Burma (modernized name - Myanmar) is a Southeast Asian country about the size of Texas, tucked between India and China, is a home to various ethnic tribes, a melting pot of beautiful cultures. When it comes to taste-buds tingling cuisines, Burma has a lot to offer. It has been a passionate dream for Burma-born owners Kalvin and Poe to open a Burmese restaurant to be able to share their culinary culture. That dream came true in 2019 when Top Burmese opened as a virtual takeout only restaurant from a commissary kitchen in NW Portland. Due to its authenticity, made to order, home-style cooking, and Burmese hospitality, Top Burmese traditional and modern Burmese dishes became so popular effectively evangelizing the masses to become Burmese Food fans.     Beautiful and eclectic interior, natural with many plants. Lychee cocktail, noodles, samosas, EVERYTHING was delicious.

    This restaurant is more focused on aesthetics than actual flavor. Six tiny samosas for 17 dollars. Pumpkin curry had no flavor. Overall quite lacking. The robots seem unnecessary. The prices are extreme when the food is less than mediocre. Will not be returning.

    Food was absolutely delicious. So were the drinks. My only recommendation to others would be to only order food when you are ready to eat, not all at once. The food came out SOO fast! Definitely not a con, we just weren't prepared for it to come out so quickly but certainly a pleasant surprise.

    It was a little loud for us. All the surfaces are hard so sound is not muted. We ordered the fish and the okra curry. The sauces were too hot for one of the diners and there was no mild sauce available even to put on the rice. Also, due to portion size, we felt that it was not good for two people. A foursome could order four dishes and share and I think that would come out just right. Decor is very interesting and appealing, although the high stools are shallow in depth so not particularly comfortable. Loved the adorable robot.
