We had two servers- one gentleman was a bit abrupt and didn't seem to know what was going on. The other was a woman who was very attentive and seemed to take note of the different things that my daughter could not have due to allergies. However, when the food came out, allergens were mixed in and present and the server gaslighted us a bit saying there was no sesame or nuts on the plate when there were clearly sesame seeds on the bread?! Strange service. Not a lot of check ins. The restaurant was fairly empty and quiet. Nothing was done for our birthday girl except a birthday wish. Food was delicious, regardless. Just wish the service was better!

You can't beat farm to table ingredients and these folks know how to deliver quality food and delicious meals. The staff is also obviously very passionate and it shows. It's a bit noisy (for my old ears) but I'll be going back and buying my friends gift cards!

The food is inspired. Original dishes and flavors. Every dish is thoughtful, and each complements the others. Terrific for sharing. The restaurant is a definite asset for the south east bay. I do wish that they would eliminate the self-service ordering. It takes away from the dining out experience. If I'm out with friends, I want to enjoy them, not fiddle with my phone, and inevitably screw up the order.

The food was unique and delicious. We enjoyed sharing the mushroom pate with cheese for an appetizer as well as the oysters. The rockfish for the main dish was scrumptious, soft and tender inside, crispy outside. The small donuts for dessert were amazing! That being said, I felt the prices were a little high. It was fun to share everything, and the staff was friendly.

Three of us shared Savory Donuts (always get these!), roasted peppers and green beans, whole roasted fish, and a squash entree, then sesame mochi dessert. It was spectacular.

Delicious meal! We loved all the flavors and different cooking styles of our meal. Drinks were delicious. The QR code system was easy and fun to use, and the staff helped when we had questions about anything. We’d definitely go again!

Excellent! Wanted to try this location bc of the numerous Bib Gourmand awards. Certainly lived up to our expectations! Brought a few foodie friends & they agreed! We tried a variety of items & throughly enjoyed them all! 6 people, 8 dishes, couple hot teas, drip coffee & iced melon soda. Total including tip about $300. Felt it was a great buy for the quality & quantity of food & service. Lone waitress for entire place did a great job: friendly, informative, & kept us well attended without being intrusive.

As usual, the food and drinks were delicious and service was prompt, helpful and friendly. The only disappointment was that there are a lot of wasps in the area so while we were hoping to eat outdoors on a beautiful day, they kindly suggested we switch our plans to go indoors.

As always, I had a great experience at Top Hatters. Marco, the bartender, provides excellent service and makes truly tasty cocktails. I brought a newcomer with me and he really enjoyed the food and the vibe as well. Looking forward to returning again in the future.

It is great to find a upscale restaurant in San Leandro. I am looking forward to returning for dinner to try the ox-tails. The peach and melon salad was so yummy. Save room for those donuts with the dip sauces.

I was disappointed that the portion on my pork vermicelli was very little. I order this dish each time I come to the restaurant and the dish is usually more than enough for me but today the whole dish was very little and left still hungry. I usually leave about two big pieces of pork and veggies and the noodles. Like I said portion was very little.

The location is an old hat shop next to 580, but you don’t hear the freeway even from the outdoor seating, which is very nice and heated in the evening. The owner is of Viet descent and the food reflects that even as it expands and explores way beyond any single ethnic category. Come here to sample a wide variety of flavors and textures and let your tongue celebrate each one. Dishes are shared, family style, and we loved everything from the vegan rice cake to the short rib and the whole rock fish. The mussels were perhaps my favorite. We will definitely be back!

Great ambience and delicious farm to table fresh sharing plates. Really nice spot to get together with friends - we sat inside but also nice tables outside too with heater lamps. A few favorite dishes were the squash, summer farm salad, mussels and the red snapper tartare.

Our lunch was delicious. All three of us had the same which was the rice vermicelli noodle bowl. Wonderful! We were sitting between the kitchen and the bar which was very noisy. When I go again I will sit outside.
