first).
A few notes on the service..they were attentive but many times reached over all of us to place utensils or water on the table. It was awkward at best, in most fine dining establishments the servers would walk around the table to place utensils on the table.
Would not recommend this restaurant for the price that we paid.
The food was very tasty and delicious!!! Service was quick and atmosphere was perfect!
Calamari was over cooked. Steak had a fish juice and tomato topping. Server warned that topping could lower the temperature when ordering, but did not mention the fish juice. Did not eat it at all, but did remove it from the bill.
Everything was AWESOME but the portion size was small for the price, my opinion.
The view was nice. Food average. Price is average as well. This was recommended by the concierge at my hotel. I will have to think twice to recommend it to someone else.
Service was slow, food was good but expensive. Sign said "Proper Attire Required" yet many men in tshirts and a number of small children running around. At one point this used to be the highlight of my wife's and mine trip. Even went as far as to find babysitters on the island so that we could go (since this was not the kind of place you should take small children). This is likely the last time we'll be going.
Before arriving, given the location and views I was expecting this to be a high price restaurant. On arrival the attention to service and views were outstanding. I had a Cioppino for main, if you like seafood then this is an absolute bargain and tasted great. Adult son had surf and turf, with the surf being lobster, again he said tasted great but double the price of the Cioppino. Overall five adults and 1 child was $396 with two alcoholic drinks each, and three courses. Highly recommend for that special night.
The atmosphere was very good.
The restaurant is beautiful with great views. It must be just as good during the day. The food was immaculate and the service was on point. I would definitely come back again. My recommendation would be to have a larger selection of beer.
Both my wife and I asked for our steak to be cooked medium and they came out quite rare, which was quite amusing since they also came out pretty late I would have assumed they’d come out closer to well done. The service its’ self was decent enough, however I’ve had better service at a Texas road house. And steak actually.
Terrible experience here. They overcharge and give you very little and it took us an hour and a half to get our dinner.
Prices were far too expensive for the amount and quality of the food. For my husband and I, on our anniversary, we thought we could come try it out and enjoy a nice meal to celebrate because we had heard good things about it. We ordered an appetizer, and a meal of our choice each. Our bill was $190 without the tip, and we left hungry and irritated. There were children running and screaming around the area, and our food took an hour to come out. The food was only okay tasting. We’ve been to nicer restaurants in the area that had much better food, larger portions, and much cheaper. The size of meats were the size of a child’s hand. We each ordered an alcoholic beverage each, which were $15 dollars each for a small glass. The drinks did not even taste good and certainly weren’t worth $15 each. We will absolutely not be returning to this restaurant. It was a waste of money and the experience was not worth it. I could get an even better view of Waikiki from the beach or any other hotel and it would be more romantic than sitting in the dark waiting an hour on food that would take 5 minutes to eat. We had high hopes for this place, but we wouldn’t even recommend this place to a stranger much less friends or family. Pretty sad when you spend $200 and then leave to stop by Taco Bell on the way home and enjoy that more than your entire meal.
Great service and Hannah was exceptional.
